- Hey guys!! I FINALLY tried out an Ariana Grande perfume!! (well actually two, but they kinda are the same soo...) haha I thought I would give you guys my thoughts on Cloud and the Cloud 2.0 Intense fragrance! I really do enjoy the perfume and super happy to have it in my collection! Let me know what you think if you have tried the new version!! If you spray Cloud on your clothes it lasts for DAYS. One of my absolute favorite perfumes!
I like the base and I’m super happy it’s removable instead of one piece, however I wish there was an option to buy without the base because I plan on repurchasing but don’t need to keep getting bases.
I’m sure you could email the merch company/her shop and ask them to leave it out, or you could ask it in the “notes for seller” part in checkout!! (if her shop has that! I’ve never bought from her before) :D
I thought this, too! Like you can buy the perfume and base upon initial purchase, but to be more eco-friendly, having the option to just buy the bottle (or if you just don't want the base). I don't mind the base too much but feel a bit terrible buying that wasteful plastic base over and over and over, again. :/

I love Ariana Grande’s “Ari” and “moonlight” too. They are Sweet, fruity scents.
Try Moonlight, it’s my absolute favorite and my signature scent. Moonlight lasts longer to me. Cloud is my second but I have to be in a mood for that. The 2.0 I just smelled today and it does smell the same but stronger? Literally like a 2.0 where it’s just the same scent but amplified. I might just buy the 2.0 because it might last longer.
I don’t know why but R.E.M. I hate even though all the notes make sense for me. I think it smells like really chemical cologne lol
The only one I have is Moonlight and I love it. I’ve had it for about 6 months and it’s still going strong in my collection. Definitely recommend trying it out - even just a small size. 💜🌙
Moonlight I’ve gone through 3x… I don’t have to wear much of it and it stays throughout the whole day! It’s like a less sweet version of Cloud, even though I also have Cloud lol

Another similar fragrance to Cloud, I find is D&G Dolce Garden. Sweet and coconutty. I think you'd like it also. Another similar one is Kate Spade Live Colorfully. And just 1 more suggestion: Versace Crystal Noir. It's a ginger and coconut fragrance. Really nice.
I used to use Moonlight and it’s one of the VERY few perfumes I have ever fully used up. It’s like, sweet, musky, but not fruity? Just a nice sweet pleasant musk. I am absolutely awful at describing scents but I think it’s definitely worth a “spray the tester on your wrist and see how you like it throughout the day”

I'm loving all the fragrance content! I've been super obsessed with fragrance lately too! I think we have similar tastes, and I think you might like Maison Margiela Whispers in the Library. My BF and I both love it and wear it.
I definitely want to get a travel of that to really test it out!! I have been loving a lot of the replica scents!!
Whispers in the library is my favorite replica scent besides By the fireplace (for fall.) I bought the replica sampler from Sephora.
@@Katmorrow90 It is soooo good. The full size is marked down on Sephora and it makes me nervous they might be discontinuing it. If it comes back into stock I might need to grab a few (or hundred) backups.
I have Cloud original and I like it, but you're right about the "plastic" notes. When I first got it I thought it was something lingering from the plastic base off-gassing, but no, it's in the perfume itself. Odd and makes it a "sometimes" scent for me.
Cloud definitely grew on me. I got a 1 oz of cloud from tj maxx, and I was like “meh, overhyped.” But now I love it! Cloud intense is very good too, but for $60 something? I wish there was a smaller size, I would definitely buy it.

For anyone who needs a dupe for Cloud, In the Stars by Bath and Body Works smells the same! Currently wearing that and REM by Ariana all the time!!
Ohhh thanks for tip! I have In The Stars and I plan to buy Cloud anyway lol but now I have something to layer it with to hopefully increase longevity x 🤞 😊
Oh my gosh I have to tell you that Victoria's secret midnight bloom lotion smells spot on 💯. It's exactly the same. I dont have the body spray if there is one but i have the lotion and it's great for layering😀.
Ok I literally thought I was crazy because I always get like a “plastic note” from cloud! I feel so validated lol. Are you gonna try any more? I’m interested to hear your thoughts because I really like so much and I know I’m always in the comment section being like “try her shit!” I feel like ari and thank you next both have more coconut!
Same! I finally decided that it smells like bubbles to me in the after smell. Like plastic bottle with a wand blowing bubbles.
I get like an artificial cotton candy kind of vibe sometimes.
Cloud definitely didn’t vibe on my skin, so I also got the plastic-y smell. Moonlight is for sure my fave Ariana fragrance tho
@@Becuador7 moonlight is my least lol. I liked rem, but it gave me migraines. Sweet like candy is my fave. But I wouldn’t say it’s super long lasting either

Prada Candy is a yummy office appropriate gourmand. I’ve worn others that got too much attention.
I tested it and fell in love with the coconut because I loooove coconut. However, I did pick up on the medicinal smell after you mentioned it. Couldn't pin point it. Like.. latex? Idk. I still really love it and am purchasing the 2.0 today.:)
Ha ha - 1 more - D & G Pour Femme. Sweet marshmallow and sandalwood fragrance. I really like it.
Cloud is my all time favorite! I’m on my 10th bottle!!! I get lots of compliments on it and it really works well with my body chemistry!!! XoxoX I can’t wait to smell the intense!!! I want it so bad!! XoxoX

What size are you getting? I got the 1.7oz on a whim in case I didn’t like it and I’m halfway through bottle now since July wearing it almost every day. I’m definitely going to get 3oz next time around.

what does it smell like?
I recently got the Ariana Grande perfume sampler set from Ulta! I'm not sure if it is because of the small bottles or not, but every one of her perfumes smell the same to me. Bottles are adorable though!
Sometimes it is hard to get the accurate smell from small bottles or dabbers! Haha I usually need the full spray experience to get my thoughts! They little bottles are sooooo cute!
I have the original cloud and one thing about it that I haven't heard anyone mention is that it has a saltiness to it. Or am I the only one who thinks that? It's not bad tho. It kind of gives it a beachy vibe and goes well with the whipped cream/coconut scent. It's one of my favorite perfumes. Anyone else notice the saltiness?🤔
I would definitely agree that it is cloud, I'm from Perth in Australia and it's literally so hard to get, it's always sold out!

Cloud is already so intense..my 7 year old loves it lol and I swear I still smell it when I take her clothes to do laundry! I don't think they needed an intense version
I think they did. It doesn’t last as long on me as Moonlight does, even though I love both scents.

Personally I don't think Cloud and Fancy smell similar at all. Fancy is just sickeningly sweet basic gourmand and I can't take it, but Cloud is a sophisticated sweet smell with more complexity. I adore Cloud and I can't wear Fancy at all
Edit: I tried Fancy again today and it is not as bad as I remember. It is a very sweet caramel gourmand, but I can handle wearing it and actually enjoy it. It isn't similar to Cloud at all though

I haven’t smelled fancy but am obsessed with trésor la nuit , and I heard fancy smells very similar to that
cloud is my favorite scent but i just hate that the wear time is not that great. I would pay more for one that *actually* lasts all day
Cloud is one of my favorite perfumes. It has a very nostalgic kids plastic toy smell.
Cloud is fantastic it’s like a grown up sweet smell. The longevity is my only gripe! I wish it had more of the longevity of my Idole!
How long does it last?
@@trybesiman my Idole I can smell on myself for at least 7 hrs. Others can smell it on me longer.

My favorite scent right now is rue 21 black. I also like pink sugar. I love sweet smelling scents. Recently my rue 21 black isn’t in stores so I’m looking for a new scent. After seeing this video I want to try out the first version of the cloud perfume. I can’t wait to try it out. Ty for sharing. I would love it you did more perfume videos.
Cloud always smelled too masculine on me but my boyfriend wears it and loves it! Maybe I’ll get him the cloud intense
Samara is basically the same as danger by roja dove for women
Samsara is well cheaper and it’s basically the same fragrance

i have every single one of ari’s perfumes and i mean every single mainly bc my mom just bought me the fan box of cloud 2.0 and i’m excited bc cloud og is my absolute fav i have 5 bottles of it lol but i’m excited to smell and have cloud 2.0

You’re inspiring me to get into fragrance! My absolute favorite fragrance of all time is Bath and Body Works Into the Night… seems crazy to love a B&BW fragrance so much, but I’ve just never found anything as perfect as that one, no matter how many real, expensive perfumes I’ve tried. Curious if you have any light to shed on that one, although I’m pretty sure it’s not up your alley. :)

I had that issue too when I first smelled it when it first launched in the uk everyone was saying it smelled amazing and I couldn’t smell anything 🥲

Fancy is my work fragrance, and people love it! Sometimes I layer a tuberose perfume with it to give it more depth. But especially the past year with social distancing and wearing masks, there's no point in wearing my expensive perfumes to work.
I have the original Cloud and honestly, I don't like it. I get compliments on it when I do decide to wear it but idk, that medical sterile plastic smell that you mentioned is all I can seem to smell. Like, it smells off.. but I can't figure out why and it's always smelled like that so I know it hasn't turned or anything. EDIT: I really like the original Ari and Sweet like Candy, but my favourite has to be the holiday edition of Ari, in the red bottle. It's very sweet but it always seems to put me in a good mood.
Lauren! Since you're into fragrances and the idea of fantasies and such, have you tried the brand Imaginary Authors? I think it is right up your alley.
I’m so confused…I’ve smelled AG fragrances in Ulta and they’ve never clicked for me, but the scents notes sound perfect. And of course the rave reviews! What the heck? Maybe I need some samples.
Ulta has a travel size sampler for $40. They’re dabber bottles not sprays though.
Sometimes stuff doesn’t smell good until it wears a little longer.

I despise cloud. I didn't like br540 at first and they somehow smell the same to me but cloud smells like the cheap version, while br540 smells smoother and nicer. Br540 has grown on me, though I still don't love it (I much prefer Burberry Her), but cloud smells like a cheap body splash and something about it gives me bathroom vibes, like walking into a bathroom right after someone else has showered, and I hate it.
I would love to smell God is a Woman but I know that is 100% the name and not the scent notes

Okay speaking of fancy.. fancy love smells SO similar to cloud. Cloud has more of a burnt cotton candy feel but they are pretty close.
Also I love REM, thank u next, and thank u next 2.0 is really good too!!

Can anyone compare to Lush fragrances? I haven't had the chance to try AG fragrances, but the description for Cloud reminds me of American Cream and R.E.M. of Twilight.
few months late BUT american cream is more strawberry milkshake (I've only tried the conditioner, not sure how perfume of this is) and Cloud smells like marshmallow w musk to me. in my opinion, very different scents but in the same genre - if you like one you'd likely enjoy the other!

I think I would got with the original! Truly they smell so similar and I like the bottle of the first one more, haha plus it’s just the OG! I just have to spray it a lot!
I would get the intense because they smell the same but you get more bang for your buck with the intense version because you spray less, no brainer!

I really love Ariana's R.e.m.. it's a creamy lavender skinscent and I love wearing it for datenights in. I also feel like it's a dupe for zadic and voltari This is her.
i love cloud, but i recently purchased R.E.M. and realised i love it even more and use it alot more often than cloud now. i might go for thank u next next, but i am a bit discouraged because of the opening (it does smell a bit like pickles 😂)

For some reason the only thing I pick up in the cloud perfume is this heavy musk. II don't smell whipped cream I don't smell sugar. Maybe my nose is broken lol.

I have TUN and REM and I kid you not my friend had on cloud 2.0 yesterday and when she got in my car I just had to ask her. I'm definitely putting it on my list. The crazy thing is earlier that day I was in Ulta and I was smelling all of the perfumes and I didn't like the way God is a woman smells and I wasn't feeling cloud 2.0. But now I am. I didn't like the original cloud because it smelled like rubbing alcohol to me did anyone else get that or maybe it was just me.
I’m terms of celebrity fragrances, I hope you try KKW! My absolute favorites are Blue Roan, Sapphire Diamond, Ruby Diamond, and Amber and my fiancé also loves Amber as well as Body II. I also love and miss With Love by Hilary Duff. If you can find a bottle that’s good, it’s the most amazing fragrance. In terms of KKW to skip, I would skip the lips and hearts, they all smell nice but very synthetic so even though I own some of them, I rarely use them. The Crystals smell nice but all smell very similar with slight differences, so if you like one, you’ll like them all.

"Ari" by Ariana Grande and "Fancy" by Jessica Simpson are dupes IMO.
Not they're not. Totally different notes and I own both. Smell different. Only thing in common is they are both sweet and fruity.
