    In this video I want to prove that the Z Fold5 belongs in flagship camera territory. Not because of it's camera hardware, but it's flexibility. I dive DEEP into the ways you can take advantage of the Foldable form factor.

    The cameras are totally fine but it does need the 10x optical zoom from the S23 ultra. We are paying a premium for folds so they should have the at least the same or better camera features of less expensive models

    Once again a great video. I do the same when we are having food together. After a few seconds nobody cares for the camera and you can take amazing natural videos from your family😊 If I may, I would like to add two of the most important and unique use-cases that just Z Fold gives me.
    The first one: You are on vacation, enters a Church and you start capturing e.g. the ceiling. In Flex Mode you bring down the view finder and can take pictures without breaking your neck, without a tripod and in an extreme stable hands-free position. It is simply unbelievable. You can do the same if certain rooms of the Church are closed behind grilles. Just fold the phone, put the camera through the grille, unfold in Flex Mode and take pictures/videos from every point of the room hassle free.
    The second one: the optical stabilization is already great. But if you open the Z Fold in Flex Mode, bring down the view finder, and walk while simply looking down on the view finder, you get another level of stabilization, and also stability in keeping the frame, in particular because the Z Fold is also a bit heavier, make holding it more stable.

    • @techwithbenefits
      @techwithbenefits  9 месяцев назад

      Yes! That toggle to move the viewfinder down is a great option and has those use cases like you mentioned

      Thanks so much for the tips. When I was watching this video, I was thinking how to move the top screen to the bottom if I wanted to do some fancy shooting, then came to the comments! I didn't know there was a view finder button until I read your comment! I just tried it, and that's going to help me with several shots. I got my Fold 5 about 2 months ago. I will be going on vacation in December, so wanted to learn as much as I possibly can before the trip. Thanks for your tips.

    18:14 It is indeed very exciting, and I'm quite glad to have come across your channel, myself!
    As a *huge* Samsung fan, I'm quite happy to finally find another place where we can all gather together and truly appreciate what all our Galaxy devices can do; and not just from a hardware standpoint, but also from a software one. Being also deeply into the Samsung ecosystem, it's really refreshing to see someone who can highlight all of its features and advantages without referring to them as "bloatware" for example, as it's only with Samsung's own apps and services that one can truly understand what the Galaxy ecosystem really is about.
    Here's hoping your channel will only continue to grow exponentially, as you really deserve it! So keep up the awesome work! 😃🔥

I am about to get a Galaxy Z Fold 5 (from Christmas shopping for myself), and I had a few reservations about the cameras. Great video! I considered "upgrading" my Fold 5 for the S24 Ultra for the flagship cameras. I'm not only impressed but a bit embarrassed that I've had the Fold 5 for almost a year without realizing how capable the cameras are. I'm going to stick with my Fold 5 and explore all of the many tips and tricks you mentioned in the video. Excellent work!

    I gave a lengthier comment on your 2-month review video, but I'll bring it up here too...why no flash option when taking a selfie with the rear-facing camera in cover screen preview mode? That flash could really help with poorly lit selfies or get rid of the shadow that can be cast on you by the large screen if there is lighting behind the camera.

    • @techwithbenefits
      @techwithbenefits  8 месяцев назад +2

      I agree. They could at least offer the selfie option of lighting up the screen with a soft light as a flash option.
      My thoughts are that it's a safety concern to not allow it, as there is a warning when turning on the flashlight with the Flip5 when the phone is closed to avoid it flashing in your eyes. I get why it's not there, but there could be an option provided

    HELP PLEASE!
    I want to use the main camera to film a work bench from above whilst I repair things - but monitor what’s being filmed with the front screen.
    So basically open to 90 degrees with the main camera horizontal and the front screen vertical towards me.
    I just tried this in store but found the front sceen showed a mirror version - so my hands were at the top of the screen instead of the bottom for.
    Is there any solution to this?

    • @techwithbenefits
      @techwithbenefits  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey mate!
      I have an idea you can try, put the phone into flex mode using only the inner display. So the cameras pointing down and the inner display folded at 90 facing you
      The top half of the inner display will be your preview of the cameras in the correct orientation!

    Does this or does this not support wide angle video?

    • @aberdeenmeadows
      @aberdeenmeadows 8 месяцев назад

      It does support - but it is in various modes. So 4k 30fps and lower has the wide-angle video mode. 4k 60 and 8k 30 don't. It was disappointing to me at first, but now that I know which, what, and where it's super easy for me to choose the setting quickly before shooting the video. There are times when I will do 8k 30 and after a few minutes, will switch to 4k 30 so I can utilize wide angle.

      Of course, you don't know (and others too - not just you). That's the beauty of this world. Some of us have different NEEDS than you or have different circumstances. The cool thing is, while Samsung and Apple continue to make improvements year after year, you always have the option to stick to 1080 video and let us who NEED the extra year after year, to do our content creation.
      It's like some people play football or baseball. They don't need all the equipment or a stadium to play in, like the professionals. But, with football and baseball, year after year, there are improvements on equipment, safety, training, etc. We didn't stop at say, 1970, and say "Welp, good enough today, good enough for the next fifty years!"

      @@techwithbenefits I have worked for large companies with 10k+ employees managing purchasing, repair, warranty claims and recycling for all manner of IT hardware from Netscalers and storage arrays to PCs, Laptops and Cell phones for over 20 years. Folding screen phones and 2 in 1s, in my experience, have a much shorter life cycle due to failure at the hinge. Execs see them and want the cool kids toy. I only buy them when rank forces my hand. I will however tell them "it will only look cool until it fails, and it will, then it will not only become a productivity issue but it will also look like a big waste of money". Most heed the voice of experience.
