I just started playing a month or so ago. This is really going to help me I think. Thanks for all the effort to figure this out, sir. I appreciated it a bunch.
I just wanna know how to do the running sweep kick. I have beaten the game twice and got both endings and still habent done the running sweep. Is it just trigger up down heavy attack?
It's an ability you unlock. You can't be older than 30, so it's further down on the skill tree. You run and then press heavy attack . Up down heavy or down up heavy is just a standing sweep.
It would be, if not the clunky camera and non-intuitive target swapping in crowd fights. There are also problems with non-combat aspects, such as underdeveloped "not-rogue-lite" mechanics and crippled exploration/replayability design, which altogether prevent it from actually holding a masterpiece level. Comparing it to a raw uncut diamond would be more correct.
@@k338914 i beat the game twice from scratch and got every ending, the second time I only unlocked 9 moves (only 4 were actual combos) and it took 4 runs and I spared every boss in that playthrough. Yes the camera is rough, but if you know how to play the game, its really a non-issue. TLDR: git gud bud
@@conservativestrawman9837 You seem to be mistaken "an issue" to "a thing making the game difficult and/or hard to beat". Things that contribute to actual game difficulty, on the core combat level, are done very well. OTOH, things like bad camera still severely diminish the *perceived* quality of gameplay, even for those who mastered the combat and got gud already. In the same way, shallowness of the skill tree and grindy nature of "permanent move unlock" doesn't hinder the ability to beat the game with minimal unlocked moves (or even without any unlocks at all) by a skilled player. However they still fail in their intended design of a "rogue-lite progression", making the player feel pushed/forced instead of lured into repeated runs. Again, these things aren't kind of "artificial difficulty" by itself, these are just the aspects that have been implemented objectively bad from the point of game design and overall enjoyment.
@@k338914 you overstate the camera issue. It has some problems but It also has parts when it's used to great effect. You're also not taking into consideration that, depending g on the moves you choose to unlock, a players playstyle will differ from another's playstyle. That's not shallow, and furthermore, "grinding" xp is something that most players won't need to do, because whenever they play a level again to decrease their age as to make the next level more manageable, they'll also earn XP, and more importantly, skill. Seems to me that the roguelike elements of the game contribute to players learning how to play the game better, and there are incentives to do so beyond just mere punishment. Seems like these so called "objective" flaws weren't very objective at all. Also, in the future, you don't have to point out if something objective or not. It just makes it seem that you're trying to make your own point sturdier than it actually is. Objective facts don't need reinforcement to stand on their own.

I’m not going to play sifu but love hearing the technical breakdowns from Mayo. Content is so well-structured and satisfying
It's a masterpiece. Better than most games I've played recently.
I just started playing a month or so ago. This is really going to help me I think. Thanks for all the effort to figure this out, sir. I appreciated it a bunch.

Been a fan for a while Mayo, thanks for keeping this epic stuff going!
Ground kicking oponents to death , also known as the Billy Batts scene simulator , relive your inner Robert De Niro fellas 😂😂
Infinite sweet does work on bosses I saw a RUclips video guy beat yang in under 4 minutes doing that
Making two tutorial videos on Sifu tells me that you really like this game, that's great, I haven't played it but it looks clean and satisfying
Mayo making tutorial means he likes this stuff sifu

Something tells me Mayo likes this game. I don’t know why I know. It seems very subtle…🤪

Hope Mayo will say something about camera angles in this game. I didn't played yet and looks like camera isn't comfortable enough sometimes
That'll be left for the review. The camera is awful.
You need to play some fighting games next good sir 😉
I do. I was a tournament mortal kombat player for 10 years, I'm dabbling in Killer Instinct as well.
@@underthemayo the New guilty gear is a pretty beginner friendly to get into as well. Same with Dragon ball fighter z.
@@VenomousBAndre I'm just not a fan of they art styles of those games. And I get really tired of all the constant supers in DBZ.
have u ever played metal gear rising?
Years ago, I need to try it again.

Has this been patched out yet?
Sadly yeah.
@@underthemayo I saw the sweep loops were patched in 1.07 so all the big loops are patched?
Me: beats game twice from scratch and gets every ending
Also me who sees this: well I only unlocked 9 moves on my 2nd playthrough....

Mayo must be really starved for good combat systems if he’s obsessing over this of all games.
Yeah it's been pretty dry out there. I'm LOVING this.
Hey Mayo, you should check out “Cultic” on steam. There’s a free demo right now that’s really good, it’s sort of a spiritual successor to blood
