I noticed something years ago watching 2 day old fawns that were laying flat. Whenever they would hear a dog bark way off in the distance that their little noses would start breathing harder which I think raised their heart rate. But they do adapt over time which has made them a great survival story everywhere. They r born with an instinct that was passed down from a time b4 dogs were even around. It all goes back to the big bad wolf. The green bowl might have had some of her residue on it or it just might be out of place for them & something new to adjust for. One thing is for sure. They really make u learn alot over time. Hope u & Chris r having a good start to the New Year.
Love the beautiful new pup! The one deer who was eating out of the bowl at the end of the video seems to have a sore rear leg. Walks very gingerly and holds it off the ground. I wonder if the deer were concerned about the distress they could hear from the pup when she wanted to come in to you.
I was thinking recently about Chris having the food on the porch for Lucy's herd and feeding them. Please keep trying it. I love it....The Pup is just precious. Thanks Jimmy 🦌🦌🦌

Leave the puppy inside until the deer get used to the bowl...or go back out with the puppy after you put the bowl down. Chris had a lot of grapes and cookies in her bowls for Lucy & Milburn.
Probably would have worked a little better to get the deer used to eating from the bowl without the dog, once the deer were used to eating from the bowl then bring Benelli. Two new experiences for the deer to process .
Definitely try it again, only without Benelli. They were obviously way too concerned about her. If you go out there with a bowl of food without Benelli, I bet everyone would dig right in.

Everyone on U Tube has dogs and most of the time they are a pain when they try to do the shots. Arms has the same problem with all of his dogs. All that work and can still hear the dog. Wild child has a hurt back right leg looks like.
I got a puppy yeas ago and I would go to work with my hands all tore up. Another worker told me to get real leather gloves to put on and play with that pup. I miss seeing Chris feeding the deer out of that bowl.
She sure is hard to break. I want her to stop doing that biting. Her teeth are like pointed razors. I sure miss Chris feeding the deer as well. Hopefully she has a baby or two more to feed this Spring. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

You seem like a wonderful man… But, the only thing I didn’t like was hearing you say you “slapped the puppy and said No” when she was a little rough playing with her teeth. Maybe because that bowl is plastic I’m sure it has a petroleum scent possibly it might be a issue doubtful but possibly cardboard box or maybe metal deer have super nose and hearing unfortunately eyesight is not good but no reason to pass up that food just nervous
why not use a water spray bottles for correcting the pup. instead of getting frustrated in teaching to me it’s abusive 👋🏻 your starting over relearning patience and perseverance set the water on stream setting
