He took a direct shot at Monster Jam, and I love that. "Any fool can roll a truck" is true. I've never sat in a competitive monster truck, but I bet I could roll it within 20 minutes. Bigfoot does roll their trucks, but when it happens, it's only by accident. Dan, Rick, Larry, Jerry, Rodney and Amber have rolled, but not on purpose. That's what I love about Bigfoot...they put on a great show without the destruction.
Could not agree more. And It's not just because I'm a Bigfoot fan and supporter of Bob Chandler. I grew up watching these trucks RACE and that's what I want to see them do. Give me a race bracket over a bunch of destruction for destruction's sake any day of the week.
BOB CHANDLER WAS THE MAN BACK IN THE DAY AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE MAN FOR MONSTER TRUCKS !!!!! Good engineering designs that has allowed to kids of the 21st century to enjoy what adults liked 30 yrs ago
@TruckShowNationTV It sure does, right from the beginning too with being hesitant to even go out and crush cars for an audience all those years ago. Goes to show what a class act he and his company are! I've been a looooong time fan and truly hope that Mr. and Mrs. Chandler are enjoying their well deserved retirement!
@dwp139 remember the long jump that Dan did with bigfoot 14, the truck didnt even roll nor did it break. A true testament that bigfoot can wow the fans yet not break nor flip over. Long live bigfoot.
if you watch a monster jam show on tv they brush over the entire race in two minutes. driver skill and racing is a thing of the past but thanks to RUclips i can watch the penda points series and the monster blog for more recent coverage :)
that shot needed to be taken FELD motorsports "monster jam" kinda ruined the fun of watchin monster trucks for me. The days of the PENDALINER series on trucks and tractor power were the real great days of monster trucks. even tho im a Dodge guy. the technological advances of the trucks is best showcased by monster jam but when guys roll and ur like thats the 5th one so far it just seems pointless to watch.
Have to agree with him. Seems a similar view to Everett jasmer too. Why on earth would u do stuff on purpose. Professional wrestling on wheels. No thanks.
I see your point but I'd disagree, the snakebite trucks still didn't crash or roll on purpose. It just added a bit of fun and flare to the penda championship. And allowed Bigfoot to run two trucks without running two "bigfoots"
Orange Crate yeah exactly. I watched the 25th or 30 anniversary special on gravedigger. Scott Douglas who to me is a massive voice in monster trucks said how people like Everett Jasmer built these super fast big trucks. And Dennis couldn't compete. The whole show basically put a positive spin, on "Dennis can't drive to win, or build a truck that can win" and then went on to explain that he used to beg TNT to let him to out and "freestyle" after being knocked out the competition usually very early on. So essentially. Crap racer who was good at crashing. And somehow turned an entire industry round to suit his lack of talent.
Orange Crate one day. Someone needs to win millions on the lottery and start superstock monster truck racing. Metal bodies, leaf springs and engine in the front where it should be.
Rich Scales people race classic cars from the 1920s and 1920s technology. No one is saying the modern monster truck isn't an amazing piece of engineering. But for some of us the scaled up dune buggy with a plastic body shell just doesn't have the same appeal as a proper truck, made large.

Dustin Parks that's why nobody watches monster jam lol
Bob Chandler and Bigfoot.. what classy icons!
Bob Chandler created something that made fathers and sons bond around the world. I can't thank him enough.

Bigfoot has the best and most up to date built trucks

The chassis on 14 did sustain a crack from the 202' jump, that is why 15 did a more conservative jump of only 148' over the same 727 jet plane.

Yep, they bent the front part of the frame. Can't remember if it was the left or right side during that jump.
I had the rc model of bigfoot 1 back in 1986 and a rc model of the usa-1 monster truck between 2000 and 2010. :-)

Yes, TNT and Penda series were the best! My next favorite shows would be Performance Motorsports and Rich Shaffer shows.
ICON
Do you still have your very first truck I don't know which one you're going to the breeding but I'm curious please comment back
Yes, Bob still has Bigfoot # 1. They also have # 8 their 1st tube frame race truck.
Before bigfoot was famous
Bob chandler as an old man
You will be too some day
