Imagine them getting another coach on here. Nash is legendary for always adapting. Can’t wait to see what happens. I’m gonna be routing for Brooklyn as a Miami heat fan til we play each other lol
Jeremy Reckless i think the problem is more that English is like his 4th language, i have the same problem when trying to expres myself and be funny and things like that
Nash was my favorite player. He's a brilliant guy, on and off the court. He definitely seems like someone who could succeed in coaching. One thing that always jumps out to me is how open he is to modern basketball. Too many former players fail as coaches because they're stuck in the past. You have to be constantly looking forward.

Nash paved the way for the modern small-ball fast-pace get 3s type of play
wanted to say something about the championship discussion which was super deep - Nash is right - there is great deal of luck that goes into winning an NBA championship. Most media members like to talk about generalities like "wanting it more" or "level of effort" but any team playing a championship game is absolutely filled with player who want it. But while it may take luck to win a championship, it takes Skill to be lucky. Meaning you aren't going to get the lucky bounce that wins you the game if you didn't work your butt off for 40+ minutes in order to keep it within 2 pts. You aren't going to go into the playoffs healthy if you aren't working on keeping your body as your temple and staying away from adverse conditions. You aren't going to have a lucky moment if you spent the entire season slacking off and not doing the work to gain the trust of your team and coaches. So luck matters at the end, but to find luck you have to have put in the work. Otherwise the lucky bounce is just another meaningless 2 points in a game you lose.
This, Bosh, & D Wade have been my favorite pod episodes so far; I love getting a glimpse into the reflective place that former players go in such a genuine space.
Condor Gaming That’s when guys are when being asked by reporters. They have to be careful of what they say. But on this podcast, he can curse, y’all about locker room stuff with an old teammate.
Nash is the real deal. Awesome podcast. Nash is so articulate & so humble. Met him one night in London years ago in the lobby of a hotel - awesome fellow Canadian - just don't beat our Raptors, Steve!~ ;o)
Damn bruh, a lil ways in i was like “lmao lemme take a bowl every time this dude says connectivity” 😂😂 i made it like 3/4 thru i cant do it no more im stoned 😂😂😂😂😂😂💯💯
1st of all credits to JJ for just being a good sound board for these players and such, I'm sure it helps to be able to relate to many of them. BUT I also gotta shout out ol dude who just shuts tf up and letting the 2 guys talk and occasionally asks questions. Whenever he does choose to speak it's insightful and refreshing. You'd be surprised how many ppl don't get that timing down and it takes away from the content. EDIT: Not that Tommy isnt a good listen just that some ppl can't help but interject and you just realize in comparison "w8 these 2 players are just chopping it up". It feels like he's our stand in as the fan fly on the wall listening in.
What a brilliant conversation. Love Steve AND the questions from JJ and Tommy are excellent. I'm a Warriors' fan and am aware of how much what Steve Kerr did with that team has been transformative to the league. That Steve Nash points to his time with the Warriors as being pivotal in his decision to become a coach makes complete sense to me. And honestly, listening to him is like listening to Steve Kerr... both intelligent and humble with a great skill set for this job. That Steve Kerr had the good fortune to be with the Bulls and Spurs during their championship years has doubtless helped him develop both as a person and a coach. I look forward to Steve Nash's development as a coach. The Nets are struggling but they're figuring out how to involve THREE superstars, two of whom love to have the ball in their hands. Kevin can do it all but as he demonstrated with the Warriors, he doesn't always need to be the center or attention. I wish them well.
Fascinating to see the difference in perspectives and eloquence. Like JJ is articulate above most NBA players, but Nash's perspective and, what seems like, from him being an MVP where JJ was never close is really shown. Like where they're talking about regrets or looking back, Nash's ideas about things are just so much more matured. No slight to Redick. I love this pod. But just fascinating to see the perspective difference between the two
it was presented as a collab with the boardroom, so i bet something like working out the revenue split w/ 35ventures is keeping them from posting the full video
Awesome interview. A quick suggestion, you should ask fans to send some questions for the end of each episode. I'd have loved it to ask him about his love for football and Tottenham Hotspurs
I love your podcast and this interview guys but the Ads man!! I mean I would have never thought that I would get more commercials on RUclips than I get on regular TV but you did it with this episode!
nash is one of my fav player of all time, congrats on the new job, really hope u can make it work with those 2, but u really have to show them who the boss is, early.
Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell would be awesome guests to have on the show. Both of them having incredible ascension into offensive superstar level players for their teams but also with Mitchell dealing with the Gobert stuff when the NBA was suspended.

Doesn’t matter if the next MJ is a Canadian, Steve Nash will always be the best Canadian basketball player of all time for what he did for the culture here and how many young players came after inspired by him. The championship wouldn’t have been his greatest accomplishment even if he had one.
Every nba team needs to realize their identity. "Culture" has got to be the word players get excited about, because what it does is force them to think outside themselves. It must be a relaxing thought to know that your teammate is working diligently to sacrifice for the team in ways on the basketball court that compliment the roster already assembled in the most efficient way possible. That's put together in a way that's intentional by the gm and ownership team, and makes their team look like the best version of the WOLVES or the SUNS or the JAZZ of all time AND is modern and can play multiple styles well depending on the opponent.
Steve nash is so humble, hope he gets a ring in brooklyn

First name Last name yeah but they act like he did it on his own
I'd agree but i hate kyrie and KD for their off court antics, so i don't want them rewarded
