I didn't know there were so many more Caldari than any other race, but it makes sense; their lore is all about one of the major mechanics of the game (corporations), they're where Jita is, and their ships look very badass
reason most are caldari is because it had better starting skills earlier in the games history
it's also worth noting that in the early years of EVE, skill training was influenced by your character's race and caldari offered the best boost to get to the things people waned to do (can't remember what exactly)
I chose Caldari because it had the market. Freedom, over a market? Nah
I didn't know this either, but I've always chosen Caldari, going back to 2006. Very interesting.

My spouse works in intercultural communication training and would disagree with you.
Diversity in itself can be a tremendous obstacle, it causes miscommunication, exclusion, and bias. But if that obstacle can be overcome then the unique talents that every human has (whether they are 'diverse' according to corporate culture or not) can be brought forth and utilized.
Diversity is a strength is essentially a religious statement, it's a faith based opinion.

@IndrasilDesignStudio the game is what it is, women are already more than welcome. If they want to play they will and plenty already do.
@@zhain0 Yeah but they don't feel welcome, as the demographics of the game show, and this panel is to make it a little bit less of a trend
@IndrasilDesignStudio no, this is a non-issue being made into one. The game is perfectly welcoming to women, if they want to play it they can. Just because it's mostly guys playing doesn't mean the game and players are not welcoming to women.

More women have said they've made friends in eve then men. Wouldnt that suggest the opposite? Group play vs solo play seems about the same percentage, so they dont seem to be flying by themselves any more then men do. What about those demographics in your opinion suggests any sex is less welcome then the other? Only thing I've heard that suggests that are the personal accounts of the ladies on stage, but the percentages in the data slide suggest the experiences and activities of both genders ingame are broadly similar, theres just a lot less total women. Says nothing about why there are less women does it?
