You take is legally incorrect. The problematic clause of Section 4.2., in relation to 4.1. does not apply solely to cloud service. Oh no, not at all. It is located in their General TaC and applies to all works-of-art, created by users while using any Adobe software. So, all user creations are licensed to Adobe to use, modify, make derivative works, everything. No matter if created on-device and no matter if no could services were involved.

So Adobe's saying "Don't worry about the legally binding terms, our blog says everything is okay"

I said _adios_ to Adobe when they forced you to RENT, forever. So thankful for Affinity and DaVinci Resolve ... totally replaced Adobe for me. And I'm a professional creator who goes back a LONG time with Adobe. A very long time.

The main problem, regardless of whatever was meant or not, is that without pre warning people were blocked from their content unless they agree to the new terms of service. What if next time they will raise their prices retroactively and unless you agree to pay you will loose access to your content.

Comercial photographers that are under NDA from clients that are developing unreleased products should be considered that Adobes actions with their content put the photographer in violation of the NDA. Must conversations about this seam to be consumers Adobe users, not professional creative professionals.

My take: Adobe will retreat. Many 500 fortune companies use its products and they will not accept being spied.
Do you think Ford, Disney, Meta etc will let Adobe access their files? I don't think so.

Best thing is store it locally or find encrypted cloud service.

They completely missed the part where Adobe grants themselves perpetual license to all of your content

And about everyone should stand down, If you read the terms of service you can clearly see that adobe did try to grab ownership of the content. It was not poorly worded at all:
"4.2 Licenses to Your Content. Solely for the purposes of operating or improving the Services and Software, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free sublicensable, license, to use, reproduce, publicly display, distribute, modify, create derivative works based on, publicly perform, and translate the Content. For example, we may sublicense our right to the Content to our service providers or to other users to allow the Services and Software to operate as intended, such as enabling you to share photos with others. "
They wanted to be able to use it for their purposes, and even resell it to other users. I don't think you can dismiss this text as poorly worded. I think it was purely worded to enable Adobe to do whatever it wanted with the content and the public outcry about it made them issue some lame clarifications.

I have heard about an aspect of this that you kind of skipped past in this video. The way Adobe did this, if you did not agree to the new EULA, then you lost access to *your* files. Let's say you hate the new EULA for no other reason then you think it should have been displayed with a nicer background color. So for whatever your reason is, you're going to abandon Adobe and take your business elsewhere. Well, to take your business elsewhere you first have to extract all your files from Adobe's cloud, and to do *that* you must agree to the EULA. _disclaimer: I have never used anything in Adobe's Creative Cloud, so my previous comment is based on what I've heard from some other people who do use it, and who were _*_very_*_ upset to see an updated EULA which has just the one button it:_ *(ACCEPT)*

I did not open Adobe :). I did not read it :) I am discussing it without having a clue :) Yes we trust Adobe ...:)
I am not a designer and do not have any content stored with Adobe, but I would like to know if this means taking all the content of their customers stored in the cloud and using it for their liking, including, guess what? AI. Bye-bye to creativity.
Actually, who needs anything from Adobe? By the way, TWIT used to have nice content.

Unfortunately, the thing is that they can access ALL projects using their programs, whether uploaded to the cloud or not. All projects are automatically uploaded to the server cloud, which is different. They can use those projects as well.
