I got my Dot Thin setup, but I need to pay monthly fee to upload the social on my profile. I didn’t know I have to pay $10 monthly fee otherwise I would not purchase this Dot Thin.
I ordered mine last week and got it today and it works fine. No issues and I did test using it already. I am excited to have it and use it. It works for todays market. It is $20.00 once for life for each and a $5.00 shipping. I think the card is the best option but to each their own. I am going to use it more starting now. I had a shipping issue and the company was very fast and worked on the issue and took care of it same day. So far I am very impressed.
I just ordered mine bro, u paid 20 dollars to active the card or the 20 dollars u spent on the card comes with it activated already? Sorry if I don’t make sense
I bought this and now know that money doesnt grow on trees. The dorections to activate is Bull. the app is terrible. I bought this on Amazon and at loeast they had customer service. The guy who wrote this review above obviously works for Dot. The advertising of what it is is misleading. Its a scavnger tool for marketing. And a piece of crap. after an hour of trying to activate and trying the non existent customer support and reading the many problems other have its 20 dollars in the garbage. I say dont spend your money on somehting you have no security with
I'm was just wondering, if the cards only cost $20 and is a one-time fee, how do they make any money on this service? I checked their privacy policy and they take the information you provide and sell it to other companies for targeted advertising to cover the ongoing costs. Now that may or may not be an issue to some, but I'd be curious about how much spam they generate in your email Inbox. While I like the idea of the card, I'm not fond of my information being sold to every Tom, Dick and Harry who wants it.
I've seen a ton of a videos and no one is showing. The fact that this comment has 12 likes and this person hasn't responded is giving me pause. I refuse to make the purchase without fully knowing how it works. I don't have all these social media accounts. I just want them to be able to download my contact info in a simple manner and the one time I recall trying to get someone's contact info from a DOT card, it was not as simple as I thought.
I had the same question. If they don't have their NFC on, does it still work? At 4:07, he says android users have to use the QR code. Which isn't true, because Androids still have NFC.
Does it work for android phones too since you specifically said "iphone" ? & if you buy a bundle with multiple cards do they all link to one profile or can you share the other one with someone else & both set up separate profiles on each card?
The "tapping" also works with Android. It works off of NFC which Android has had since at least 2012 or 2013. You have to know where your sensor is. (It's the same place when you use wireless pay. It maynot be at the top of your phone. You also have to have NFC turned on for it to work).
Just curious if your telephone number changes will this auto change for the people who has scanned your card or does it have to essentially be updated by another scan or manual update?
Just curious with all the scams out there how random people you meet and want to share your dot card with them, is there trust issues when you ask someone to let you hold up your dot card to their phone? Just curious if that was ever an issue
I think it's plausible but not viable because to download information the person on the giving end usually has to accept or deny data transfer even if the transferring service has been enabled
I have a trust issue with it . If they can give you information sooner or later it’s gonna take information, and or someone build the clone steals, your bank accounts and everything else thank you but I’ll stay with papper
What if someone wants you to send them your business card and are not next to you. Is there a way you can forward your info without being physically present ?

How is this any different from creating a Beacon or link tree account and printing out one business card with the QR code on it and scanning it with the camera phone
