  • Come along Nat and I to to check out famous Silverton, an old Silver Mining Town located 20 minutes NW of Broken Hill - New South Wales.
Silverton is the location of where numerous Australian films have been made.
One of those is the famous movies is "Mad Max 2"
We visit the Mad Mad Max 2 Museum where Adrian and his wife Linda, have created a collection on items from the actual movie set.
This is a must see for not only Mad Max 2 movie buffs, but for anyone who appreciates Australian made movies.
We hope you enjoy as much as we did.
(Due to photography restrictions, my video shows only a small part of the massive collection.)

I was there filmed a walk through 6 months ago Dec 2023 Adrean is a cool guy, good to talk to, shame you are not allowed to film in the front part of the museum there are some real treasures in that part.

Appreciated the glimpse inside the museum and of Silverton in general.
What was Nat's Return T-shirt from? Was it a custom? Looked like it had He-Man characters :)

Hi and thank you for watching our video.
Yes Silverton was certainly an interesting town. The museum was excellent, a must see for any Madmax fan.
Nat’s shirt was from a band called Lucifer. It was one of the bands who played on the 2018 Kiss Kruise VIII.

Hi Rachel and Jacqueline thank you for watching our video.
You will love Silverton. It’s an easy 20 minute drive north from Broken Hill.
If you are into Australian movies then this is a great place to visit.
The Mad Max 2 museum is amazing, the collection is much larger than what I filmed.
There is the main room where this is a large number of items that can’t be photographed for obvious reasons.
It a credit to Adrian and Linda for putting the massive collection together. They started from scratch and obtained them piece by piece.
After a tour of the town, don’t forget to drop into the Silverton Hotel for a cool drink before heading 5 mins out of town to the Mundi Mundi lookout.
You can look west across the flat plains towards the South Australian boarder.
      It’s a great day out

Hey guys. My partner and I love your video's and have given us plenty of ideas for future travels when we get our off-roadvan later this year.
I also have a Ram on order and was great to see the couple of vids going through your truck.
Just a query but do you use the factory tyres your Ram came with or have you upgraded?

Hi - Thank you so much for watching our videos.
That is awesome news about your new van and new RAM. 😍
You won’t know yourselves travelling around this great country 👍
We are currently still using the factory tyres and find them fine. Admittedly we don’t do any rough 4x4 driving as yet.
They are excellent on the beach.
I’m planning on investing in a more aggressive AT tyre when I replace them. My tyres are roughly half worn after 31000 kms and lots of those kms are towing our 3.5 ton van.
      Thank you
      Glenn and Nat

I am thinking about buying a Ram can please let me know when they are like on fuel

    • @livinglife2themaxx148

      Hi David
Thank you for watching my video.
I suppose your fuel economy is in direct proportion to how heavy your right foot is. The RAM 1500 has a 5.7 litre V8 and it can drink the fuel if you give it some.
However as my daily drive, I average 11 litres per 100. This is mainly country driving.
When I have my van connected and loaded up to 3.5 ton, I normally average 21-22 litres per 100. Of cause if you have a strong head wind and going up hills this will be higher. My worst ever was 24 litres per 100 and that was pushing against a 30 knot westerly.
At the end of a day, when you are towing a 3.5 ton Van, and want to have a legal tow vehicle, there are only a couple of choices.
As we are all starting to learn, once you tow over 3 ton, most of the 3.5 ton Ute’s GVMs are reduced, resulting in overloading and become illegal.
Do yourself a favour and go for a test drive. You will be blown away
      Glenn
