Honestly they always show Kenzie as ‘people’s friend’ like she was Davis’ friend and she is Kingston’s friend and the same with Richelle. They need to show her character instead of just being people’s friend.
West is my favourite character and should be in legend but he maybe deserved a little better coz he only had one main storyline that about previously being on Seeds which was in season 1 which only lasted a few episodes and then after he only helped people in their storylines like chloe leaving and helping James get Riley back.I just remembered he was in a relationship with Emily for a few episodes and that would of been good if was in a relationship with Emily for longer or another girl

Amanda deserved sooooo much better. She literally saved the team and then got made an alternate in S3 and kicked off the dance in S4 by her FRIEND. I'm happy she at least got the Elevator trio. I wish characters like Lola, Jacquie & Amanda got a better send-off because I do think they deserved it. I really like and agree with your list, but i'd put Phoebe higher and Henry in meh, because I don't think he's made much of an impact in the series. I feel like he dances the same every season and his storyline has just revolved around being friends with people and relationship drama. I'd like to see him evolve as a dancer.
Amanda was an alternate because (Logan) the actor who plays her hurt her ankle and she couldn’t dance. Same with (Victoria) Michelle she hurt herself to.

Another issue is that while Chloe was kind-hearted and bubbly (as Lola would be in Season 5), Heather was quite cynical. Heather only shares the money issue with Chloe but Lola embodies Chloe's personality.
I feel like the acting and overall storylines in season 7 so far have become so much more juvenile. It seems a lot more cheesy than before and I wonder if anyone else agrees with me there?
tied to you I known what u mean. It seems like it’s becoming more and more of a kids show rather than a teen show. I’m not exactly sure which one it’s aimed to be. For me it seems like it’s mainly the acting. I love the cast but I don’t know, it’s different from the acting in the first couple of seasons. One potential storyline that I do quite like is one between heath, Izzy and Ozzy. But I don’t know what to expect with the show anymore. 💙
Agree (so far anyway) season 6 seemed like the dancers had grown a lot and they did storylines like pipers anxiety and noah and Michelle thinking of their futures. If I'm being honest at the moment I'm not into season 7 that much and I'm getting a little bored already oops

I think you should rank every duet we have seen on the show even auditions for nationals and other things because I think that would be really interesting because there has been a lot of good duets through the past 6 seasons

Amani XOXO they spent six seasons building on Richelle’s character and crafting her into the person she was in the end of season six after her pas de deux with Noah. She’s finally become this complete character who wasn’t just there to be the ‘bossy one’ to laugh at it and then they went back to her in like season four and undid all her development
I think the whole of the OG cast should be on legends Also I personally think deserved better is very different for whether you like them or not because a lot of the characters I loved were legends but deserved better like Amanda and Giselle

Honestly? He'd go in 'meh', he's made me laugh a few times but he's also annoyed me a few times. I haven't seen enough of him to fully judge though so maybe my opinion will change!
1. In terms of personality, Alfie's the kind of character I usually really like, and he really was an amazing dancer. I really wish they'd gone a different way with his storyline, because I feel like he could have been a favourite. 2. I agree so much about Amanda - one of the things that bugged me the most about seasons 3 and 4 is that she was essentially left by the wayside. She was said to be one of the best dancers in season 2, but then in season 3 she was suddenly apparently 'the weakest' and was literally packed off to another country after being told directly that she wouldn't be in a single dance at Internationals (which is one of the main reasons I still find it difficult to like Kate) - and in season 4, she was given a slightly bizarre relationship plot, her personality changed dramatically and she never got a real chance to redeem herself. Even the moment when she was actually accepted onto that tour happened off-camera. Amanda's one of my favourites and 'deserved better' sums her up perfectly. 3. Cassie just never really had a proper storyline, and it's a real shame because she was an interesting character :( 4. Hunter is also the definition of 'deserved better' - he had a great redemption arc and I just wish that had continued, especially in terms of him and Emily 5. Yeah, like I said, I find it difficult to like Kate. She's a nice enough person and she's made a good impact, but the blatant favouritism never sat well with me... although now I feel kind of bad... 6. If you ask me, Kingston had the best introduction into the show of any character, and he's had some of the best development too :) 7. My theory is that Lily is either being made to pass information back to her mum or is doing it unknowingly. I think in terms of what _she_ wants, she genuinely wants to be there, and so far I like her as a character :) 8. I kind of like Ozzy's sense of humour this season - I'm finding most of his scenes really funny - but they've gone a bit overboard with his obsessions with other people, and I wish they'd stuck to the storyline where he was trying to be Richelle's friend instead of pining after her again. I do really like him, so I hope it's going in the right direction :) 9. Piper's my favourite character in the whole show, all seasons included, so excuse me while I literally go and jump over the moon 😄😄 10. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Richelle. I'm hoping she has a solid redemption arc this season - and honestly I don't see why she wouldn't, so I'm keeping the faith :) 11. Like with Alfie, I really wish they'd gone a different way with Riley's storyline. They made her look like a bad person, and we all know she isn't. I didn't necessarily hate the fact that she wasn't portrayed as the greatest studio head, I just wish it had been executed differently. She's still one of my favourites though... 12. I actually kind of like where they're going with Summer - I hope it unfolds in a way that ultimately develops her character in a positive way... Although it's not looking so good for her and Henry, so I hope that's at least executed well :( ... Ok. I went a bit overboard here. I'd love to see both tier lists, and I'm guessing most people are going to pick seasons, so I'll help them out :)

Also a few more ideas: -ranking your favorite TNS songs -discussing the love triangle between Emily, Michelle, and Eldon. I was rewatching the seasons like I do, and one thing I gathered was that lowkey, TNS portrayed the early stages of an f boi with that whole storyline lol. Eldon pined after Emily for so long yet as soon as he got her the expectations didn’t match up in his head and he quickly moved on to someone else, disregarding Emily completely. Thalia is a legend-she didn’t cause drama she’s an amazing dancer she had a lot of lines and she’s a main she came back and made her own dance company so she’s doing amazing in the jobs
Nah man I love miss Kate she’s more a god on tns she took them to: Regionals Nationals And Internationals And on top of that the amount of obstacles she faced were numerous
my opinion on them even though nobody asked for it :) michelle: she was my fave in season 1 because she had such .a pure heart but in season 2 she became entitled like she deserved certain things and expected eldon and hunter to come running to her and it was annoying. i feel like in season 4 she was a good dancer and she was really driven but she was a bit too cutthroat if that makes sense? riley: she lowkey annoyed me in every season except for season 1. she was cute at first but in season 2 and 4 she was very dramatic and i could definitely see the spoilt little sister that emily occasionally talked about. i mean i get why people like her because she was a quirky and awkward teen but she genuinely annoyed me and i didnt like her. summer: i get so annoyed when people say that summers a bad dance or person because she is honestly one of the nicest girls to ever be on the team. she didnt come in and expect anything to be handed to her and she understood why richelle, jacquie and amy were upset about her being in front but she still treated them with respect. she was really caring and tried her best to keep poper on the team at the star of season 6 but shes still a bad character? i do think that she deserves dance captain and she does make mistakes but thats just because shes a really nice caring little gem and she doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings. richelle: i honestly agree with everything you just said. she came in and expected everything to go her way because she was an amazing dancer and over all of her time on the show, she never understood why it didnt work like that. shes been through a lot and to most people, it wouldve been humbling but her character doesnt develop at all. in fact, in season 7 shes gotten way cockier than she was before. she is driven and i do somewhat like her because she can be funny but overrall she irritated me. alfie: i never hated alfie as a person the same as i hated what happened to jiley. i mean i know that he knew that riley was in a relationship and took advantage of that but i still thought that he was caring and an overrall great character that 100% deserved better. also i never understood his whole prince storyline like i think its really stupid but emily: at first emily wasnt a very nice person but she eventually grew on me. i personally dont understand why she acted the way she did in season 1 but she definitely has the best character development out of all of the characters on the next step. in season 2 she was such a realist while the others were all living in a fantasy where the world revolved around them and i really liked that and in season 5 she started off kind of rude but she jsut wanted to continue the next steps legacy after losing regionals. she also had so many iconic lines. amanda: she deserved so much better and she had the second most character development. obviously she started off rude and conniving but she became 100% committed to the team and proved it but it still wasnt enough to prove that she was loyal to The Next Step. she was always kind of sitting in the wayside waiting for her chance and it never came around even though i wish it did. ok bye now
I think you should do dances and do seasons in a different format ❤️ I just feel like Lola wasn't around enough to be a legend, but I do feel she could of become one, cause when I think of The Next Step I don't think of Lola just because she's only been there for 1 season. It's just I think she should be in deserved better because she really did deserve alot better.
Your Riley explanation was amazing, I love your idea and I completely agree, the story line was a bit much especially bc James cheated on her once and she is the sort of person who would not do the same to someone she loved knowing the pain she went through when it happened to her, I think an anxiety storyline would have been so good! ❤️
Richelle is hands down my fave character, she is so amazing and she deserves so much better I’m always so angry when summer gets picked over her as she has worked so hard for so many years 😭
I totally agree with the Eldon thing. Sure, he was known as the BEST dancer to ever be on the next step in season 1 to internationals but as a character, he made some really stupid decisions. For example, in season 1, when he got himself into a situation where he was supposed to do a duet with both Emily AND Michelle and of course, when it came to the time it was due to do the duets he had neither established who he was working with OR actually do a duet, let alone finish one. Also, when he lost his lucky coin, instead of worrying about the fact HE WAS TRAPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A CROCODILE INFESTED MARSH WITH NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYBODY, NO WAY TO REACH HOME AND LITTERALLY NO HELP FOR PROBABLY MILES, he chose to worry that an old, dusty, replaceable country which is no longer dependable in any country was missing! I get that it was his LUCKY coin and all but was it really necessary for him to make his BEST FRIEND risk his life (I am fully aware they were only babies and totally incapable of killing him or even causing a minor injury) when all three of their own lives were at stake! And then there is the hole Emily, Michelle thing! Why, just why, would he be as stupid as to follow Emily line a lunatic everyday for years when he knows the clarified answer is no and there is no reason at all for her to change that. NOBODY, I REPEAT NOBODY is that upset! AND he still wasn't at all annoyed at her when she embarrassed him I front of the entire studio when he asked her out! Then, when after obsessing over her like a storker for months she accepts and starts acting nice, he decides right before a massive competition he should break the news that he actually never liked her and now likes her mortal enemy just because he thought she looked pretty or something like that! AND THEN, like he hasn't caused enough trouble, Hunter shows up and tries to steal his girlfriend, which I totally understand would be annoying for Eldon but NOOOOOOOOO, instead of actually talking to Michelle he decided to secretly challenge Hunter to a dance battle and risk never talking to her again just to hand her over to some idiot in baggy trousers which can mop the floor with his head (that's how I see Hunter, I'm sorry but I dont care what you think) Michelle is not a toy up for graps people! AND THEN THERE IS SEASON 4! That thing with thalia! Are you serious? I mean, Thalia wanted to pursue her dream, he should have supported that, not make her fell bad about it! I bet you that is why she came to see him in england! He should have sucked it up and been happy for her! He was such a wuss! And that chocolate thing? It's just stupid! Also, ELECTRIC ELDON? What a waste of a good dancer! At the first ever auditions, I thought that he could be dance captain and maybe even become studio head but they ruined it! I agree that they should of given Riley a deeper anxiety storyline, same with Noah and Amanda. The three of them were given hints of it over seasons, but it was never explored enough. You should do a new story on wattpad where you rewrite seasons and use the things you wish had happened.

kirsteeny idk I just think she’s really pretty and a really good dancer and I love her outfits. I also agree with her on so many things like for example - UNPOPULAR OPINION - but I think when Finn told Amy that she bailed on Piper and he’s been the only one there for her since, that was totally wrong. Amy did what she needed to do for herself, and Piper understood that. They were still friends! I think Finn was being quite rude when he said that. I can also relate to Amy when she wasn’t liking Finn for being really dumb and clumsy in Episode 4, so yeah. I just really like her! You can have your own opinion, of course.
Ranking seasons is so hard lmao; I tried doing it and it's hard to not get confused with quality and nostalgia. I put season 4 at the bottom and season 2 at the top but everything between them is so hard to rank
Yeah true like the older seasons are more nostalgic and the newer seasons are better quality such as better songs, dances, storylines etc... So I separate my rankings like this Originals Seasons (Best to Worse) - Season 1 - Season 2 (its super close to season 1) - Season 3 (kinda overrated imo) New Seasons (Best to Worse) - Season 6 - Season 5 - Season 7 (so far) - Season 4 (you can't really compare it)

Annie Its because most of season 3 episodes are filler. A lot of storylines don't contribute to A-Troupe or Internationals and just filling up space plus it also lacks suspenseful drama (for a drama show). I would write an essay aswell lol but i can't be bothered 😂

I don’t know why but Amanda has always been my favorite character from the start she’s kinda reminded me of the friend people used to look down on and blame for all their problems even though I loved Nomada it kinda just didn’t make any sense like Amanda looked 14 on season 1 and Noah looked 8-10 like... yeah even though I ship it it doesn’t make senses to me 2. Haven’t any of you noticed that gisslle never had an actual personality to me I feel like her getting chosen for dance captan was kind of random like honestly. So I never really had a reason to like or hate Gisselle 3. Skyler being dance captain was also quite random cause like she just got there and she wasn’t always very supportive of Riley and her desions 4. Is it just me or did Noah just stopped being funny in seasons 5-6 I mean I know he got older but like it wouldn’t hurt to put in a joke or two he was much funnier in his younger seasons 5. To me I felt like David was quite selfish at time cause she would expect Kenzie and Jaqie to give up her spot for them and when she wouldn’t she just left like ok we get it you don’t have to be so annoying about it I feel like Davis showed no relevance to the team. and shed always gets scared if she in her sisters shadow Jacque was there first so I mean. 6. Finn kinda has no personality cause she kinda like Ozzy but like worse (don’t give me wrong I like Finn) it’s just the only thing he’s known for is liking piper and wanting people to be his friend like I wish they gave him more serious moments and not just try to make him the “James character”

I didn’t like Riley in season 3 either so a combination of season 3 and 4 made me not like Riley as much as I did in seasons 1 and 2.

tied to you I known what u mean. It seems like it’s becoming more and more of a kids show rather than a teen show. I’m not exactly sure which one it’s aimed to be. For me it seems like it’s mainly the acting. I love the cast but I don’t know, it’s different from the acting in the first couple of seasons. One potential storyline that I do quite like is one between heath, Izzy and Ozzy. But I don’t know what to expect with the show anymore. 💙
Agree (so far anyway) season 6 seemed like the dancers had grown a lot and they did storylines like pipers anxiety and noah and Michelle thinking of their futures. If I'm being honest at the moment I'm not into season 7 that much and I'm getting a little bored already oops

She’s finally become this complete character who wasn’t just there to be the ‘bossy one’ to laugh at it and then they went back to her in like season four and undid all her development

Honestly? He'd go in 'meh', he's made me laugh a few times but he's also annoyed me a few times. I haven't seen enough of him to fully judge though so maybe my opinion will change!
1. In terms of personality, Alfie's the kind of character I usually really like, and he really was an amazing dancer. I really wish they'd gone a different way with his storyline, because I feel like he could have been a favourite.
2. I agree so much about Amanda - one of the things that bugged me the most about seasons 3 and 4 is that she was essentially left by the wayside. She was said to be one of the best dancers in season 2, but then in season 3 she was suddenly apparently 'the weakest' and was literally packed off to another country after being told directly that she wouldn't be in a single dance at Internationals (which is one of the main reasons I still find it difficult to like Kate) - and in season 4, she was given a slightly bizarre relationship plot, her personality changed dramatically and she never got a real chance to redeem herself. Even the moment when she was actually accepted onto that tour happened off-camera. Amanda's one of my favourites and 'deserved better' sums her up perfectly.
3. Cassie just never really had a proper storyline, and it's a real shame because she was an interesting character :(
4. Hunter is also the definition of 'deserved better' - he had a great redemption arc and I just wish that had continued, especially in terms of him and Emily
5. Yeah, like I said, I find it difficult to like Kate. She's a nice enough person and she's made a good impact, but the blatant favouritism never sat well with me... although now I feel kind of bad...
6. If you ask me, Kingston had the best introduction into the show of any character, and he's had some of the best development too :)
7. My theory is that Lily is either being made to pass information back to her mum or is doing it unknowingly. I think in terms of what _she_ wants, she genuinely wants to be there, and so far I like her as a character :)
8. I kind of like Ozzy's sense of humour this season - I'm finding most of his scenes really funny - but they've gone a bit overboard with his obsessions with other people, and I wish they'd stuck to the storyline where he was trying to be Richelle's friend instead of pining after her again. I do really like him, so I hope it's going in the right direction :)
9. Piper's my favourite character in the whole show, all seasons included, so excuse me while I literally go and jump over the moon 😄😄
10. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Richelle. I'm hoping she has a solid redemption arc this season - and honestly I don't see why she wouldn't, so I'm keeping the faith :)
11. Like with Alfie, I really wish they'd gone a different way with Riley's storyline. They made her look like a bad person, and we all know she isn't. I didn't necessarily hate the fact that she wasn't portrayed as the greatest studio head, I just wish it had been executed differently. She's still one of my favourites though...
12. I actually kind of like where they're going with Summer - I hope it unfolds in a way that ultimately develops her character in a positive way... Although it's not looking so good for her and Henry, so I hope that's at least executed well :(

I was rewatching the seasons like I do, and one thing I gathered was that lowkey, TNS portrayed the early stages of an f boi with that whole storyline lol. Eldon pined after Emily for so long yet as soon as he got her the expectations didn’t match up in his head and he quickly moved on to someone else, disregarding Emily completely. I would actually love to hear your in depth thoughts on that situation.

michelle: she was my fave in season 1 because she had such .a pure heart but in season 2 she became entitled like she deserved certain things and expected eldon and hunter to come running to her and it was annoying. i feel like in season 4 she was a good dancer and she was really driven but she was a bit too cutthroat if that makes sense?
riley: she lowkey annoyed me in every season except for season 1. she was cute at first but in season 2 and 4 she was very dramatic and i could definitely see the spoilt little sister that emily occasionally talked about. i mean i get why people like her because she was a quirky and awkward teen but she genuinely annoyed me and i didnt like her.
summer: i get so annoyed when people say that summers a bad dance or person because she is honestly one of the nicest girls to ever be on the team. she didnt come in and expect anything to be handed to her and she understood why richelle, jacquie and amy were upset about her being in front but she still treated them with respect. she was really caring and tried her best to keep poper on the team at the star of season 6 but shes still a bad character? i do think that she deserves dance captain and she does make mistakes but thats just because shes a really nice caring little gem and she doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings.
richelle: i honestly agree with everything you just said. she came in and expected everything to go her way because she was an amazing dancer and over all of her time on the show, she never understood why it didnt work like that. shes been through a lot and to most people, it wouldve been humbling but her character doesnt develop at all. in fact, in season 7 shes gotten way cockier than she was before. she is driven and i do somewhat like her because she can be funny but overrall she irritated me.
alfie: i never hated alfie as a person the same as i hated what happened to jiley. i mean i know that he knew that riley was in a relationship and took advantage of that but i still thought that he was caring and an overrall great character that 100% deserved better. also i never understood his whole prince storyline like i think its really stupid but
emily: at first emily wasnt a very nice person but she eventually grew on me. i personally dont understand why she acted the way she did in season 1 but she definitely has the best character development out of all of the characters on the next step. in season 2 she was such a realist while the others were all living in a fantasy where the world revolved around them and i really liked that and in season 5 she started off kind of rude but she jsut wanted to continue the next steps legacy after losing regionals. she also had so many iconic lines.
amanda: she deserved so much better and she had the second most character development. obviously she started off rude and conniving but she became 100% committed to the team and proved it but it still wasnt enough to prove that she was loyal to The Next Step. she was always kind of sitting in the wayside waiting for her chance and it never came around even though i wish it did.

I totally agree with the Eldon thing. Sure, he was known as the BEST dancer to ever be on the next step in season 1 to internationals but as a character, he made some really stupid decisions. For example, in season 1, when he got himself into a situation where he was supposed to do a duet with both Emily AND Michelle and of course, when it came to the time it was due to do the duets he had neither established who he was working with OR actually do a duet, let alone finish one. Also, when he lost his lucky coin, instead of worrying about the fact HE WAS TRAPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A CROCODILE INFESTED MARSH WITH NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYBODY, NO WAY TO REACH HOME AND LITTERALLY NO HELP FOR PROBABLY MILES, he chose to worry that an old, dusty, replaceable country which is no longer dependable in any country was missing! I get that it was his LUCKY coin and all but was it really necessary for him to make his BEST FRIEND risk his life (I am fully aware they were only babies and totally incapable of killing him or even causing a minor injury) when all three of their own lives were at stake! And then there is the hole Emily, Michelle thing! Why, just why, would he be as stupid as to follow Emily line a lunatic everyday for years when he knows the clarified answer is no and there is no reason at all for her to change that. NOBODY, I REPEAT NOBODY is that upset! AND he still wasn't at all annoyed at her when she embarrassed him I front of the entire studio when he asked her out! Then, when after obsessing over her like a storker for months she accepts and starts acting nice, he decides right before a massive competition he should break the news that he actually never liked her and now likes her mortal enemy just because he thought she looked pretty or something like that! AND THEN, like he hasn't caused enough trouble, Hunter shows up and tries to steal his girlfriend, which I totally understand would be annoying for Eldon but NOOOOOOOOO, instead of actually talking to Michelle he decided to secretly challenge Hunter to a dance battle and risk never talking to her again just to hand her over to some idiot in baggy trousers which can mop the floor with his head (that's how I see Hunter, I'm sorry but I dont care what you think) Michelle is not a toy up for graps people! AND THEN THERE IS SEASON 4! That thing with thalia! Are you serious? I mean, Thalia wanted to pursue her dream, he should have supported that, not make her fell bad about it! I bet you that is why she came to see him in england! He should have sucked it up and been happy for her! He was such a wuss! And that chocolate thing? It's just stupid!
Also, ELECTRIC ELDON? What a waste of a good dancer! At the first ever auditions, I thought that he could be dance captain and maybe even become studio head but they ruined it! I hope the rest of season 7 works out better for me than eldon did!

kirsteeny idk I just think she’s really pretty and a really good dancer and I love her outfits. I also agree with her on so many things like for example - UNPOPULAR OPINION - but I think when Finn told Amy that she bailed on Piper and he’s been the only one there for her since, that was totally wrong. Amy did what she needed to do for herself, and Piper understood that. They were still friends! I think Finn was being quite rude when he said that. I can also relate to Amy when she wasn’t liking Finn for being really dumb and clumsy in Episode 4, so yeah. I just really like her! You can have your own opinion, of course.

Annie Its because most of season 3 episodes are filler. A lot of storylines don't contribute to A-Troupe or Internationals and just filling up space plus it also lacks suspenseful drama (for a drama show). I would write an essay aswell lol but i can't be bothered 😂

1. I don’t know why but Amanda has always been my favorite character from the start she’s kinda reminded me of the friend people used to look down on and blame for all their problems even though I loved Nomada it kinda just didn’t make any sense like Amanda looked 14 on season 1 and Noah looked 8-10 like... yeah even though I ship it it doesn’t make senses to me
2. Haven’t any of you noticed that gisslle never had an actual personality to me I feel like her getting chosen for dance captan was kind of random like honestly. So I never really had a reason to like or hate Gisselle
3. Skyler being dance captain was also quite random cause like she just got there and she wasn’t always very supportive of Riley and her desions
4. Is it just me or did Noah just stopped being funny in seasons 5-6 I mean I know he got older but like it wouldn’t hurt to put in a joke or two he was much funnier in his younger seasons

Tbh giselle and eldon should be a legend and emily should have been in i like them bc eldon was just the glue that held a troupe together and giselle was just the queeb of acro up to this day and she was the first rlly skilled acro dancer on tns and idk giselle always had the fire in her and i generally she was a very bubbly person and always fun to be around person and daniel should have been in meh bc he was just sooo annoying and he always caused chaos no matter what
