Michigan seems to be a gold mine for vintage tunnel washes like this one. I bet there is a completely original Sherman tunnel out there somewhere. Great video as always!
I love those massive Sherman mitters those look awesome! I believe some of those soap arches at the very beginning after the presoak was Sherman as well. The AVW brushes are cool as well but I bet they replaced some older Sherman rockers and wraps.
I thought they replaced those Sherman wraps/rockers as well too. The design for those go back into the 60s and was patented by Carl Beer, ironically around the same timeframe Hanna patented a wraparound brush too but they didn't know of each others works so they cross licensed it!
These mitters always clean so well too. I honestly prefer these over a top brush for cleaning and then either a diagonal mitter or top brush for the final waxing sections.
@@MichiganCarWashes I do like also the Hanna mitter thats very rare thats kinda almost like a Sherman mitter which is different and it swings very similar instead front to back or side to side like a mix.
@@adamssirenadventures6574 Are you talking about the finishing touch mitter? It's the one that has two smaller skinny baskets that move at a weird angle.
@@MichiganCarWashes Ya that those are my favorite one, sense when i was very little it use to have a hanna rare mitter and Sherman mitter with a protovest Windshear dryer on it at the place that i go to before.
@@greatcitysportaction2289 This place was most likely built in the later end of the 80s juding by the sherman canopy design. They're black with a small red sherman text at some point in the very early 90s before they merged with Hanna in 1993. It most likely had the knuckling wraps with the hydraulic-pneumatic actuators on them before they were replaced with AVW.

@@MichiganCarWashes That really is interesting! I love Hanna and Sherman equipment there made to last a really long time.
It looks to be a 2 flat basket front to back mitter by Sherman
Love this massive sherman mitter that swings slow use to have that mitter in Bright Brigade Car Spa that i went to before

I like those superior dryers at the end
Awesome video. That’s a rare Hanna Sherman system.
The mitters are Sherman, while the wraps are AVW.
@@thecarwashelevatorfanatic7433 Oh ok I thought this was a complete Sherman tunnel so my bad.
