That's probably because more pixels doesn't necessarily mean better image quality, you also need big image sensors and lenses with good quality, but pro 360° videos are just starting to take off...
@@lorenzo501 Don't forget that the 4K is the video resolution around the *whole sphere*. So when you're looking at it in the 16:9 window in YT you are looking at at most a 720p chunk of it. I think this video actually looks fantastic with this in mind. And put it into VR, it looks much much better as it "appears" further from your eyes. Especially at the 1080 setting in this video it still looks amazing compared to a lot of videos I've seen (and made). I would be freakin' over the moon if my videos looked as good as this one.
@@nowandrew4442 So basically to see 4k with 360 videos, I would need a better graphics card for even higher resolution 360 videos. So that I can actually see chunks in 4k XD god damnit
@@lorenzo501 Check the resolution setting on your player, the little cog icon where you choose the resolution you're playing at. YT usually auto-chooses based on your computer & internet speed. If it looks terrrible, it might be choosing a very low setting. For me this video looks great even just at 1080s.
