Logic Pro Bite-Size for VI's - VoiceOver Hotspots

- In this video I will explain how I make use of VoiceOver Hotspots in Logic, to quickly navigate around the interface.
VoiceOver offers multiple ways of interacting with your application, from standard VoiceOver keys, to Item Chooser, to Hotspots.
For me, Hotspots are a key component of my efficiency and workflow, and I am much worse off without them.
This is an incredibly subjective video and even if you do decide to use Hotspots, you may not choose to set them on the same items I do, or using the same keys I've chosen at all. This is of course, absolutely fine.
The point of this video is just to serve as a tutorial/demonstration for blind Logic users that may find Hotspots to be helpful, and to perhaps enable further efficiency.

FYI, you can also set hotspots via the commands menu behint VO + h. I have this same issue when using the Finnish keyboard layout. Also, thank you for these videos! I'm slowly starting to get in to Logic so these will be a great help for me.
That’s great news, happy to see you over here on the dark side haha.
If you need any help or want some one-to-one training, I also offer that.
I hope you’ll find the playlist of videos in this category useful, I’ve covered such things as the Midi event list, how to insert a third-party instrument such as Komplete Kontrol or Surge-XT, fade in/out, and a few others.
Thanks.
This is really useful thanks. I've been going to the track headers the snail way and it kills me every time. Bit of a random and off topic question if it's okay. My mixer doesn't say mixer layout area anymore like yours does. It used to, but it changed and I have no idea why. Mine doesn't say track headers group either, but don't know if it ever did. It just bugs me that something has changed and is different to other people's and I don't know what caused it.
Hi there. Did you by any chance, change your VoiceOver verbosity level at any time? Try VO+V to see what it’s set to, mine is medium.
Things usually announce best when it’s set this way, from my findings.
Glad this can help you.
I’ve been using Hotspots for years, literally cannot function properly without them haha.
@@TheOnjLouis Mate I wish I had permanent access to your brain lol. I had set my verbosity to low. When I upgraded to sonoma recently voiceover was misbehaving so I reset it but didn't have my settings exported, so I had to try to redo everything from scratch. I must have thought my verb was always on low but it obviously wasn't. Cheers man. And thanks again for the vid. I never would have thought hotspots would jump right into things that are normally hidden behind things that need to be interacted with.
Thanks for the video. Is there any solution for inaccessible vsts like vps avenger? On the window side, I used the hotspot clicker, with jaws and I was able to click wherever I wanted on the screen. Any solution like this for the Mac?
You need VOCR.
Read about it and download from here: github.com/chigkim/VOCR/
@@TheOnjLouis Thanks for the answer. Can’t we write any shortcuts for the items we found with VOCR?
