Not many people back in the days knew about it. They just saw a cool looking gasmask dude and took it. For me tho engie, the character, was my favourite from the series Romantically apocalyptic I hope you're too a fan of the comic for it is a great one

3:10 This part gets me everytime. True STALKER essence. Also reminds me of a friend, who passed away around 10+ years ago in a car accident (along with her father), while traveling on the road for vacations. She was a big fan of STALKER games, just like me and a group of friends. Makes me sad that she won't play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 when it releases (she would've scream like any fan with the announcement)... But i know she's with us all the time. And I know she will be alongside me, somehow, when I get to play the game on April 28 (assuming it doesn't get delayed). Rest in peace Veronica. You've been a great stalker, and a good friend.

After a long and exhausting journey from the northern part of the zone, you came back the place where your journey started, where you live, where tell tales to the rookies about artifacts they just dream having in their arms, or the horrors what you've seen past the Barrier frightening them to the bones, often you brought back something to the rookies to get even more motivated, you came back and everyone of them say this to you "Welcome home, brother!", at this time you're truly home among your comrades. I personaly talk about here the Rookie village or the Clear Sky base
Rookie village... home looks so different now. From seeing it in the first stalker to clear sky. Hell even mods like CoC and Anomaly make it more alive. I feel it call out to me. Home. Man it will be an honor to play STALKER 2. You should try and mod your music for mods like TRX radio would be amazing to hear.

Here I am. Sitting on one of the windows in another old building in Pripyat. Maybe I shouldn't leave the Big Ground and stay at my hometown. Maybe I should chose more stable source of money. But I didn't. I made my choice to become one with her. To be part of her food chain. Sure there were lot's of troubles to just get into the Zone but after some time I felt more alive here than there. I listen to stories of other stalkers, drink with them, and live. Live the life I never thought was possible. Nothing is bright though. I lost few friends along the way, got hurt here and there nearly became lost to the Zone, maybe losing some parts of my humanity. But I found a way to survive. Zone became my home. Now that I think of it I'm gratefull that she became part of me. I became a part of her. I might be talking like someone mad, propably getting his brain scorched. But I don't think this is a bad thing. We all need to speak our minds no matter how crazy we might appear. I made my choice and even if I will leave Zone, she won't leave me.
