X was designed to choose his path in the world, X is not designed to be a war machine, he had the potential but is not that his propouse. On MM the power battles Dr. Light said that robots need to difference between to evil and good by their own in order to avoid more conflicts. (Due the fact that they can easily be fooled with any argument, for example the bosses from mm9 and higher AI is more difficult to reprogram.) For Dr. Light speech on mmx1 is fair said that x was built on peace era.
Mega Man Marchek X6 doesn't feature horrible hit detection, frustrating 3D sections, one of the worst aiming systems to be featured in a 3D game, a camera that messes up with you even in the fixed camera sections and overall BS parts that become hard because of poor programming (the stage in the cyber space comes to mind). X6, as hard as it can be, can be beaten using memorization. A lot of people always try bringing stuff like the Gate stage 1 and the Mother Nightmare, which can indeed be frustrating when you don't known what to do, but still doable and even fun when you finally get the grip of it. X7 feels frustrating all the time and never improves. At all. Heck, last time I tried playing X7 in MMXLC2, I just had to drop it because game was just so crap, trying to go through a stage wasn't fun and it has the worst playable Zero. X6? Played it again and beat it under 5 hours, enjoyed it even though I forgot a lot of things and Zero was super fun to use there.
@@TheTrueBro X7 is a very easy game. It's shitty but at the very least it is not completely broken. The same cannot be said for X6. It isn't bad because it is hard it is bad because it is poorly designed. For one thing you cannot beat the game without parts or weapons yet the game gives you the ability to access the Gate Stages without the Jumper Parts or the Ice Burst. You could be stuck forever without a guide. Even if you do have the Ice Burst but not the jumper parts it is still nearly impossible to pass that spike section in Gate Stage 1! I am only scratching the surface here! I have an endless list of shit that is wrong with X6 so if you want to hear let me tell you.
With all the things Light invetned in his life, that's actually a very good possibility, him being a sentiens A.I. that knows more about what's going on than you think. Although some capsules (for example, X7) contain recordings, rather than "himself". I guess he still has his limits.
I've always wondered what a Dr. Wily capsule theme would sound like, if he had made some for Zero. I usually envision some variation of the Yellow Devil theme.
@doom2sgt Actually, Megman was built to assist Dr. Light during his lab work and around the home along with Roll. He just got redesigned later to combat Wily's shenanigans.
That's what i'm banking on as well. As for how ~ i'm going with the theory that Dr. Light used all of his lab recordings (for behavior analysis reasons) and got the program to use those records of Dr. Light for the personality we see now.

Ty so much for sharing this video! I love X8's soundtrack!
X1: X... You are here. X2: This buster part will help you. X3: Every capsule is a joy. X4: For the sake of peace... X5: The new armors to end the chaos. X6: X, my best work ever... Recieve these final powers. X7: Light the way to a new tomorrow.
@stinger321 Ehh i think the way the capsules are explained, especially the very first leg armor upgrade in megaman x, makes it pretty apparent that the message from dr. light was pre-recorded. He was basically like "i thought you might need to fight, so i left a bunch of these capsules lying around."
capsule themes X1 = reflects the sadness and drama of why you reached there x2 = not so dramatic but also gives you a air to breath x3 = simple but not dramatic x4 = slow paced but reflects the sadness of the late dr light to find his capsule x5 = remake of the x1 theme but a bit more fast paced than the original x6 = sounds with a heavy influence of classic music, not bad x8 = sounds great but dont listen it while you drive because you will feel to sleep for how relaxing it is
Anyone else feel that doctor light was the crazed lunatic in the megaman saga? I mean sure wily took advantage of the situations presented to him... but light after seeing his creations reprogrammed with the supposed ease of an alarm clock run amok, kill people and threaten the fabric of human society And does the good doctor say to himself and the world at the end of megaman 1, I cannot in good concious continue in this field as I and the world is not ready for this level of technological sophistication? NO! He says lets do the exact same thing in precisely the same way, again and take no further procautions like banning human level intellect in machines thus limiting their warfare applications should they ever be turned on humans again. And he does this not once, not twice, but 20 freaking times! and then when facing his own death... does he reflect back on a war torn world and a life of creating monsters and say... it all ends with my death. NO! He builds another killing machine with the power of a god and shoves him in a tube and rely's on the latest version of norton anti virus to ensure it doesn't come out shooting first! Then to compound his lunacy he stores his dementia ridden mind into a series of matter energy replator pods and spends th next 100 years thinking up and creating ways for his "peaceful gift o humanity" to blow shit up with awe inspiring precision and intensity! At least when wily built zero he had the reasons of being criminally insane... light however just masked his obsessions with good deeds. As dorthy would say to glinda after revealing she always had the way to return home... "Your so much worse then the other wicked witch, at least i knew where i stood with her... but your two faced!"!
I wanted to see things the way you do, but after thinking about it I came to this conclusion: Light couldn't just ban Human-Level intellect himself now that the technology is out there. The fact is that once information like that it out there, it WILL be abused by somebody... and it turns out that the person who helped Light discover such technology (Wily) knows just as much as Light does regarding how to create such machines, and he (Wily) is an S-class nut-job. The safest actual solution, when it comes to weapons like this, is to have some yourself. Even in the real world, we have WMD's, and the info is out there. Destroying them all and banning them sounds like a good idea at first, but the info is out -- someone else will likely discover how to make them and do so in secret, leaving you with nothing to answer with. Even looking into the future with the X series, by the time it starts, robots with human intellect were all but extinct. X was the last known surviving robot like that... until sigma discovers Zero, who was obviously made by Wily around the same time as X. Without X, there would have been no Sigma to stop Zero from destroying the world unchallenged. If you ask me, Light was fully wise in his decision to leave X weapons in case Wily had a trump-card (Zero, or Sigma thanks to X) and the world was thrown into chaos, which is a reasonable precaution given past events in the series. The whole thing is a story of "this is why we can't have nice things" because some "Wily" out there will make weapons out of them and kill us all.
Here's the problem with your theory that light didn't hold all the cards in regards to robot intelligence. There are two pieces of very strong evidence that indeed only light knew the secret to human level robot intelligence, and both show up in megaman x. The first being the capsule warning.... Specifically the line " as I have no one to follow up my work I shall place x in a capsule to test his abilities". By the time x was being built a span of at least 40-50 years had elapsed from the day protoman came online. So one would think that if the secret to robotic human intellect had been available freely over that span of time that others would have studied and become just as proficient if not better then light himself in the art of creating such intellect designs. But no, light clearly states there is no one else... Which leads to the next more damning evidence. X is the only one of his kind when dr.cain discovers him. This means that sometime between the end of megaman 10 and the creation of megaman x an event occurred that halted all research and production of humanoid level robotics, as again if the knowledge of creating them were freely available, there would have been a litany of corporations, scientists, hobbyists and so on taking even the early protoman style designs and mass producing them long after lights death. But no... Amazingly the earth is devoid of megaman type robots. This all leads to one real possibility....That robot intelligence was simply to complicated for others to replicate thus meaning light truly did hold all the cards in robot intellect and it all died with him. And after megaman 10, the world governments fed up with wily and lights pissing wars most likely got ahold of the wily robot virus, re engineered it to destroy all robots and unleashed it upon the entire earth robot population to end both light and wilys threats on humanity once and for all. This theory actually explains why none of the original cannon robots like megaman, bass, roll or protoman survive to the x series.... And it's very possible that dr.lights lab was destroyed (as Cain discovers it's ruins are buried under ground in x1) by a full on assault by world forces fighting the last unified resistance of light and ex wily bots immune to the virus, barricading the lab. Which again explains why light must seal away x, why there is no one to follow his work, why there are few if any records of the wily /light wars outside the lab, as most of earths computers would probably also have been destroyed by the virus as it probably mutated and ran amuck on earth, until finally dying out. So in conclusion, anyway you slice it, light held all the cards, as wily only ever succeeded in poorly copying lights work. In reality based on the very few robots light actually built and the vast array of inventive and functional designs wily built, it's safe to assume that wily actually built megaman, roll, protoman, and the 6 light bots, and light was the mastermind behind their programming. This is further supported by the fact light only ever builds the animal bots for megaman and auto, which is horribly obsolete and primitive in construction, during the original cannon. Meaning light is a programmer by trade not a master engineer, and wily is a master engineer but not a master programmer. Which also brings up the possibility that wily and light may have actually joined forces again, (out of nessecity, if my theory of how the original cannon ended is right) near the very end of their lives to create x and zero jointly, as there is no way light could have ever built x on his own, nothing supports that a possible. Anywho I've rambled enough. Lol
Ah... no I was actually being serious. There are many kinds of evil. There is evil for the sake of being evil... like Dr. wily. There is evil for the purpose of power lust and greed, Dr. Wile. There is evil brought on by insanity and psychosis...Sigma. And then there is the worst kind of evil, committing atrocities with the best of intentions "REPEATEDLY" to serve an obsession for perfection...aka Dr. Light. Light may not intentionally be evil, but his actions have had far worse and longer lasting ramifications then any villain in the entire megaman universe. Seriously Light built protoman... And when he went wonky and dissapeared he built more of them... he then decided to take wily's credit for the work they both did driving him into a madness. And after the first robot war, his solution in the next one is to arm megaman to the teeth and turns him into a killing machine and spends decades making him more and more lethal. And when megaman has reached his zenith, does light say perhaps weve gone to far... no he creates X and shunts the responsability of choosing the fate of robotics to future generations... who coincidentally have long forgotten the wily/light wars and make all the same mistakes all over again. So yeah light is an obsessive, ego driven, boarderline maniac. As i said at least Wily, Wiel and Sigma were straight forward about their intentions... light was and is deceitful and two faced.
Um...there's never been said that there was a "war" before X. And no, Light isn't decietful. He's legitimately helping humanity. It's just others that are causing conflictions which causes bad shit to happen. The bad crap wouldn't have happened to begin with if Wily hadn't been a jealous asshat, and Mavericks wouldn't exist (other than what Zero leads to) if Cain hadn't botched up X's reproductions in the Reploids.
presumeably if you watched the prequel ova to megaman x series after x was finished being built he was sealed away seeing the last moments of dr light before a giant explosion sounded right as the window to the capsule shut presumeably killing him in the explosion i dont know my speculations but facinating having the personality and mind of him in a hologram
Well, he said he has to hide the armor capsule somewhere secret in every stages for maverick couldn't find. He sure hadn't expected X had to cost many lives to meet him.....
@WhiplashPuppet It is shown that Wily could probably be operating the Issoc Maverick in X6. Dr Lights speech with Zero in X5 and X6 both suggest that Wily is in some form still around, as he avoids the subject when confronted about it. I always wondered who built Copy Zero in MMZ if Dr Weil took Original Zero and made him into Omega. I don't remember it being brought up after that fact is brought to light.
X & X5 (even though it's a refined version if the 1st) are my favorite, but to each their own, great franchise to follow after the Regular Mega Man games, love the dystopian setting and aesthetic. Like how SF 3rd Strike in feel, both with great music.
I thought it was explained/said in X5 that Dr. Light designed an AI system for these capsules in order to adjust to the changing world conditions and circumstances.
@testing223 I agree. But Dr.Light caused most of the problems because when he made the Robot Masters, Wily then went off the deep end and reprogrammed them and made his own robot masters. And not only that but hes responisble for X when Cain found him he failed to reconize the danger that Light feared would happen with X. Though I like how Light wanted both man and robots to coexist. But sadly its nothing but a dream cept in the later games like Megaman Zero and that. But still Dr.Light rocks :)
At the moment MegaMan discovers this capsule the world is in a state of war and Dr. Light is a pasificist and is greatly saddened at the fact he would have to send him to war with the possibility he would be lost during the course of battle.
The Dr.Light think a computer that is updated when X nesecita an update to its combat system and therefore there will always be scattered caps when X extra. The Dr.Light require extra support was a genius and knew that his end would come and stores on your computer all his knowledge, Light X loved like a father to his son, so use his image in the caps across both the centuries ...
He is dead. Now, the question on just how much of an "AI" his hologram is, THAT is the mystery- it borders on actual human soul. (even appeared outside of a capsule to repair X in X5, even though the means to normally do so, (rei space) was gone by then.
1st 4th and 5th are the best to me. 1st just seems like something dramatic is happening. 4th just sounds like a cool intermission to me. 5th sounds like the main character is remembering something entirely upsetting/something is happening and hope is running out.
@KiteNamikaze It's a hologram. *blinks* The one I'm confused about is Wily, who Sigma makes several very clear references to having contact with in X5...

Maybe Dr. Light turn his memories in some class of cyber elf, thats why he always is there to help X and Zero
With all the things Light invetned in his life, that's actually a very good possibility, him being a sentiens A.I. that knows more about what's going on than you think. Although some capsules (for example, X7) contain recordings, rather than "himself". I guess he still has his limits.
That’s practically canon. Some of the capsules talk about stuff he couldn’t have known about otherwise.
its sounds like deadman wonderland suspense music
X5 is so strong and cool. It feels like the emotion of reveal something or the sensation of the death...
X8 represents hope.
I've always wondered what a Dr. Wily capsule theme would sound like, if he had made some for Zero. I usually envision some variation of the Yellow Devil theme.
@doom2sgt
Actually, Megman was built to assist Dr.
X4 all the way!
Oops he wrong he mean 2 xD
X1: X... You are here.
X2: This buster part will help you.
X3: Every capsule is a joy.
X4: For the sake of peace...
X5: The new armors to end the chaos.
X6: X, my best work ever... Recieve these final powers.
X7: Light the way to a new tomorrow.
I like the Dr Light Capsule Themes from X and X5 the best.
X8
Dr.Light: I hope this is the last time we have to use weapons of war like this, X...I really do....
X1, X5 and X6 are my favorites, specially X6.
This is a certified Awesome Video Game Music classic
The last one sounds like Sonic 3 credits theme.
So simple yet so epic.
X1, MHX, X2, X3, X3 (Beta), X3 (Arranged), X4, X5 (X1 Remix), X5 (Beta), X6 & X8.
Xtreme 1 & 2, X7 & MCC had none.
@stinger321 Ehh i think the way the capsules are explained, especially the very first leg armor upgrade in megaman x, makes it pretty apparent that the message from dr. light was pre-recorded.
He was basically like "i thought you might need to fight, so i left a bunch of these capsules lying around."
Or at the very least, he's some sort of AI designed to think and act like Dr. Light for X's benefit.
capsule themes
X1 = reflects the sadness and drama of why you reached there
x2 = not so dramatic but also gives you a air to breath
x3 = simple but not dramatic
x4 = slow paced but reflects the sadness of the late dr light to find his capsule
x5 = remake of the x1 theme but a bit more fast paced than the original
x6 = sounds with a heavy influence of classic music, not bad
x8 = sounds great but dont listen it while you drive because you will feel to sleep for how relaxing it is
Anyone else feel that doctor light was the crazed lunatic in the megaman saga?
Lol
Phoenixesper1 Even though you're clearly joking, you don't get worse than Dr. Weil.
Ah... no I was actually being serious.
X1, command mission, x8 oh who am i kidding I LOVE THEM ALL
I think that all the capsule themes will make good ringtones
The lata time i saw this
one and others was on 2019/2020. And in here... again.
I'm surprised you didn't add the maverick hunter x dr light capsule theme. That's honestly the best one imo.
Stanley's announcement
Great crysis, tragedy and hope all in one
I like the X6 theme it has a good feel to it and the theme is all piano which I like piano
The X4 theme is the saddest by far. It sounds like something that would play in one of X's flashbacks if he had watched Light die or something
He probably added a network of satellites that comprise the cyberworld, which is likely where he resides as well.
@KiteNamikaze i think it's because it's Dr. Light's Mind essentially "downloaded' into the computer. *shrug*
@FlameG102 It's bordering on human level, because it knows EVERYTHING around it. Ex. It knows of the repliforce rebellion in X4.
OK x3 was ear rape when it started up
why Dr. Light looks serious?
ShoVermilion because the game history
At the moment MegaMan discovers this capsule the world is in a state of war and Dr. Light is a pasificist and is greatly saddened at the fact he would have to send him to war with the possibility he would be lost during the course of battle.
Because the Reploid war
I
All are songs of hope for the future...
X can change the future....
Best: X6
X4
X1/X5
X2
X8
X3
I think the easiest way to explain Dr. Lights' omnipotence is that he uploaded his brain to the internet before his death.
WE MAST STAHP DR WAHWEE AT AWW COWST
Wen we fined dat meateor, wee fined doctah Wahwee!
(even appeared outside of a capsule to repair X in X5, even though the means to normally do so, (rei space) was gone by then.
this guy is so awesome he's my wallpaper
1st 4th and 5th are the best to me.
1st just seems like something dramatic is happening.
4th just sounds like a cool intermission to me.
5th sounds like the main character is remembering something entirely upsetting/something is happening and hope is running out.
Dr Light knows what's going on because he is so bad ass, his holograms are smarter then a collage graduate, that's how.
You are right, I think he is alive somehow. Just like Dr Willy.
X4's capsule theme also has piano, so does the X5 remix.
in my opnion the X8's capsule is the better in visual xD, is kind of future and technology together xP
Clever Dr. Light is clever.
Very stimulating music. The first is the best!
For anyone that played the Ace Attorney games, X4's version sounds like the music that plays in the beginning of each court session.
You're right it does!
You would've thought 3 6 mafia produced the first theme. That shit was hard😂
You know if there a megaman x9 the capsules should have classic megaman, roll, protoman, auto as there main character in the message
THIS IS THE ONE. EVERYBODY COME AND LOOK!
k. and the only other mysteries are things that can only be explained by these 4 words: its a video game
@KiteNamikaze It's a hologram. *blinks* The one I'm confused about is Wily, who Sigma makes several very clear references to having contact with in X5...
I was thinking of that too
Dr Light Themes be like:
X: Normal
X2: Duuuuudee Relax Get This Armor Part
X3: Ear Torture
X4: A Beautiful Theme
X5: A Good Remix
X6: Son, Take This Armor Part I didn't mean for that to happen, but you need to stop it. Good Luck X
X8: WOOOW THIS IS AMAZING MY HEAD IS SPINNING WHOA AAAAAAA THIS IS CRAZY
Dr Light is not just a program. he's the very first cyber elf.....more like cyber santa...
I always loved the original, but X4 and X6 stand out very well. X6's is kinda sad though, seems like a remnant to dr lights memory or something.
What about Megaman Maverick Hunter X?
I listen to this when I’m out jogging 🏃♀️ get you in the zone
I think all the dr light themes fit a member of the light family x1 dr light x2 auto x4 roll and x6 classic megaman
O forgot the x8 is for protoman
