I enjoy the videos Keith. So tomorrow I'm going over to my rental property to get my old 40 Dodge coupe out of a ~20 year retiement, tow it over to my house and put it back on the road. Have the Chrysler 251 cu in engine in it with overdrive out of a 53 Plymouth. Thanks for the effort you put in and all the good information. The old coupe was my High-school car. Now I'm turning 70 and it's about time ...don't you think? Lot's of old memories just hearing the sounds from your car cruising through the gears. Thanks, Rich
Loved the song. When I was in my teens whenever my mom and I set off on a road trip it was tradition to sing On the Road Again as we backed out of the driveway and drove off. Great memories!
Hey, thanks for the followup. Better late than never. Never let anyone convince u , your not needed. Few, maybe more than few really enjoy the car play. Its a motivator yo keep my 1921, Dodge touring horseless carriage, 37, 48 Dodge Coupes protected and ready.
I’ve been watching your channel quite a bit and you have taught me many things about my car. I have a 38 Chrysler business coupe too. I did just notice your dash is a lot different than mine. I inherited this car last year not knowing much about old cars since then I’ve replaced the brake cylinder, solved the starting issue with a relay and a rebuilt starter and nos starter button. I’ve done a few other things but you’ve helped me a lot. Thanks Keith!
I’m glad to hear you’ve been able to troubleshoot and repair your Chrysler yourself. That’s excellent. You fulfill my efforts in creating this YT channel.
@@keithsgarage5831 hi Keith. I have left a comment on your Chrysler acquisition from 5 years ago. I have a Chrysler AP3 (Australia Production/Plymouth ?) 1961. I would like to share with you some pictures. As I posted, am enjoying your Lehman approach to the presentation, so informative and I am learning a motza (Lots) from your videos. Hope to communicate soon ! David.
Have used Hemmings Designed classic car motor oil, i used it in my rebuild on my 37 Dodge 218.7 cu in. Thanks again on rear axle plug and seal issue👍91107
1. Good reminder about the grease fitting on the axle. Many have been swapped out by well-meaning mechanics with grease guns. 1. B. How about a water pump grease mention for these really old cars? 2. I don't know for sure if the 1938 originally had heat shields under the hood, but I know they're specified for 1941. And now that you've put them in, you can see why they get taken off and not put back on during repairs and maintenance. They require some fiddling and they make several maintenance issues an extra PITA. Plus, regardless of how well you round the corners, you still cut your knuckles on them.
Carb parts and guidance from an ol timer teaching grandson the skills to help, the Fuel Link, Olympia, WA U.S.A, i think his name is Jim, he replaces and restored my Ball&Ball Carter 1 barrel, for my 37 Dodge, 218.7 cu in. 6cyl.
Hey Keith now pull the pump back out and rebuild it on camera! I was waiting to see that done 😟. It will be easier the second time. That’s a real nice green!
Hi Keith, My name is Carlos I live in Tucson Arizona quite a distance from you but I’ve enjoyed all your videos. I have many questions because I have a 1938 Chrysler that has sat for over 50 years started working on it last year. Wonder if it’s possible, if somehow, we could video chat?
Loved the vid. I was wanting to know if there is any way for me to contact you about my 1938 dodge I'm stumped on something and wanted to ask you about it, thanks

Another great video. I just use my thumb for the rear axle grease.
