Just watched it this afternoon - glad I brought my tissues! We were blessed to see the family twice in the beginning of their adventure! Degarmo was one of my favorites back in the day. Carmen should have helped them out in the beginning.
The second half of this movie was better than the first. I am not familiar with this band or story. While it was ok, I wish it focused more on the mother than the Father. The Father was/is very unlikable and I was more interested in the moms' story and relationship with Rebecca than her Dad.

I agree. I didn’t find the father to be extremely likable either.
