1/32 is the lightest I tend to ever go and it looks like it’s handling that quite well. I like it. 👍 Nice job showing us a number of lure weights and how it handles them.
I wonder if the inductor cup set to I (lowest) would have made a difference with the fly jig and trout magnet. Thanks for cast testing the Gravity BFS.
I think it would have helped controlled the lowest weighted lures as it allows fine tuning, but level 1 brakes doesn't move much, which means it can take a while to dial it in and potentially need more tuning if the conditions changes. It was fun using this reel!
Jimmy Lee: the Gravity BFS baitcaster is on pre-order from ARK. I already pre-ordered. But is there a way you can get Louie from ARK to expedite orders sooner?
Hi Jimmy, really appreciate your insights on the Gravity. Im seriously considering it for my 1st BFS setup. What rods would you recommend for various weight ranges? Thanks!
Hey raWr Just wondering what hook your use in your video about the Tsurinoya DW62 pencil bait. I want to try to buy some. And nice videos keep up the good work.👍👍👍
I just recently got into BFS Fishing and I bought this reel and really like it. You mentioned a bearing upgrade and I was wanting to know if you would recommend a website and what size bearings and type. Thanks
Glad you like it. I don't know the bearing size right now, but if I do upgrade, I will find out! But I don't intend to upgrade for a while since holiday is here and I got a lot of backed up videos cuz I'm sick lol... But do know that these are small bearings already and unless u need to do sub 1 gram.. U shouldn't change to micro ceramic hybrid bearings. It's not needed ;)
Lol gotcha! Yeah it does the job so well that I don't really think it's needed. I would do it just cuz... Well... Ppl like seeing those videos lol. Fishing for views!
The path Shimano went with 28mm spool and the braking and the silent tune made bfs meh.. Even the 23 Conquest BFS is not as great. Ark Gravity bfs reel is the best 28mm spool reel out of the box for the price!
Hello! What you can say about this Tsurinoya Clever rod? I want to take one, but so little information about it in web...How about sensivity of this rod? Can it cast 2.0 gr crank good? Maybe you can compare it with some rods from Major craft, or Tailwalk? After all, what your impression about it? Thanks!
This is a new rod to me! Liking it so far, but I don't throw cranks, but I feel that this cast testing session should have given you plenty of insight on how the rod would cast. Been sick and haven't been able to really go out to fish this rod. But it will be my stream rod for trout. I have purchased a major craft trapara and will likely compare sometime in spring. Just trying get better before the holidays right now.
oh that is an easy one to answer.. Spinning rods can't work with baitcasting reels, so it's not better at all! :P okay okay, i know what you are asking... but to answer you, it is Subjective. spinning truthfully isn't better. If you put all the pros and cons on the table, casting setups wins all the time, but depending on your fishery and style, you may have to pick one over the other. I have chosen BFS and casting for pretty much 99% of my fishing. Do what works for you, or see what these bait finesse setups can do and try one!
Ceramic bearings a so a stupid myth xD never ever got any better Performance from them only more noise but nothing more and make no diffrent 3euro ali or 40euro bearings.. my stock bearings on all my reels are way better after cleaning than Ceramic bearings ..
I think when you hear ppl say their reels are performing better... that is because it surely is performing better, for their fishing, not yours. There is for sure a "misconception" (Don't think you meant to use the word myth) of what changing out bearings would do. I think if you don't understand the pros and cons before you make a change, you obviously would not be disappointed. Proper research before buying would save you money and also time. It also prevents spreading wrong messages such as proclaiming ceramic bearings is a myth.

I think 1/32 is easy since I can do the trout mag at 0.78g! Potentially improvements with ceramic hybrid micros in it
Glad to see the range of testing. Look forward to see you push the limits with upgrades.
I hope to find the micro that fits this :)
I bet you can't wait for spring to use that reel. Be blessed. My friend.
I am actually enjoying the late fall right now with it. Past few weeks with it been great

It was fun using this reel!
Thanks for your time. What brand is your favorite micro bearings? I have kastking kestrel and zephyr
Thx! Roro is what I primarily use.

Nice! Unfortunately I don't think I can do that... I was told it will be shipping on time, end of the month. Hope u get it soon! Great reel
this reel or the tsurinoya dark wolf??!??! for 2-5 grams. which you choosing?
This reel since it's dynamic and it comes with micro bearings. Drag clicker is louder too
Hello brother so ro u recommend this reel for trout fishing with small jigs n spinners ?
Yes. Best UL reel out of the box so far.. Likely king of UL BFS for 2024 in the US
Hi Jimmy, really appreciate your insights on the Gravity. Im seriously considering it for my 1st BFS setup. What rods would you recommend for various weight ranges? Thanks!
Thx, it works great on UL and L. Try the Tsu Dragon or clever, major craft benkei or Kuying Teton!
@@rawrfishing awesome! That's super helpful. I'm learning so much about BFS from you. Keep up the good work. Thanks again!
Ur welcome. I got a lot of vids so perhaps one setup would fit you well! But ark Gravity bfs is definitely a good start!

Ahhh, that lure is fun! I use the VMC InLine singles x1 size 6. U can find size 6 inline thinner at Bait Finesse Empire

That’s good to know I’ll just leave it alone because it doesn’t really good job as a yes, thank you for replying
Meant to say it does do a good job lol
Lol gotcha! Yeah it does the job so well that I don't really think it's needed. I would do it just cuz... Well... Ppl like seeing those videos lol.

Would love to see how this does with lighter braid!!!
If I can find the ceramic hybrid micros that fit this, I will certainly give it a go with thinner line. Gonna start looking soon
My lowest is 1/20 Ned with the micro Tiny Ticklerz, and TRD’s. I grabbed the ark today sending the aldebaran back.
The Aldebaran 22 isn't that great. I sold mine asap
@@rawrfishing You aren’t lying. I love my SLX. The Aldebaran is overpriced I would’ve been returning it anyway. I was disappointed.

Nah, sorry it does not

Oh then this is for u! Great for open hook lures like spoons, jigs and more!
Does this cast further than the flight feather???
I dunno, I haven't used the flight Feather long enough. This reel is so much better that I can't put it down lol
Did you ever find bearing upgrades for this?
I don't think Theres a need to, so I haven't looked lol...
@@rawrfishing maybe I'll need to flush mine then. My reel feels slow.
Definitely start there!
lets see it with 2lb test.. and maybe a different rod with less eyes
Oh no... Not less eyes! Lol. I may try 2 lb but I use all Japanese lines. The 4 lb u see here is thinner than American 4lb
1/64 oz is more like .5 gram not .8
Total weight.. Not just the Jig
Why use this when ultra light spinning rods are better
