Watching my Papa with Alzheimer's lose his mind is tough but when he asks where grandma is it hurts so bad to tell him she passed away over and over again and see the pain and despair in his face.
💔Yes, my youngest brother lost his beautiful mind during most of the last 10 years of his life to this dreaded disease known as, “the long goodbye” and we were all deeply saddened, when the inevitable happened on New Year’s Day, at 1:30 in the morning, but relieved knowing our dear brother wouldn’t be suffering in a comatose state in the fetal position anymore as the compassionate hand of God lifted him up to Heaven ending the tragic ordeal of one so dear as our brother Roy, and… ...one second he was breathing, and the next, he wasn’t...💔 ...to say our youngest brother was a sweet spirited, gifted musician, who was blessed with the sweetest of hearts, the best sense of humor, humility, and was a loyal brother, son, and friend is an understatement, especially having to witness the strange behavior’s he displayed at times that were drastically out of character to his nature, and personality, but that’s what that damn Alzheimers disease does?! It robbed him of himself, and robbed us, (his surviving two older brothers, and 2 sisters, and myself) of the person he was... ...it’s mind boggling what that disease does to someone’s mind, spirit, and body... ...but I thank God for the silver lining to the cloud of losing our brother who was always a man of strong faith in God, and knowing he belonged to our 💖Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ during his lifetime was indeed comforting knowing death didn’t have the upper hand bcuz he is sleeping peacefully in Heaven ‘til Judgement Day when Roy will wake up to receive God’s Gift of Eternal Life! I can relate to all of you guys. I know we were both too young when we met. I was 20 he was months younger than me. We were about to start a family, i was conceiving our gift of love, our one yr together was the best days of my life. Then at my 5th month of conceiving, depression hit him and took everything away.

I fell like there arw unsaid and unresolved things between us that weigh heavy on my soul. This song has left me teary-eyed with its strong message. Racism is still a huge inhuman practice which we people of color have to go through on daily basis. What a skewed world we live in where color of one's skin makes you hate others.
Fortunately, it's a lot better now than it was then. We have laws that protect people from being discriminated against in the workplace, in schools, and in businesses. We even had a half-black president, and we have tons of non-whites in positions of power, so it's not as though we have any systemic laws that suppress their success. We have a fantastic "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" society that gives everyone the chance to raise their own status through hard work. A lot of our favorite celebrities and actors aren't even white! Are there places with racism? Yes. Are there still some racists out there? Yes. Even non-whites can be racist. But in the end, there are far more opportunities now for non-whites the there were decades ago, and that's fantastic. If you had the choice to live then VS now, the choice is very clear!

Thank you so much. This song hits me so hard, to be honest. I'm just 24 now, and have been through the craziest traumatizing event left by my ex for over 2 years. Thankfully, my soulmate, living abroad, found me and led me through the dark. She is always there listening to me whenever I'm in need and fragile despite the geographical barriers and different time zones. "You can talk to me, I'm always here"- she says. I can relate to all of you guys. I know we were both too young when we met. I was 20 he was months younger than me. We were about to start a family, i was conceiving our gift of love, our one yr together was the best days of my life. Then at my 5th month of conceiving, depression hit him and took everything away.

Imagining what they may have done to her before and possibly after her murder to torture and humiliate her is even more haunting. I fell like there arw unsaid and unresolved things between us that weigh heavy on my soul. This song has left me teary-eyed with its strong message. Racism is still a huge inhuman practice which we people of color have to go through on daily basis. What a skewed world we live in where color of one's skin makes you hate others.

Fortunately, it's a lot better now than it was then. We have laws that protect people from being discriminated against in the workplace, in schools, and in businesses. We even had a half-black president, and we have tons of non-whites in positions of power, so it's not as though we have any systemic laws that suppress their success. We have a fantastic "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" society that gives everyone the chance to raise their own status through hard work. A lot of our favorite celebrities and actors aren't even white! Are there places with racism? Yes. Are there still some racists out there? Yes. Even non-whites can be racist. But in the end, there are far more opportunities now for non-whites the there were decades ago, and that's fantastic. If you had the choice to live then VS now, the choice is very clear!

Thank you so much. This song hits me so hard, to be honest. I'm just 24 now, and have been through the craziest traumatizing event left by my ex for over 2 years. Thankfully, my soulmate, living abroad, found me and led me through the dark.
