A song that's my personal favorite and doesn't get enough recognition imo is "There's No Secrets This Year". I recall being introduced to them through the video game Rock Band 2 and having my nine-year-old mind blown when I came across that song on Itunes! Swoon was such a seminal album for SSPU.
I like this version without the breaks in it when the girls scramble for the chairs.
Hands down, best part is when he says "when reactions turn into hurricanes" and then the rest of that verse. Quality.

Silversun Pickups are so amazing. So different, they could possibly that band I've searching for all my life.
I think his voice is so hot. Mainstream music has had voices like his before; Rush, Coheed and Cambria, now it's Silversun Pickups. Keep the legacy going!

I can't believe I've listened to this song so many times without looking at the lyrics. The lyrics are incredible.

To me... it shows so clearly how stupid it is to blame someone in order to view ourselves as innocent and lift our own self-confidence. People do it all the time in such an ugly and brutal manner (the throwing stones and aiming for the throat analogy in the song) and don't realize it.

This is probably the best song I've heard in all of 2009 and one of my all-time favorite songs.
that's part of why I dig this band so much; they can get away with glancing blows and convoluted lyrical concepts while still just plain ROCKING harder than most anything out there right now. they give you plenty to think about while simultaneously makin u wanna throw on a leather jacket and smash a guitar.

the thing about music is, a song means something different to just about every person. It doesn't have to have a meaning, as long as it is good quality music, it means whatever you want it to.
There still is a lot of good music out there, it's just a little harder to find these days. Just look at SSPU, I just happened to discover them because I went to a Wolfmother concert, now they are my favorite band.

Feels like I'm in the mid 90s listening to the Smashing Pumpkins when I hear this song. Little weird, I know, but that's what strikes me when I listen to it.
