I, for one, am absolutely glad that MiniPCs are becoming a mainstay for people who don't really need much, but prefer a desktop over a laptop. Especially considering how much better iGPUs have become over recent years. Honestly, I think I may just opt for a MiniPC, myself, once iGPUs can hit around PS5-level performance. All I really need anymore is emulation, and the ability to play older games, since my Steam library hasn't really grown in the last few years. And I can always get a mini with eGPU support, should I ever feel compelled to have a dedicated card later on. As much as I love computers, I'm kinda just done with the tedious and expensive upgrade cycles. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'd rather just have something that's plug-and-play at this point.
💡Suggestion: It would be fun if you did a video on your favorite games of all time ! Also, you have reviewed a lot of mini PCs over the past few months… how about a ranking or tier list? Enjoying your ongoing content. Thank you.
I hear ya. I just went through the process of deciding which mini pc to get. It was agonizing because there were just too many choices. I finally settled on the Minisforum UM890 but quite a few others would have worked.
You would need a pci-e dock, but it would work. Otherwise, I just use USB 3 for my capture device (I'm only doing 1080p and it doesn't need that much bandwidth... even usb 2 is fine)
I've recently started having my eye on these kind of mini PC devices and specifically these two Ryzen CPUs, so this is a perfectly timed video for me! I appreciate the video
Same. With limited space, no desk, and destructive toddlers I've been thinking of hooking one of these up or a mini ATX build to a Nexdock XL vs going with a gaming laptop.
I got my mini pc minisforum last year at Christmas, did the bare-bones for $410, bought 64g of DDR5 SODimm and a 2tb gen4 total cost of $600. The minisforum one is better for the Ryzen 9 as it uses the 780m graphics chip. I've been nothing but happy with it. Power consumption is damn near nothing. Only thing mine is missing compared to this is that front Occulink, but then again I have 2 USB4 on front. Whenever they come out with a major upgrade to another onboard mini graphics chip I'll switch. Venus UM790 Pro
If you want to show difference, do it side by side rather than back and fourth. The latter is very taxing way to present anything if the details matter. A table would be even better.
A nice video would be games you used to play and loved, now hate, and they run better now, but still hate them, compared to the ones you loved that are same or worse now
Great test, bought a 7 over a year ago and still in the box. Going to set a new station up soon and still looks to be a solid unit...appreciate you!

Nice comparison! Tnx Logan!

The cut at 11:40 to prevent Nintendo demonetizing the video lmao
I left a second in for the laughs... No more nintendo games from here on.

Can you use occulink for a capture card? This seems like a good option for a streaming capture pc if it works well...

This new one from GMKtec is also good.
$10 difference between the M7 and M7 Pro barebones right now. Is the Pro worth $10 more?

I would opt in for those with 120mm fan and mesh on top. may even change the fan to a quiet one.
Prices are good on certain sites due to moon festival, sale is a sale so its all good,Grab EM!
This is one vote for a new line of salves in the store
😊😊😊😊
Did you ever release that game?
they should recycle their older stuff with the older CPUs (like the mobile ryzen 5000 series) by adding an oculink port
Cheap? Lol. On Swedish amazon Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H variant is 1200$.....pffft
Should be illegal to set that kind of price diff.....Amazon!
It's 369 UKP on Amazon UK after you add the £100 off voucher.
You'll need to ship it in sadly. Godspeed brother
@@bemwells4337 Then there's the import taxes :/
import taxes lmao
@MrMandelll the price on GMTek site isn't bad, and it offers delivery from within EU, so you needn't to bother with import duties.
i really wish they would split the 3.5 jacks very annoying
Test with 4090 egpu
