If there's movement by local populations to another locality within the country we just use the word migrate (verb)/ migration (noun).
However,the term *migrant* (noun) is often used to describe those who have entered a foreign country to settle down illegally. Migrant workers are illegal immigrants who do not have union rights whatever.
However,if you leave your country to settle down in Canada then you emigrate/emigration (noun) to Canada. You will be known as an emigrant (noun) of your country and an immigrant (noun) in Canada.

這座水底城，目前還有三百多人住在裡面，他們是水底人，不是美人魚，他們是真真正正的水底人，以前是路上人類，因地球變，在一夜之間幾十萬人，就在水，有百分之九十九的人，都死亡，只有五千人存活，至今還剩三千多人，真正的水底人到至今，以有上千萬了
