Dropped into my local dealer on Saturday. No riding gear with me so I simply rode the V2 around their car park. Already smitten. Looking forward to riding one back to back with the new V4 Streetfighter when available, before deciding which will be my next bike. At the moment the V2 is the one in my head...
Peter - thats quite the decision you have to make their and either way it won't be a bad one! there are rumors of a V2 Streetfighter on it's way just to throw that in the mix, the V4 Streetfighter will be amazing im sure and one day i will probably go down that route but for now im sticking with sportsbikes and the V2 seems to be a great all round road bike. Let me know on what you decide to go for.
Hey Tolly, thanks for the review. What did you like about the V2 over the 959? I rode the 959 and found it tad uncomfortable and really hot on the right hand side. Cheers.
Hi C M, Thank you...sorry it was a brief review of the bike as i didn't have the bike for that long! More to come on the V2 soon so stay tuned lol. Like you i found the 959 a little uncomfortable to start with, just a little weight on the wrists but after a few rides i got used to it and find it a very comfortable bike to ride now. Yes they do get a little warm around the bum and inner thigh area, but you do get used to it after a while and i hardly ever notice the heat now! the joys of owning a Panigale!!haha. The things i like about the V2 over the 959 ....the V2 felt slightly more comfortable straight away helped by the thicker padded/soft seat which is a little longer as well, the exhaust is a massive improvement over those hideous shotgun type exhaust on the 959! the single sided swingarm, Up/Down Q/S with blipper & the V4 style Dash are some of the upgrades the 959 was crying out for! even the V4 type styling is growing on me now lol. All those upgrades have made a huge improvement on what was already a cracking bike, the 959!. take a V2 out for a demo and let me know what you think...,.Cheers.
@@tolly55 Would love too but they haven't hit Australia yet. It's my favourite sport bike on the market. I'm 47 soon so a little unsure whether to buy something like a Monster 1200, Multistrada 950s for more comfort but just love the look of the V2. It's gorgeous.
@@chachim3014 shame you don't have any V2's yet and it might be a while with everything that's going on at the moment. I'm the same age as you and I'm also starting to think about a more comfortable bike and the 1200 Monster would be the one I would go for at the moment, the 1200s in Black looks gorgeous!! but I will keep going with the sports bikes for a couple more years and see how my body is holding up then!lol👍
Hi Andy, it does seem smoother at low speed, definitely not as jerky as the 959😀. It was hard to tell about the heat today with it being so cold, but what heat came off the bike was welcomed!🤣 so I think it's the same as the 959 regarding heat which never really bothered me tbh. The V2 is very comfortable, Ducati have made the seat 5mm thicker and slightly longer, not a huge change but way more comfortable than the 959👍. I think Ducati have made the perfect road bike here I really do!!!👍👍
@@Andy-2022 So what did you think overall? will you be getting your wallet out?lol. You do get use to the heat eventually, yes it does sound very nice indeed!.
Unfortunately the heat is a deal breaker for me, I can imagine it being unbearable on the warm days. I commute on my bikes in the summer and I think it would eventually get on my nerves. It’s a shame as it’s superb bike apart from that.
@@Andy-2022 I understand, it does get a little toastie and can be a little uncomfortable on really hot days but thats the Panigale for you! What are you thinking of getting instead?
That sound gives me goosebumps. She is a beaut!
She does sound awesome, I had the biggest smile on my face from start to finish of the demo!!

Gorgeous bike!!
Amazing!!

Thanks buddy 👊😁

@@tolly55 Yep bad times in Europe and it's getting worse here by the day. Stay safe mate.
How is it at low speed? does it cook you like the 959? How do you rate the comfort for a sports bike?

Had a test ride yesterday and can confirm it’s smooth but does get very hot under the bum. It sounds brilliant though

How was the heat between the thighs? Is it bad?
It's still the same as the 959 unfortunately 😬, nice on a cold day and uncomfortable on a hot day! But I don't mind, I think I'm just used to it now👍
Beauty! 👌 Sorry dude, next time wait fuell pump before start engine 😊
🤣🤣🤣don't worry I will! That's the first time I've done that and i was really annoyed with myself about that😡 just wasn't concentrating. Cheers.
hahah i see, that's because of the excitement 😁 DUCATI is the best!! CHEERS friend 💪😊
Gud for sportstouring ?
I reckon it will be, If i buy one i will be looking at doing a Europe trip on it in the summer so i hope so! it did feel really comfortable.
Stock exhaust sounds fantastic! I will take one in white. Great review! Anti-Brexit sub'd from LA.
Haha, thank you👍 she does sound pretty sweet and in white...now your talking 👊😃😃.
Trex I’m pretty sure they only come out in red
Your right the V2 is only available in red currently🏍, but we were just saying that a white V2 would look pretty sick👊😃.
❤️
Brits love ducati or anything italian
We sure do😂👍
shame how beautifully dirty it is.
😂😂she does look good dirty as well👍
