The US Supreme Court told state officials in 2020 that it's the state's not the federal courts responsibility to fix election operation irregularities. Told them don't come crying for us to do your job.

Back in 2020 they paid a guy with the same last name as the democrat running. I think the name was Rodrigues. It's currently in the courts right now. Supposedly the guy was offered 25,000 to run and another 25,000 after the election. Just to confuse voters. And the republican won by about 300 votes. And it's only in the courts today, 4 years later.

What your state legislature is saying, is that you do not have a say in how you are governed....just pay your taxes (meaning their salaries and benefits), and they will decide which of your freedoms will be eliminated next.

We are one country, but 50 states. And since the federal government is forbidden from interfering in how a state conducts its election, since the Constitution specifically gave states that power and specifically did not give the federal government that power, it can only be changed through a Constitutional amendment.

I thought that Federal law prohibits States from changing election rules after votes have been cast, i.e. early voters.

Technically, this isn't a change to an election rule, as it would not change anyone's vote or prevent anyone from voting. It is a change to how the numbers are tallied after all votes have been cast. And since a hand count would be required in a close race anyway, it isn't illegal or unusual.

Nothing will change on how the votes are tallied up. It is merely adding an extra step for accuracy and fraud. Especially since Georgia had multiple court cases because of voter fraud.

This rule is absolutely fantastic and should be supported by Democrats, Republicans and independence because we are going back to the future. We are going back to what has worked since voting first began, the counting of ballots by hand. The corrupt and entrenched political class is absolutely opposed to this measure because it will go along way to prevent vote fraud. This is a fantastic by Georgia officials and it will prevent Republicans from cheating during the next election. All Democrats should support this hand count ballot initiative.

As a GA resident, we are used to voter suppression and that’s a fact. I lived in South Fulton in 2008, the lines were extremely long and they had less voting machines because they knew it was predominantly democrat and people of color. It took me 4 hours to vote.
In 2012, I moved to North Fulton, predominantly Republican and it took me 10 minutes to vote. The same happened in 2016 and 2020 for my friends in democratic areas, but again, 10 minutes for me.
Now, they want to change the rules less than 2 months before Election Day! We gotta show up and show out and leave no doubt 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
