Shaddad ibn Aws narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said; "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say the following dua. If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; And if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.” اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُك وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta O Allah! The Prophet ﷺ said If one of you finishes from the last Tashahud, Then he should seek refuge with Allah from four things: he says: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ، مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْر، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسيحِ الدَّجَّالِ Allaahumma ‘innee a’oothu bika, min ‘adhaabil-qabr, wa min ‘adhaabi Jahannam, wa min fitnatil-Mahyaa wal Mamaat, wa min sharri Fitnatil-Maseehid-Dajjal O Allah, I take refuge in You, From the punishment of the grave, And from the torment of the Fire, And from the trials and tribulations of life and death, And from the evil affliction of Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal (Sahih Al Bukhari )
Virtues of fasting on Mondays and Thursdays Abu Qatadah al-Ansari narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Mondays. He ﷺ said: “On that day I was born, and on it the Revelation came to me.” (Narrated by Muslim, 1162) ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays. (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 745; al-Nasai, 2361; Ibn Majah, 1739; classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1044) Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747; classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1041)
So what is the solution for this? At this point in my life I feel EVERYTHING is pointless on top of that the more I dive into studying Islam the more confused I become…… God wants us to be grateful for everything yet we aren’t suppose to enjoy it or want to hold on to the very things we are to be grateful for????? What exactly does He want from us??????? He designed this world and make us imperfectly yet we are expected to perfect in prayer, patience, endurance, etc etc… lastly how is everything written already yet we are STILL somehow blameworthy?!!!???!? This feels like we as humans were DOOMED FROM THE START!!!!! Id love to get some answers to these specific questions thanks
God created the world only to be a test for us and we strive to be as perfect as possible for rewards in the next world, so be grateful and don’t lose hope nor be sad.. God has ordained everything but gives us the choice to do right or wrong and God already knows what we will do, just let us do it. the point of life for (us) humans with small and limited brains is to obey the creator's commands. and we can’t know or imagine yet what is not in this world like.. tbh, Quran itself is the answer of all, if we have read..
