    Winter in the North American wilderness cannot be conquered. At best, it is endured. And only by those who will fight tooth and nail for the privilege of survival. Winter after bone-chilling winter, the Mountain Men have relied on ingenuity, tenacity and determination to weather the worst that the elements could bring to bear. But this season, that cold-forged mettle will be tested like never before.

    I learned so much from Tom, I owe him. A fantastic show that teaches so much good. The show should keep producing as it makes everyone happy.

    Stretched beaver pelts we’re going for $15 last winter. It’s been that way for years.

    • @arthursoto4285
      @arthursoto4285 5 лет назад +3

      That seems very cheap. Is there a limit to how many can be caught?

    • @tonylatham5915
      @tonylatham5915 5 лет назад +10

      Arthur Soto No limit. If you trap full time you can get a dozen or so a week running a long line. That’s driving all day. It takes a couple of hours to skin, stretch , and flesh a beaver. You can’t make a living beaver trapping. This is reality TV at its finest.

      Tony is right but being a popular TV show Tom probably could get that just because its him

    • @boydrid
      @boydrid 4 года назад +3

      About the only way he could get that is if it's the highest price paid for one pelt at auction. Not sure why the top pelt goes for so much. It doesn't look like a blanket either.

      @@stevenmcnally420 NOT from a fur buyer, he wouldn't! My good friend Jake Korell trapped until he died at 99 years old! He got over 30 Coyotes, plenty of Fox and quite a few Beaver! He died just a few day before his birthday and had been trapping the day before! He was also a fur buyer and Beaver have NEVER, in over a CENTURY, brought the kind of money these jokers are talking about! Tom
      s a good trapper but THIS is not reality!

    Edit: finally is available on Google play, guess someone was listening. 2 days after my original post.

      Because Tom and his wife make Hat's and other Craft Items from the Beaver which makes it worth a lot more than if he just sold the Pelt as it came off the Animal

      Watch all the shows and you’ll see, he makes them into finished furs. Tanning makes any pelt a finished fur product, not a stretched pelt.
