Great footage mate👍no doubts about whether this video is real. Hats off to you for making the effort to get footage on both cameras. He hung around a fair while too
Pretty common. We usually have a sighting every now and again so there are probably more in here than you think. They make their way up through the entrance at Sussex Inlet. As long as the fish stocks in The Basin are ok it will have plenty of food.
This is the first shark I have ever seen and I have been fishing St Georges Basin for over 15 years but some locals have told they get around. You are correct though. Thanks for watching.👍
Yep, i agree. As fas as i’m aware, they need water more like JB/Ocean with decent currents to continue surviving. We’ve been here permanently for 45 years and grew up swimming in the Basin. This is the first video i’ve seen that 100% looks legit to me. Good on this guy for getting footage! Until this, i was definitely a skeptic…
over the yers I have seen lots of sharks in the basin, I did catch a 4 foot bull shark in the basin back in the 80's, I did the right thing, killed it, cooked it, ate it.
I’ve been swimming, fishing, skiing for 40 years in the basin and never seen a single shark, any ever, same as you. Interesting that it’s turned up, especially a great white. Bull shark maybe, but great white - I think his/her radar got screwed up somehow.
Wouldn't say that's common at all and if it was I'm sure there'd be more talk of it. Been fishing and swimming the basin for decades and never seen one. Only ever heard of a couple of sightings of sharks. Seen one seal inside but never this. Guess there's nothing stopping them but 😬 Good footage mate.
I wasn't long ago diving looking for necklace in my shorts right there water was black was just feeling the bottle for it no vision it's always probably had sharks would be good feed for them knowing that there the biggest in there like old storeys of bull sharks attacking in cockrow Creek from 25 years ago
And people ocean swim.😮 I always think to myself that certain large Sharks are protected species now. There's going to be more and more. People saying this is rare. Yeah. 😂
How cuz its keith kev took a few pics of a white pointer few yrs back in the mouth of the river ask him he should have the pics somewhere@jeanie4life273
I'm a qualified professor with a PHD in marine biology. I can say with 200% certainty that was not a giraffe.
My kids swam in the inlet last Monday. We've fished that spot for years never seen one. Great footage. Will be more vigilant in the inlet from now on
Wow, that’s amazing, what a magnificent creature

Thank you sharing this. It’s really scary actually it’s where we go all the time and definitely no prawning while this doing the circuit 😳😖
No problem👍there's a first time for everything🦈🦐

they cant survive long as it is a lake (not enough current) so its probably not as common as you think 👍

That’s definitely a goldfish
Its a juvenile. . .
The basin is full of jelly fish at the moment. None in your video
There's a jelly at 1:23
What are you implying? That this is a fake video?? For what advantage would someone have in fabricating a shark being in the basin?
