Rapid City also has ELLSWORTH AFB for us MILITARY RETIREES who tend to like to live near military installations for the use of our benefits. Great job selling the area Christian. Well done and once again, keep up these great videos. I find the content well presented, organized and informative! Congrats on becoming a new Dad!
Don't make a negative about not having a lot of shopping centers. I believe too many areas have seen their retail environments OVERBUILT and as a result, there are a lot of strip malls and even larger centers with high vacancy rates. Retail apocalypse with Amazon playing the role of PACMAN and destroying both small mom & pops as well as larger, well known historical brands (see SEARS, MACY's, J C PENNEY).
I think comparing the 14 teeners of Colorados front range to the Black hills is a bit of a stretch but it is a beautiful place none the less. Can't wait to visit later this year, will be rving in Spearfish area. Governor Noem is the boss!
Congratulations on your newborn baby! We are in CO and not only is it crazy expensive here, we really don't like the direction this State is heading. SD is a real contender! I have listened to your Governor speak and just love her! Thank you for these great videos! Can you tell me, do people make you feel bad if you can't wear a mask while out? Here, they are nuts and don't seem to keep in mind that there are medical conditions that prohibit some from mask wearing.
I live here in Rapid City. I have to wear a mask at my place of employment, but other than that I don't wear one out. I don't feel I get any odd looks. People wear them in the big box stores that require them, but outside of the mandatory stores, some people wear them and some don't.
@@angjohnson354 Depends on the school. Older kids have to wear masks, the younger grades have plexiglass dividers up, but no mask required. Public schools here in the Pennington county district alternate with two days in school and everyone has Fridays off. If you want to know more info on the private school rules, I can get that for you. I know several people who have their kids in private schools.
I think if people are looking to move to Rapid City or some of the South Dakota cities and towns, that they really don't care for those huge shopping areas with a lot of stores. They just want a couple places to shop to get what they need. The selling point for South Dakota is it's peace, right-of-center politics, and natural beauty. Just my opinion.
We used to live in woodland park, co. Amazing town, even more amazing people. What towns are similar to WP? Love small mountain towns but with good internet due to remote work
Hi: Have been watching your videos in the past few days. Great content and helpful! Two Questions: How is the internet service in town and once you go outside of town toward The Hills? Guessing you would need satellite internet outside of Rapid City. Second, Is your area outside of the traditional Tornado Alley as they call it? Thanks for any info!
Awesome! In town it's high speed, depending on where you are in the hills its either satellite or high speed also. Yes we are outside of the tornado alley!
Im thinking of moving from Nampa Idaho can you please share with me depending on home prices I can move there? Home prices are rocketing here in Idaho. Boise is biggest city but in nampa is 100k plus
Hi Christian - perhaps avoid talking about all the grand things about SD so it stays the gem that it is. You know, we don't want the destroyers - we know who they are - moving to SD. Sorry - I'm getting too protective of the outstanding red states. :-)
Kristi Noem: My kind of Governor! Well done SD voters!
She is awesome! Hope she runs for a second term.
Agreed!
@@doglover2269 She will!
I love your governor!❤ She is da bomb💣

That's why I'm giving it a look.
