  • On Tuesday, April 18th, the McDonogh Eagles looked to bounce back from their first loss of the season to the Loyola Dons, who beat them by a goal. This knocked the Eagles off their perch as the #1 ranked team in the country. They entered the game with a 9-1 record.
St. Mary's came into the game at 9-2 with their only two losses coming at the hands of Loyola as well as a huge upset from Victor, out of the Rochester, NY area.
As the score indicates, it was a battle of two staunch defenses and outstanding goalies. McDonogh's goalie, Aidan Seibel, played lights out in securing the win.
With a 6 PM start on a beautiful night, watching a game between two heavyweights at St. Mary's Pascal Field was a real treat. Hopefully, we'll see these teams lock horns again in the playoffs.
    Notes:
Once again, I shot pics in the first half and video in the second.
Please check out www.proudlacrosse.com to see more vids and photos.
Most of the video was shot with a Sony FX3 and Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens. The stills and some smaller video clips were shot with a Sony A7iv with both the above lens and also the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS lens.
    Thanks for watching and reading!

Yes - but I think he was still injured in this game. He ended up lighting it up once he got healthy. If you watch some of the later McDonogh games I shot, you’ll see him doing his thing.
