Greetings from Italy buckin!! I finally got my hands on the t-shirt you gifted me and I am a proud buckin army member!! Loving the content lately as of ever and love to all the community here ❤️
Thanks for talkin about this stuff, I’m an arborist tree guy who focus’ on tree care not removals and I see so much destructive tree work, especially from DIY homeowners who have no idea that they have absolutely no idea
1:02 I am doing good buckin.. Thanks for asking. You inspire me everyday! Working on getting my life on the right track and being positive!!! Started a small firewood business on the side of doing yards and the odd job. Thanks for everything you do! Also started making wood and firewood content on this channel! like I said you have been a BIG inspiration to me! Thanks again!!!!
Mom and I put money on a gift card at the local coffee shop for the kids going to school in the morning. I plan on still doing even when school lets out. I’ve even used it for people that are just having a bad day. Sandy that works there has been told to use it when she feels like someone needs a pick me up. I’ve been raised to help my fellow man because one day you might need a hand.
Yep been there and messed up & felt terrible afterwards. As long as I learn for next time. Also just because we love cutting wood, doesn’t mean we aren’t greenies at heart. We just don’t cut down trees for fun. I love forests, which reminds me that I have the tallest tree in our state not far from us. I will have to go an have a look. Take care
Hi great to hear about your experience I’m trying to teach a young lad how to prune and thin out a tree his getting to learn how to cut the right way thanks to you billy David uk 75yr old
Cant wait for those Alder snag videos Buckin', in northern Alberta here and I've got a couple doozies I need to take care of. Great big, rotten leaners, doing their best to fall on buildings. Could use a few tips for sure!
1:27 Feeling good here from Pennsylvania. I’ve been helping mom with her baking for the bake shop and I’ve been also helping mom and I’s Amish friends and family with a new house that is being built
Doing well at 70 here in Kansas. Cutting and splitting firewood for our winter heating requirements. I do use a hydraulic splitter though as this "osage orange" (hedge), is too much for me to split with an axe. I have learned so much from your channel and send thanks for all you share with folks like me. I wish the folks that trim trees for the power company would follow your recommendations. As I drive down our roads I see so many trees that will eventually wind up splitting in two pieces and potentially wind up blocking a road or hitting a vehicle!
The problem when owners who send out lower skilled workers out to do work is, they don't care, if you ask them they become hostile. Most likely the owner don't care much about trees.
So that horrible pruning is all over the world. Im in the uk and its prevalent. I see it as criminal damage. It needs following up and prosecuting etc. bless ya buckin for highlighting this. I think its the difference between an real tree worker and a chancer. Ive spent a large amount of my climbing career trying to work with the remaining mess on these trees and trying to communicate to customers its bad practice. Like banging my head against a wall.
Doing good. Heard a tree fall in the forest and noted the top covered the road. Went to clear the road and a guy passing through helped me to drag limbs as i cut them. He didn't even live anywhere near and stayed until the job was done. Gratitude ❤❤❤ Otherwise, splitting with my axe and getting a workout. Thanks for all the info here.
What I find amazing is when you've got a tree that needs selective pruning throughout the canopy to allow for increased sun and wind penetration and you request estimates from so called professional arborists who act like they know exactly what you're talking about when you meet with them to discuss the scope of work. But then you end up with a tree that gets butchered like the one in this video. How can someone who presents themselves as being a professional arborist or owner of a licensed tree service company do this kind of work and think that they will ever get a call back for more work or a reference?
Every person ive known to loose there life with timber has always been related to alder. . Simply stated, Do not underestimate the danger of alder trees.
This is what happens... Yeah , in my back yard , someone did a job like that that. Not my yard but my neighbors, by people that were piled up at Home depot waiting for a job. hired cheep and didn't have trees in the country they came from and... what a mess!
How are you doing Billy from IRELAND Very true some people are absolutely dangerous when pruning trees and some fall out of trees and some nearly kill themselves
I worked for west tree service in Oklahoma for a week and a half, they payed good money but the wanted us to butcher tree for transmission line clearance, I couldn’t stay because I was not comfortable being responsible for the torture of thousands of trees all across the states
Im doing great here in ole Indiana Buckin!!! Thanks for askin!! Hey, i was wondering how that tree was going to look with some foilage on er, and yep she looks perty bad...im no professional at pruning by no means, i usually make a call haha❤❤cool video, much love from my family to yours💪💪🙏🪓🪵🌲
Its unfortunate, people don't care or don't know yet, their are more consequences to our actions than the most educated can fathom. Its also a war between the people that want to shape nature to their needs (heavy or bad prunning trying to make it look like work has been done), and people that want nature to shape us and guide our choices through careful observations( the best prunning is where you can't tell its been prunned, like the beautiful japanese maple you pruned at that resturant Buckin!) Everybody slow down now, if you are hesitant, stop and observe . ❤
Now the tree that you showed in this video we don't talk them like that we do bring them down to laterals the whole way around and try to make them as healthy as possible but I still don't like it I believe in Crown reducing
Hey Buckin and army, i havent been around as much because ive been really busy between work and moving but i hope everyone is doing great. I wanted to ask if Buckin is active on facebook?
I don't believe in topping trees at all I don't want to ever top a tree the company that I work for the owner puts bids in for topping trees he says that's what the customer wants he explains to them what is going to happen and they still don't care so he says if we don't get the job then somebody else will so he's the owner he's my boss he tells me what to do so sometimes I do have to top trees I don't like it whatsoever so what do you say to that what is your opinion if your boss the owner of the company is telling you to do it thank you God bless
Feeling great in Virginia at age 67. Still cutting firewood and getting easier because of your advice. Standing up is better! Thanks for asking.

I wouldn't get too attached to the ash trees it's just a matter of time before the emerald ash borer gets em
That tree will likely be dead in a few years from the bug without treatment
