No she just really doesn't know how to play lol. She doesn't understand how the game mechanics work. And she basically had Connor telling her what to do the whole time. She has literally zero knowledge on what Pokemon types counter what, how to deal with stat changes, etc. Connor has the basic knowledge but Mouse doesn't.
Carrying someone in a nuzlocke challenge is way harder than carrying in a normal co-op game. You’re basically playing the game for your teammate, especially if they have no idea how the mechanics work.
I'm still wondering why people who don't concentrate on the game do nuzlocks at all. Wouldn't it be more enjoyable, and thus more entertaining to watch, if you didn't restrict yourself beyond your reach?
I don't know if I'll ever do a nuzlock, I'm just not that dedicated to being particularly good at the game like those who play consistently

if you are not already, at the very least a casual pokemon player, nuzzlocks are crazy hard. Then it being a soul link?
Its easy to feel like it would be impossible to finish solo. Especially with as much "support" connor provided in an attempt to make sure they progress.
Pokemon is such an undertaking without being a nuzzlock or soul link.
Wanting to not go it alone is totally understandable. Especially under the pressure of a subathon!
And on the other side, ConnorDawgMan. I get it.
That pressure is there too. Because he has to be the one who knows. He needs to be right for several hour long streams, for multiple days. And a wrong choice could set progression back a whole stream! if not more! Having another person there that is much more familiar with the mechanics and tactics/strategies of this niche challenge is such a huge weight lifted off the shoulders. Being an IGL for a shooter is one thing. but being an IGL for a turn based RPG game that wasent even intended to be played that way? Draining has to be an understatement.
Also the whole point is for them to both be playing, not one person basically riding passenger as the other plays 2 games at once. If she just wants to hang out with him, they could do anything else.

A part of why the comments the way they are is cause of the gymnastics both of them went thru to defend their point😅. Connor’s point was valid because mouse barely knows the mechanics of Pokemon and trying to do a Nuzlocke not knowing the base mechanics of Pokemon at some point becomes even more of a challenge. But mousey is right in that she just simply wants to have fun.
This is like when the friend you carry wants to play but you want them to solo first and get better at the game

He’s not gatekeeping, he just doesn’t want to backseat drive her through the entire game again. Nuzlocke is extremely hard to do solo, and it’s even more hard with a casual player for a teammate. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with being a casual, but Mouse shouldn’t expect Connor to do all the work in a nuzlocke co-op.

I understand both sides honestly. I lean more towards Conor's side logically, but emotionally he's a stronger man than I. I would have caved and just said alright eventually.
Mousey could make it a better experience for Connor by learning how to play but instead she wants to do it the way that is a worse experience for Connor because she doesn't care to put in the effort. Honestly not cool of her to be so dismissive of how he actually feels and turn it into "You don't wanna play with me". The whole reason he was pushing so hard for her to do a solo run is precisely because he wants to play with her. Both their desires are valid, but the communication and understanding was a real issue here.
Tbf, Connor didn't directly say that it was pretty draining the last time and it would be better for the both of them if she got more experience with nuzlockes (because they are really hard, especially with soul link). And Mouse probably enjoyed the last one and wanted to do it again but was told to play one by herself to "know she's serious" even though she played one before. (this doesn't matter, they are very close friends and this was almost 100 percent resolved after stream anyway if one of them actually thought if was an issue.)

Some of ya'll I'm these comments need to chill. Ya'll being cringe as all hell. Know that no matter what happens at the end of the day they're friends and adults and just because they disagree on something doesn't make one or the other worse, chill the hell out.
So because "at the end of the day" things will be fine means no one is ever allowed to voice their opinion on an exchange between two people? I see no one declaring that either one is now a bad person because of this conversation. People are, as is their right, giving their opinions and calling out what they believe is bad behavior. What else are the comments even supposed to discuss? There wasn't really anything funny in this. Most of the video is just two people having a legitimate argument with a less than stellar conclusion. So that's what people are talking about.
@realNoMee no I'm not saying people can't give an opinion, what I'm saying is that people are blowing out of proportion as if it was gonna affect THEIR lives personally. They were defending them as if they had something to lose which was annoying to see considering that they probably got over it the next day, they're adults after all.

Wtf is a nuslock
a nuzlocke is a ruleset to play a pokemon game ex. Limited Encounters you may only catch the first wild Pokémon encountered in each area, and no others. If the first wild Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
If the first encounter in an area is a Double Battle or Horde Encounter, the player may choose which of the encountered Pokémon to catch, but only one of them.
Dying: Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead and must be released. Revival methods such as Revive, Revival Blessing, etc. are forbidden. If you run out of living Pokémon, you've failed the challenge and must restart the whole game.
Mouse is pretty insufferable here. Its like shes trying so hard not to understand him. I get that she wants to play with him, but Connor was basically playing for her last time. Its not unreasonable for him not to want the same thing to happen again.
I can't tell if she's being willfully dense or it's real. He was, as nicely as possible, telling her that it was a genuinely draining experience the way it happened last time and the solution is for her to learn how to play first. But she completely dismissed his feeling and turned it into "You're lying and won't admit you don't want to play with me". Honestly a very uncool exchange.

I’ve seen it worn both ways, I think because she’s wearing a sweater (even if it’s off the shoulder) the layering makes more sense for it to go: sweater, bikini top then fishnet
Instead of: sweater, then fishnet, then bikini top
If you think about the job of each piece of clothing, the fishnet and sweater’s jobs kind of overlap, so having the bikini top in-between balances it out imo, but it can be worn in anyway with the right layering

It can be hard to say no to a friend straight up, especially for natural people pleasers. But yea, the worst thing is for them to say yes and than resent having to do it.
except it's no that simple. he already said the answer is "yes" but the conditions are to ensure that the experience from last time isn't repeated. I'd happily co-op with a friend, but if I had to carry them the whole time then that's a different ask altogether. It's still a yes, but maybe get some games in first so I don't feel like I'm having to do all the work
You've never played a game with an absolute anchor dragging you down? It loses a lot of fun. Like a nuzlock takes HOURS, that's a lot to invest if your partner has no clue how to play
