We vote for a clear glass with shade on it in the door. Also, I have an idea for the bedroom headboard wall…. Since it looks like a slat-board wall, why not make it a true slat-board wall and provide “shelves” that the customer can put where they want for CPAPs and phones? It seems there is rarely shelf space where you need it and every customer is different - a slat-board would be customizable for everyone.

In this unit I don't miss a window in the door, there is plenty of visability. Go with a larger fan in the bath! Dump the double door into the bath in the 325 and add storage. in the 325 give me a queen and add the bedside stand for my cpap and a power plug.

    Josh: 101 - 96 = 5 inches 😂
Mark: door window, yes, clear with shade. Also yes to bigger bathroom fan.
    Pros:
Light decor, shallow but wide pantry, big 12V fridge, fixed bed base with smaller bed slide, panel to back of water bay, plywood floor and roof.
    Cons:
Toe stubber slide in kitchen, microwave should be convection, bathroom faucet should be bigger meaning extend more over sink, poor positioning of solar panel ACs will shade it. Slide topper prep?
    Overall a strong contender! Thanks!

Josh, you missed something ... it appears the bed platform/slide may also eliminate the possibility of knocking your noggin while plundering through your pass thru storage curbside or hooking up water and dumping tanks. The slide appears to be close to 2 feet taller than your typical bed slide. If that is the case, that would be huge for me. I did not want a bed slide for the stress cracked siding and head knocking slide. After more than 20 years or rving, I still walk into the awning support bars.
Overall great job East to West. To answer preference questions, you have to have a window in the door. My preference is clear with a shade. As for the bathroom fan, you will never go wrong with the Max Fan. The extra door in the 325RL could be eliminated save a few pounds and dollars. The other thing you may want to consider is cleaning up the wiring and providing more protection for the inverter. That storage area appears to be more of an afterthought and put together haphazardly especially when compared to how nice the pass through storage is finished.
    Nice video.

After a year in the Ahara 365RL I have to agree that a larger bathroom fan would be good. A window in the entry door would be great. I plan to add one myself next year. Mark steered us to the Ahara last year at the Tampa show. We have been thrilled with it. They build a great product.

Hi Josh, rain sensor fan of course. Small fans are almost useless, as is a frosted window in door. Frosted doors let in light and heat but you still can’t see who’s knocking. With the dining slide you can just look out window to see who’s at door and leave it with no window for privacy and security.

Josh - the solicitation of consumer feedback from this manufacturer starts at the top. My wife and I were at the Tampa show this year looking at their Alta line. We had the opportunity to speak for a few minutes with their founder, Lisa Rees. She honestly asked if there was anything we would recommend changing on the 2810KIK. That model had a hinged bedroom door and we suggested a slide style. Not a deal breaker for us, but we were pleasantly surprised when we picked up our unit it had the sliding bedroom door! In addition to soliciting feedback, they stand behind their product. We had a slide actuator arm lock in the out position (on a Sunday afternoon at a campground of course) and we called a mobile to come out and replace. Notified East to West customer service (thank you Grace) and had a reimbursement check within a week. Great brand and I would love to see you review the 2810KIK.

Absolutely love these! East to West had made a huge impression on me and they are definitely on my radar once the time is right. I would vote for the clear glass in the door with a shade as well as the larger fan in the bathroom. One other thing I would like to see changed is to have the top of the televator sit flush with the rest of the countertop to give you more unobstructed prep space. The bathroom is amazing and the color scheme is perfect. Also, thanks for the side by side look of these too. I thought that was a good idea since they are so similar. Great video as always!

Wow, very excellent unit! I agree with a majority of the comments I've seen so far, clear glass front door window with the pull up shade, large bathroom fan. Now for a suggestion, a southwest/ climate change option where the Inverter powers at least one AC, and an outlet or two (based on the obvious power limitations), with an oversized Inverter option. We are now looking at higher summer temps year after year. Highly populated states like AZ, CA, CO, LA, OK, NM, NV, TX and more are facing power outages and record setting temperatures. An AC run from solar system (might need a second solar panel) and Inverter could make RVing in those conditions possible. I camped at Lake Mead, Memorial Day weekend this year. Spent the days at the dam, in the water, anywhere but in the trailer! Night temps were in the 80s and 90s!!! We ran our portable generators until quiet hours and were still sweltering!!!! In May!!!

Josh I really appreciate your detailed videos. I always look for your videos when reviewing floor plans. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to these videos. These RV’s are beautiful but so many rear living floor plans have a dining table. I really would like to see a desk instead. I vote for the opaque door window. I have that in my toy hauler and I don’t feel as if I need a shade and still allows light inside. And please install cabinet doors on the bathroom storage! The double vanity bathroom is perfect. Another small suggestion, hide all the controls behind a cabinet door. It’s a small thing but looks cleaner if you don’t have to see that all of the time.

Thank you Mark & Josh! Very, nice and well thought out coach! I like! I really, really like the 325RL! Yes, please put clear window and shade in the door also larger vent fan in the Bathroom. TY Josh for remembering the front compartment. It means alot to me that coach can be prepped for a Generator along with Solar! Also wish you would show & tell LP tanks / size! If I might add one more suggestion! A window that opens outside of bathroom. Would think that could recreate a nice airflow / circulation through hall, bathroom and out the exhaust fan. Just a thought! Cheers, Gail aka The Guitar Chic!

First of all, thanks Josh for introducing East West. I knew they are a subsidiary of Forest River but I had never really considered their offerings before. As to feedback: clear glass in the door with a shade that pulls up, and yes to a larger rain-sensor fan in the bath. As long as I’m requesting, I respectfully suggest an Ahara version of the Tandara 321RL-OK. As a homebrewer, I want to convert the outside fridge into a kegerator. Also, more factory solar expansion options like Keystone is offering in Montana would benefit the brand I think. Thanks for your great work Josh and Mark!

I like the idea of a clear window with a shade on the door. I am glad that you have the rollers on the bed because of the added outside wall stability. I also like the ability to have a stackable washer and drier. It is nice that the slats are already in the washer drier door. It is also good that you provide so many outlets (both standard and USB. I would rather have a slightly wider powered recliner set, in order for the USB outlets and a few cup holders in the middle. I do not think that it would feminist the diner space much.

That 325rl is perfect for my family. Given a choice between frosted vs. clear viewing window in the door, clear would be good with that shade, from the bottom up. If it were possible, I'd put the 365's bathroom in the 325. The 325's size is perfect to fit at all national parks. XL fart fan? Absolutely! Any way they could talk to Ember and get their maxx solar package? ;) I'd be on my way to pick one up asap if they did all that...Mark, thanks for throwing out the willingness to improve on rvs that, in my opinion, are awesome! Looking forward to purchasing!

Josh, I appreciate the comparisons between Ahara and Tandara. I love what they're doing with the MPPT controller, 2000 W inverter and bedroom slide. I would also vote for clear glass window with pull up shade in the door along with larger fan in the bathroom. I am curious as to what kind of noise level there is in the main living area with 2 non-ducted AC units though.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 года назад +2

I do not have personal experience with those air units running so please understand I don't feel well qualified to field this
But Alliance uses basically the same air system in the Paradigm series (rather.. Ahara basically copied alliance here) and I get mixed responses. Either
"It's so loud you can't hear anything" or "it's so quiet you barely know it's running"
Drastically different answers. I suspect the truth is a combination of the two. My estimation is on HIGH the units are pretty noisy.. but effective. But once cooled if you drop the air down to quiet mode, then they're pretty nice.
Again, just a guess. I can't personally verify

Rickey you know I had a similar feeling. I had seen EtW RVs before this year. I will 100% admit I judged their book by its cover. I felt it was just another knockoff brand
Then, I started reviewing them with Bish's RV and _every. single. time_ I went thru one I started seeing/learning more about what "defines" them. They slowly and consistently have earned my respect
Even these Ahara models - at a glance I was like "oh so it's just a Tandara with a stackable washer dryer prep? Big deal.."
But then I learned about the wide body, triple air, the fixed bed base, the carpetless slides, 6pt hydraulic leveling and slides.. etc
I realized there are some VERY good features and upgrades here that really deserve their own time and attention

Hi Uncle Josh and Mark Krol from E to W RV: Mark, If you are going to change the door, please use the clear window with the shade. Also, without a doubt, the bathroom needs the full sized fan. Jayco makes the larger fan pretty much standard on its Eagle, Northpoint and Pinnacle lines. To me, Jayco is one of the leaders in the industry. Ask Josh, he calls it, "Jayco doing Jayco things." Additionally, to me it's very important that EtoW eliminates the pushbutton control panel. If you want to market a rig that's an industry leader, you must, at least, option in a BM Pro, Firefly or InCommand multiplex panel. The buttons look cheap and chintzy. Lastly, please offer a solar option with a 3,000 watt inverter, 600 or more AHs of LifePo4 batteries and a larger charge controller. This will allow EtoW to invert all outlets and appliances in the rig, not just some, and allow the A/C to run on battery power for a few hours at night without a generator.

Love the camper. A clear door window, with a shade. Always a big fan in the bathroom. I would much rather another linen closet in the bathroom, instead of 2 sinks. Been married 38 years and even in the house, we have used the bathroom at the same time maybe 5 times. An extra linen closet would be a great place to store a couple extra pillows, sheets and blankets for when we travel with Grandkids or an extra couple. Would also be great for the extra travelers bag/clothing. I hate backpacks sitting in the way.

I've learned the blinds come pre-installed from the door-supplier and they only build them with the shades going top-down
But.. hopefully in the future that changes

You Asked! Clear window with shade in door - Yes. XL fan in bathroom - Yes. I LOVE the bedroom slide system - excelled idea. My big wish list item is to have options for three levels of solar, say the 230W, 460W, and 690W (with larger inverters at each level). Then in the battery area, options for lithium batteries with the high end topping out at 600-800Wh. When I am ready to trade my current RV, East-West will be on my shopping list. A well executed rig, indeed.

Door window should be the clear with shade. Should be standard in most RVs anymore

Clear window in door. Love the TV counter space. Like the ac set up if they are quiet. Shower is perfect but lose the dual sinks. Its a camper not a luxury home. Wall mounted heat vent are a win. Travel mode is good. Like the seating and the legless dining table. Overall very nice set up and i like the colors. Dual pane windows would be perfect.

Josh your the best love your videos you point out things I would never think of before it happened oh well,on this floor plan I would get rid of the theater seats and that dinette and replace with a booth dinette that sleeps 2 and a tri fold sofa bed that sleeps 2 I am camping not watching tv no theater seats and I know you will have to switch them to make it work but I have a big family.

My vote goes to clear window in the door with a shade. So many times, the sun is so bright coming thru my frosted window and there’s no shade to block it

Love these!! I would say a definite yes to the larger fan in the bathroom. I think a frosted glass window in the door would be fine for light, you can peek out the slide window to see who is at the door, lol. One other suggestion would be to prep the slides for slide toppers.

We have a 2022 Tandara 320RL and love it! The larger fan in the bathroom and clear window with shade would be our vote, although we don’t miss not having a window in the door.

Going thru a lot of RVs I haven't seen NEAR the frequency of things like falling trim or goofy fit/finish on Tandaras as I have other things in that class/price point

Wow....I am not just late to the party....I totally missed it!!! 😏 Here is my buck-fifty worth of opinions. lol I really like the light colors. Just makes it feel and look lighter, brighter and bigger. I like the three air conditioners. I don't mind the televator as long as it has the ability to move (kinda like the swing arm. I would just have a longer cabinet next to the tv so it acts as a buffer to the tv. Plus it can be an extra pantry or just storage.....or what would be really cool is a pull out pantry there. I really like the hide-a-bed. Pocket screwed cabinetry....thumbs up! Convection microwave....another thumbs up! It needs that four burner stove and bigger oven. I prefer 12v fridge. It needs a flush floor. That is a toe stubber for sure. LOVE the pantry!!! The kitchen needs more prep space. The island seems a bit small. YES!!!! A window in the door! Clear window with a shade already installed would be great. And like the fact it has the roller shades that have the white backing. Smart. I think both bathrooms are great. In the 325....need to put doors on the cabinets. It just doesn't make sense to not have them. I don't get it. The bathroom in the 365 is awesome!!! Storage....plenty of counter space even with two sinks....good toilet placement and a big shower!!!! Bravo!!!! Don't change anything except the four inch fart fan. Definitely need the bigger rain sensor fan. The bedroom is okay...not blown away....but...appreciate the washer and dryer prep and side stands!!!! It would be nice if there were storage under the side stands. And if it would come with a tv already mounted. Good road mode. Appreciate the info about the slides and the air conditioners and what the solar/batteries will run. Really good info!!! Gen prep!!! Six point hydraulic leveling! One dump station. I do miss the bumper for the stinky slinky on the back. I appreciate the two awnings. Thank you Mark! And thanks, Josh. Cool video doing both rvs. By the way....I love the meaning of the word, Ahara. And am really liking what I am seeing from East to West.

If there's not many normal windows on the door side, then put in a clear window the door. If there are a lot of windows then put in a frosted one

Clear window with shade in the door.
    Two-way fridge.
    Booth dinette.
MANUAL recliner...we dry camp a lot.
    Stop with the open cabinets.
Seeing daylight under the bed slide is alarming.
I'd prefer the smaller one with the two entries into
    the bathroom.
    Yes on the MaxxAir fan!
Kudos to them for putting the slides on individual switches! This is the first RV with hydraulic slides where that wouldn't be a deal-killer.
So, I'd take the bathroom on the first one with the bathroom cabinets from the second one, add the aforementioned things and it would be nearly perfect.
    This is a 7/10.

I can’t stand the two doors into the bathroom on the 325 but the double vanity in the other one is absolutely beautiful. That thing has almost 4000 lbs cargo capacity and I’d probably never even come close to that.
