Hotel Xcaret Mexico (@HotelXcaretMexico) is located about 1 hour from Cancun (CUN) in Playa Del Carmen. We had an awesome experience at Hotel Xcaret!
Wanted to give some information on the check-in process and showcase the food experience.

When we went in 21, Las Cuevas was by reservation. Heading back in October so it's good to know to get there early!
They may go back to the Reservation model, double check when you check in. The first come first serve was cool, though. Eat a second plate for me when you go!

Lots of great info here thank you! You have an amazing narrating voice and style! I'm kind of on the fence as its the most expensive place I've ever thought about staying, but maybe only time I can do it as well.
Oh, wow.... I really appreciate the compliment!! It's definitely not cheap, but the experience is definitely worth it (especially if you take advantage of all the parks). Try 2-3 nights to test it out

Wonderful informative video brother I went to Xcaret July 2021 and everything you mentioned in the video was spot on !! Will be returning June 2023 with a big group of 40 lol counting down the days for my return

So we are staying on the Arte side in June, but wanted to see a review of the Mexico side. You did an amazing job with your review ! I’m a speech language pathologist and in awe of your daughter… What a beautiful, intelligent little girl! I can tell she’s going to do big things some day! Back to review… I definitely want to try the steakhouse on the Mexico side… Do you know if they had the same type of steakhouse on the Arte side?

We didn't get to experience Arte (plan to, though), but their restaurants are more cultural/regional, chef-highlight, type restaurants. To my knowledge, there isn't a steakhouse.
the reason Las Cuevas is like that now is because now it doesn´t require reservation and guests staying at Xcaret Arte and casa de la playa have access to Xcaret Mexico and they make it very crowded in popular restaurants on this side. very nice video by the way.

@@desireeworthy677 Their reservation policy fluctuates. When we were there, they weren’t doing reservations. I would just say get there before 7:30
hi ,great vid.we will be there in a month and i'm wondering how strict is the dress code for the steakhouse / are chino style shorts acceptable ?

Great question! Shorts are definitely accepted. Honestly, I didn't see them enforcing any dress code.

If you are staying at Hotel Caret, only a few of the parks require reservations. For those, you can reserve onsite (at the hotel) as long as it is prior to 7PM the day before. Have fun, i know you will!

Awesome video. How long did you stay? how was room? trying to figure out how expensive it is for 4 days , want to go to xcarta park for 2 days then see ruins too but have to make sure I can afford this trip. Thanks for the awesome video. The food looks amazing
We stayed for 7 days and it still wasn't enough time to do everything! 4 would definitely be cheaper and for everything you get at this resort (admission to all parks, etc.), their pp/night is awesome!.

Thank you! I didn't see any *strictly enforced*, but yes. Las Cuevas had a dress code, for example. I believe Xin-Gao, Ha, and the other restaurants that requires reservations did as well.
Very informative video! We are debating staying here in December. Question about the drinks and poolside food service. Do they have premium alcohol or the watered down cheap one some all inclusive as serve?
Do they have a pool-side wait staff to bring drinks/food?
Much appreciated!! Yea, they definitely have premium/top shelf liquor. Of course request if you have a preference in mixed drinks, but I was happy w/ the drink service/quality. I don’t think there is poolside food, we never ordered/got offered and i never saw anyone else w/ food. There ARE poolside restaurants (like Trajinera and Chibali)
No Pool side wait staff but there are plenty of seats around the pool. There’s also stands serving fresh fruits , juices, crepes, at certain times of the day next to the pool. You can request for premium brands of alcohol.
Do you book and reserve the activities you want to do and restaurants when you get to the lobby? Or is that supposed to be done before ?
You can do reservations at check-in if you wanna plan out your stay. I recommend it for this stuff you REALLY wanna do. You also have the option to do on the fly, as long as reservation is made or cancelled by 7PM the night before
Going to Cancun Dec 2023 and I’m researching different hotels and I wanna stay here but nervous about the food! not for me I’ll try anything but my daughter is pretty picky. Was it hard to find menu items for your little one?
We didn't have any issues, but we did pack some of her favorite snacks as backup because, my daughter is also.... particular about what and when she chooses to eat. Being all-inclusive is much easier on the pockets, but also there are a variety of options she had to choose from. She enjoyed it

How does Hotel Xcaret food compare to Finest Playa Mujeres?
