Yeah Toledo has a few routes that go thru it, but it's needed more places. Train travel is a fun way to see things and a great way to travel if heading to a big city where no car is needed.
The train from Orlando to Tampa originates in NYC the day before, thus increasing the probability it will be delayed into Orlando. It's also likely that multiple people have occupied the coach seats on the train's southbound overnight journey. There are two trains per day in each direction between Miami and NYC but only one stops in Tampa.
Yeah the Orlando Amtrak station is right by my job and I see it go by 3 times per day. Yeah it is delayed a lot but that is the norm with Amtrak but that's ok. Thank you for watching and leaving us a comment. We truly appreciate it!
Amtrak can be good but this experience was rough. So late and then train was dirty. Brightline has been great so far Please watch our Brightline vlogs and see!
I see it travels right up against some homes. I have never seen a Amtrak train on the tracks other than your videos. That water is sloshing in the to toilet.
It is clear that Amtrack needs new cars with nice large windows to enjoy the ride. A little more pride in the service and maintenance of the coaches will go a long ways. One service a day from or to Tampa will not make it a viable service as an intercity service. I keep looking at auto traffic on I-4 and ask myself (When will we learn?) we are willing to tax our communities to build a new stadium but not to improve our railway system. Very sad.
Yeah Amtrak cars need to be upgraded at some point. They need to take a page from Brightline about cleanliness. Staff on Amtrak has always been good to us during our travels. The good thing is Brightline is coming to connect Orlando to Tampa at some point in the next few years hopefully with a Lakeland stop in between. Yeah I-4 sucks, I hate driving it! It's why I ride the Sunrail so much for work.
@@PrimeTimeTravelers I’m with you. Perhaps a little competition from Brightline will make a difference. It really would be nice not to crawl anymore on the I-4. What a disaster that is. Of course how nice would it be if we had a big great loop around the state. Just me wishfull thinking about what it could be.
Thanks for the excellent journey and filming brother! Wow, Amtrak trains are not well kept but you did a great job with this 👊🏼
Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the kind words!
Nice to have a view that you could not see if you were driving , Areas that a car could not go through , Nice Video
Yeah one great things about taking the trains are the views! And no I-4!
Wish they had commuter rail around me. Not always the fastest I guess but saves the hassle of driving and gives you some different things to look at.
Hope you guys are staying safe and the storm doesn’t hit you.
Oh it's coming. Expecting up to 24" of rain in my county.

Thank you for the great video! I've never done this Amtrak route before, so it's nice to get an overview of what it's like!

Awesome train footage! Love the images you captured.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great prime train ride from Orlando to Tampa my friend, Texas did not have the prime train from Houston to Dallas yet like in Florida 😊enjoyed

Brightline will put Amtrack out of business in Florida in a heart beat.

Stay safe and stay dry 🙏
Thank you Mike! We are trying. So far, so good but a LONG way to go!

Yeah the water was slooshing because the train was moving!! Yeah Amtrak actually goes right past my job and my house!
