Great to see. I'm surprised the islanders haven't rioted over the way they've been treated with the incompetence of the commissioning of this vessel. Has anyone been brought to justice?
Strangely enough the island has suffered from a downturn in business due to the constant complaints and moans about the Ferries from the locals. Perhaps the hated Scottish Government should stop subsidising the Ferries.
@@alexanderferguson2199 The islanders should be very grateful to the Scot Government that heavily subsidises the most extensive, most reliable, newest fleet of ships and cheapest ferry service in the World right here second to none. If you disagree tell me another ferry service that compares to ours.
If the SNP dropped their silly green agenda and ordered 2 deisel ferries, they would have been sailing in 2018 at close to the budgeted cost. The Ferry fiasco lies solely at the door of the Scottish government and theyre green con! Still, good to see her finally dock at Broddick@paparobbo62
Just needs to do berthing trials at Troon , next departure from her current Clyde berth 7th oct . Will the vessel be in service sooner , or early in November? The ferry is badly needed to be in service ASAP .
If only the Scottish Government had used common sense back at the design stage & used efficient diesel engines & not pointless dual fuel which caused the build costs to sky rocket & ridiculous delays. As has been described by the builders the complexity of trying to fit everything under the car deck has made her as complex if not more so than a Type 26 frigate! Only tax payers money I guess as the government has none!
If only politicians stepped out of the way and let people who do know what they are doing get on with the job. Each and every time they involve themselves with any project, it gets totally messed up. How late is this ship, where is the terminal for the green fuel it was touted to use, and what steps are being taken to ensure the continued services to other islands? Pitiful performance by pi55 poor politicians.
Stunning looking ship, well done to SNP and all the workers at the Port Glasgow yard to produce such a vessel after all the managerial mismanagement during her construction.
As you say Dave, a great day for the island… What have they said to you guys about when they hope to have it into full service? (Also, another great looking day on Arran… It’s been raining for 38 hours straight down here… I told you on Friday we REALLY didn’t want to be leaving the island…).
I'm hearing it might be another 6 weeks or so roughly. Yes we had a good day for it, really great by all accounts. A day to remember. Sorry about your rainfall...you'll just need to come straight back here again, on the new ferry maybe
@@davetheraverovingtherock If we come back over on the new ferry, it could mean we have to wait another 6 weeks… ☹️. I fancy coming back up tomorrow… 🤣 Dunno about a job or where we’ll sleep…
Ha Ha Ha what a joke its now in PORT GLASGOW waiting on new parts as the original parts are that old they now need to be replaced - the Snp's biggest joke EVER.

Are you kidding??? 'Built in Scotland from girders'???? you been in hibernation, these ships have been a disgrace with regard to Scottish shipbuilding in the past, and they don't even fit the ports they were built for.
Is that bulbous bow going to hit the ramp first!? As someone who likes to be outside on a ship im thinking deck space is going to half that of Caley Isles at most.
She'll be the oldest ship in the fleet by the time she goes into service.
Don’t think it’s going to be back any time soon!
Hadrian's wall was built quicker in AD 122 than the Glen Sannox in AD 2017.
The islanders deserve this amazing ship. It’s their lifeline. Thanks Dave.
And it needed a tug to two it home. It is amazing. It is amazing how badly the whole fiasco has been handled by an incompetent government.
The Glen Sannox ferry has taken 7 years and is still not in service. The Titanic was laid down and in service in 37 months.
Great jobs for captain!
Looks lovely! I can't wait to sail on her. Thanks for sharing 😀
Only 6yrs late must have been rough
and no painted on windows I am impressed.

But the ports have not been up graded to take her
great to see.....at last !!
Looking good. Fingers crossed all goes well with the trials.
Brilliant cant wait to get on it 👏 🏴🏴🏴
Me too 😁
That's just great to see. Thanks for filming, commenting and sharing, Dave!
It must be time for a shopping trip to Ardrossan so you'll be looking forward to inspecting the new ferry.
Margaret, are there any shops left in Ardrossan? Saltcoats? Stevenston? Kilwinning? Irvine? Ayr? etc And, no, this is not something to celebrate!
Fantastic video Dave cheers
Great to see Dave.

@@joany531oh yes they did
Prediction: broken by Monday .,.
Your having a giraffe Dave, overpriced white elephant built by SNP 😢
I wonder what fuel it was using for the crossing?
You’d have been told if it had been LNG.
heavy oil
Happy days
I've heard that it is an Isle of Mann business who own Ardrossan Harbour, which complicates matters as they do not want to upgrade it!
Yes Peel Ports has owned it since 1992 and it's a private business
And then she broke down!!!
Remind me how much it cost Dave
& how late the build was....
200 million
What a great day for Scotland all the Scotland hating unionists will be pissed off
Broken down again, never to fit in Ardrossan
Sure its not an AI production?!!😂

I wholeheartedly agree 👍
Did they open the bow doors ?
Yes they did that and then turned in the berth afterwards

The good ship SNP pray it does not sink.
Over budget and about seven years late.
