Grace, I was wondering how you present yourself on your resume and in person when auditioning? I'm missing my left forearm and feel like I'm lying or hiding if I don't write it on my resume or if I wear a prosthetic at an audition because as you probably know, most people don't notice (even when I don't wear it!). I don't want to be deceptive, but I don't want people to only focus on my arm rather than my talent.

Though I assume when an audition goes through my agent, that she tells them before hand as casting Directors have never actually appeared surprised. I also always tell them that I do have a realistic prosthetic arm if need be, incase they need me to look "normal" - not that I necessarily agree with this. In all honesty it's a risky situation not to tell them, but it's a risk i'm willing to take, as I don't want to be turned down for an audition before i've even demonstrated my acting ability. Also these days diversity can also be seen as advantage to bit television channels (not that I necessarily agree with positive Discrimination either- but use what you''ve got to your advantage right?).
