Great game, this is how Yamato should be played. Sadly most are just sniping from back. Also very entertaining commentary of yours, I enjoyed this. Thanks Notser!

Thank you Notser! I have seen so many yamato captains who doesn't realize that their ship actually has armor. All they do is sitting at the back of the map sniping.
Im glad that finally someone noticed that Yammi is so great ship and without legendary module or/and Aiming module. This ship already have one of the best sigma in the game. I also prefer more faster guns.
Nice round just keep your good work up But where is my understanding problem with the commander skills at the beginning? PT + PM = 2 points, 1 each EM + AR = 4 points, 2 each BoS + SI = 6 points, 3 each FP + CE = 8 points, 4 each Total: 20 points
@@aitoririso2257 Actually its not equally viable. It require much more skill to play radar Mino over smoke Mino. Most players are confortable in smoke build ofc. Mine also.
Question for Notser: do you consider Yamato overpenning a real issue, or just an annoying consequence for this particular ship and setup? IRL and game-wise those 18.1" are especially designed for long-distant engagement and as a consequence bring quite a lot of punch-power on shorter distances which obviously overpen when the enemy armour isn't big enough set off the fuse. You are actually lucky that in your last salvo a shell dove in a piece of armor that counted for a penetration (although I've not checked if 3 overpens would have been enough damage)
Can you do a Shimakaze build video? I feel like I had to turn my torp-sniper Shima into a weak gunboat to make it competitive again and that makes me feel like I am doing it all wrong.
You know there is a bug In the game atm if you take expert marksman yammys turret transverses is around 30 sec. it won’t say it in port under but somehow the values have been flipped between the big guns/ small guns. Multiple YTers have take about it.
I was in a yomato the other day in ranked... and got deleted from half health from the super yomoto (whatever it's named now)... thru the front... felt sooo cheated. Btw captain 2 pointer turret transverse is currently broken... no way yamato's turrets are anywhere as fast, normally.
The problem with Yamato at too close range is over pen. The guns are massive you over pen most things because you are too close in range. Love the ship but she requires a different play style than most battleships. She also handles like a brick and can't get anywhere fast at 27 knts.
Taking EM is a no brainer on any BB. But taking the 15% turret treverse is just not it. Your whole role in the Yamato is accuracy and as long as you practice good gun placement that small difference in turret traverse means nothing. The Yamato gets citedeled way to easy from close range as it can be deviststed from the side or even the cheeks. It is a long range ship that can bow tank in a pinch.
In all your recent games you leave your teammates way too much towards enemies to enemies fate (being totally indifferent to their fate - just being in your head, in your personal individualistic story) - very putting off... In this game worcester against vladivostok is a great example... - you could slow down on B, head backwards and punish vladivostok... but you clearly didn't give a toss, and comfortably sailed away into your own head story... (and you do it regularly recently)
I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is: Try to please everybody. _Herbert Bayard Swope_ Best Notser can do is to spend all his attention on his own situation, which can be tricky enough, as half of your general team mates might proove you every day. Slowing down, heading back and basically toss away all the advantages speed, maneuverability and as a consequence his own ability to influence a confrontation with the Vladi, is really really dangerous. Maybe he could have done something (questionable) or maybe the Vladi could have found a way to make good use of Notser's severe disadvantage. Such an action basically gives all the advantages and initiative to the Vladi, and only goes well if the Vladi cocks up himself.
I hate that all the cruisers get a pass when the mess up ... perfect broadside and they survive I don’t think it’s right 90% the time ... only 10% the time they pay for the mistake
man thats not a good idea... u get LESS than an expert marksman with that upgrade and LOSE 7% accuracy. i would take 7% accuracy over expert marksman any day. if u plan your gun angles correctly u wont need more than EM. also yamato turret traverse is bugged now so its better than normal.
Notser. you know the Super Yamato is actually in the game now, called Shikishima right? probably shouldnt advertise a video about it while just running the plain Yamato
First time I experianced getting 1 Airdropped in my DM and now I borderline hate the game! Like 90% health with 1 bombing run is the dumbest thing I've ever seen and simply not fair WG can shove it.
Kinda Agreed, but WG should reconsider adding some small flood/leak dmg (say 0.35%/s hp loss for 20-30s) if they got overpens on the waterline (CA/L and BB), so they don't show flat broadside carelessly and get away with it.
@@DirectorBird Not enough to persuade people to not broadside, but overpens are a thing IRL. I wonder if Yamato has a higher chance to overpen because WG modeled some characteristics of the type91 waterdiving shells as a higher fuse-time.... but this is the IJN noob speaking here. If I understood correctly shell induced flooding was a feature in the Alpha release of this game.
Love watching but the over pen stuff is why I no longer play WoWs. Thinking man's game but the broadside Worcester should have been launched into orbit... 9 over pens? Yeah, no thanks.
Yamato: 70% Overpen on broadside and 30% citadel hits :D
Better then every other BB I play where it’s 70% richocets 30% over pens.
Notser saying Come on, don’t pull a Notser is pure comedy. So funny.
Lured them in with a Notser, totally planned.
That Fiji is seriously regretting division-ing up with a higher tier friend and then sees a Yamato locking sights on his T7 butt

Super Yamato is actually Shikishima thought you’re playing something else.
What’s the best way to earn steel though? No one seems to tell us.
Do clan battles and ranked. Shouldn't really need a guide since it's pretty much the only way
How often does sitting on your ass waiting for someone to tell you something work out for you?
The easiest way is to keep doing daily missions. It may take months to save enough for a ship but you'll get there eventually.

Shocking - a Yamato at the frontlines. Surely hell is freezing now ;)

It is a super fair weakness of the guns, Yamato prefers Battleships imo
Last time i use this Yamato setup , my team was still in the spawn.
This is kinda why I just play as a gun platform with yamato
Always entertaining 😎
quick question, my AA bubble is only 45 degrees while your is 180 ?
Starting out the video with "Hey y'all this is Notser" instead of "Heeyyyyy this is Notser" after four or so years of watching just gave me a complex.

So out of curiosity, why didn't you feel the need to switch to HE at all during all those cruiser over-pens?
Damage per salvo is much higher with Yamato Ap
that ending :O
Your captain skills add up to 20 points
great overpen ratio Notser.

wait 20 points on the commander?
Fantastic

Bad for meta imo, lots of 457s now and HE is very effective against her. I'd pick a tanker bb line personally
