I always thought that quick shifters for road bikes were really just gadgets. That is until I recently test drove a GSX-S 1000GX. It just blew my mind. I’m now thinking about installing one on my 2022 GSX-S 750. Thanks for the video!
@@motolover_7504 is there any tells on the bike that shows the difference between the 750z and the regular gsxs? just got a gsxs abs 2021 but im not sure if its the z model?
So the first few years of production I know that the Z model was just about the black color scheme and they didn't have abs. Somewhere along the way I believe they flipped it and the z models came in colors other than black and there was an option for abs. I'm not sure of what year but to answer your question, no there's no tells that I know of. No "Z"s anywhere that I'm aware of. 🤔 Let me know if you find out anything on that. I'd be curious to know as well!
I think Translogic make a lot of the quickshifters for the "Big Boy" bike manufacturers like Triumph, Yamaha, Ducati, Aprilia. It just seems to me that the Translogic is the premium quickshifter used at Moto GP. I am not saying the Healtech is an bad product, but with kit such as quickshifter, you want the premium package that is made with the upmost care. It has to work well all the time. I have just heard Healtech quickshifters allowing for false neutrals. In the end, like everything in life, you exactly get what you pay for.
@motolover_7504 Went for my initial ride yesterday. It's going to take a sec to adapt to it but the 1st time I clicked at 14,000 rpm it made my sticker peck up 🤣🤣🤣
I'm stuck between the Annitori and this QS. I have after market rear set (sato) and seems like my shift rod is only 8mm away from my shifter. You have any clearance issues and what's a good website you guys purchased this from? Thanks for the help! Love the channel!
@shayneross8137 I got mine from MotoMummy which was a stocking dealer. Had good luck with them multiple times now. My shift rod is a close fit but no problems in operation.

Hey sorry for the late reply! It is an option on specific bikes I belive. The bike must be ride by wire though if I'm not mistaken. My bike is cable so I don't believe I could get that option in my case. As far as I know if your bike is compatible, there is an extra package you have to buy in order to get auto blip and it also requires dyno tuning to get it dialed in. Seemed like a big hassle either way but yes it is possible depending on the setup of your bike! 👊🏾😊
I had the healtech on my CBR1000rr, it stopped working on the second day…..I fiddled with the settings but it worked intermittently. I switched to annitori and it’s worked perfectly. The healtech is the easiest to install though.
I was also looking into the HealTech at one point!! It's an interesting setup with the single pressure sensor! Makes it super easy to install like you said. But I guess I'm glad I didn't go with that one, haha. Thanks man!
Haha good observation!! Yes I have what's called a Digital Guard Dog Keyless Ignition Module, a.k.a. Digital Guard Dog KIM Unit!! It allows me to just walk up to the bike and start it with the key fob in my pocket! I must add that it's worked absolutely flawlessly since I've installed it. Sometimes I forget it's a mod because I never have had to think about it! I first considered it because someone actually tried to steal my bike once and they damaged the tumblers in the key slot so I could no longer get my key in it. After that I fecided to just get the KIM Unit instead of spending the money to get a whole new key set up at the time.

Does the order of how you plug the cables arfect anything is specific order or it doesnt matter?

How's it going man!! My main issue was the loose connector, yea. I honestly am not sure if the order mattered in the end or not 🤔
Yeah the order matters too, because not all coils will be shut off and on at the same time. This is for a smooth shifting experience :)

I did play with the timing here and there, yes but it was pretty damn good right out of the box. Everyone's situation will be unique, though.
