My partner is from Trencin which is north of Trnava and I have seen quite a bit of western Slovakia. It's a beautiful country which is very very clean and with friendly people and still relatively cheap as a tourist. If you've never been it's well.wlrth a visit. The ground of AS Trencin has one of the best backdrops in world football.

Trnava is my home town, it's very beautiful and there's always something new. Have you smelt candy around the train station? There is a candy factory nearby, so often times you can smell candy while waiting for the train. Also, Pilsner is Czech and the head on the beer is a cultural thing, it's for the aesthetic.
