I came to watch this video 42minutes after upload and it's got a thumbs down. Do you and #captainvanquish ”dislike” each others videos to mess with each other? 😂
😅 You two kill me!!! Keep going...both of you! I live vicariously through you to some extent. I get to see you guys do much of what I cannot. KEEP GOING!!!💪
A great series, At the end of the series raffle the truck off like 5 dollars change and all funds going to a charity of your choice! Good info on tire foam
I've been enjoying all the series , I love learning new things, Love the lights along the shelf awesome. Looking forward for next week . Again appreciate you sharing Josh. Have a great evening
I truly enjoy the budget build offs, it gives us some ideas for our own rigs. I have never changed the stock foams in my rig and after watching this I plan on beadlock wheels, new tires, and foams.. well done Josh, not let's see what Matt has for us.
Remove springs for a Full drupe, tune ride hight w/fuel tube bump stops.... lower cg. 10t pinion. She'll side hill and nose up better. Nice foam set up. Like the new stiffie inners. Betcha they work awesome.
Do you find that wide tires have more wash out than a narrow tire when they lose traction? Thanks for busting your tail to get us a build off through the summer
I think a head to head meet is in order at the same location and same course with a stock trx4 run and then a run from each build to see the true build differences from all the performance perspectives that both have been upgraded with. A true head to head battle just seems necessary with this finale! Either way I enjoyed both builds!
After watching the comparison between the upgraded TRX and the stock TRX...I would like to see what the total real-world dollar amount has been put into the modified truck. It is a lot more capable. Then...I would be curious to see how this new "premium" version of the TRX4 compares to the new Vanquish (ready to go...kinda) release. If I'm wanting something that is more capable...and plan on dropping the coin to have that...which is the way to go? As a real world comparison...do I want to buy a Mustang GT and pours lots on money into it...or do I just want to get the GT500 and be done with it? Does that make sense?
I sadly have not watched your entire series on this rig Harley, I don't own a TRX but several Axials :-), can you tell me if these tires had air holes added to them or were they left sealed air tight?
I was thinking about trimming off the molded fenders on my sport kit body so I could slam the body down a few cms, but I realized the body mount system makes it impossible. Have you heard of an alternative for this? Probably going to run the bowhouse lcg tray aswell.
Wicked info so thanks for that! Would you vary the choices here for different terrain? You clearly have rock aplenty, I have only mud/grass etc surfaces. I've gone firmer to help keep the treads open and as mud free as poss. Any advice welcome from u or the masses. 👍
Little cheater note. Your rear tire does most all the work pulling hills and side hilling favoring torque twist. For example scx10. Tune the left rear tire differently from the right rear. Keep those rear shocks tight with preload, so your rear wheels float over a negative edge or hole. Great video!
please give a list with parts and pricelist overview and running video sporting as much footage of when the upgrades are doing their thing( foam an tyre articulation, steering power, throttle modulation and so forth
I think a trail crawl off would be a good finale, I would also like to add I would love to see you guys do a rc4wd tf2 budget build keeping the leaf spring chassis but to see what you two can come up with, ( and to give me more ideas how to improve my tf2 😁) but I love the budget builds and have used some of the tips. Thanks for all your hard work.
At 7 minutes of watching the video I was distracted by the back light it looks cool the two tone is great color 👍👍👍👍👍then I had to rewind to look at the video again 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How about a you set up a few comp courses, drive them with your own cars, then swap cars and do them with the other. That was you can experience each others builds to the fullest!
I cant get one set of foams into the VS410 tires and you're up here talking about 3 stage foams?? What kinda magic you using to get them into the tires and onto the beadlocks?
Pleasee ohh please.. fix the rear ride height.. it's bothering me 😫😫😫 Nice tech tips on foam 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Same setup on my liking, double setup on front and single for the rear 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
315 RC and Scale I thought he said something like three weeks ago that he was going to re-spring it in the rear to level it out. He obviously didn’t get to it though. It’s bothering me too.
Hey Josh, great videos series. Been following you and Matt on this one. Really like the info on the tire foam setup. What are your thoughts on the proline foams?
If they are on a stand when parked they’re fine. Almost any foam will flat spot if sat for a long time, it’s just the nature of foam. I run CI in almost every trail rig I have.
@@HarleyDesignsInc i dont have the luxury of keeping all my rigs on stands and your right all foams get flatspots thats why i moved away from using foams alot of my rigs are over 10lbs some up to 20lbs so the flat spot issue gets even worse so no foams for me i realy have high hopes for the proline tire/wheel honeycomb thing i think if they remove the tread and treat it like a foam insert it would revolutionalize the rc tire industry plenty of suport and no flat spots rubber is alot more forgiving when it comes to bouncing back after being deformed for a comp rig i dont think anyone will give up there foams but the rest of us i think its a much better alternitive
I think a head to head would be great. Portals vs deletes. Matt doesn't seem to have much for rocks in his neck of the woods, so he should ship it to you and Tony or Gene drive it against yours. Let's see if the deletes was a good idea
I see the point of venting tires. Where I crawl and more specifically what time of year I crawl I absolutely can not vent tires. I can run the truck through a creek in winter then start driving through snow and it doesnt take long for the water in the tire to freeze. Talk about a firm foam
You know, I kinda miss the CNC machine noise. And, new record folks, Josh talked about tire foams for 16 minutes! ;)

Busted;)
These budget build series are the best!✌️👍
I understand foams better now thanks!
I really love you’re series.
Thanks for all the effort.
I am so grateful for your channel! Please don't quit doing what you do!!!
A great series, At the end of the series raffle the truck off like 5 dollars change and all funds going to a charity of your choice! Good info on tire foam
Thanks for more info on foams. I haven’t experimented too much with foams.
I've been enjoying all the series , I love learning new things, Love the lights along the shelf awesome. Looking forward for next week . Again appreciate you sharing Josh. Have a great evening

Trail face off with both trucks 👍
Love this series you guys keep it up
Great video, and the new studio looks very nice. Thank you for doing a video like this to explain some of the more intricate workings of tire foams.
Gonna try those foams
Remove springs for a Full drupe, tune ride hight w/fuel tube bump stops.... lower cg. 10t pinion. She'll side hill and nose up better. Nice foam set up. Like the new stiffie inners. Betcha they work awesome.
Thank you and Matt for another AWESOME Budget Build series! Love the series. Sad to see it come to an end, but looking forward to the next adventure!
Most helpful episode for me personally thanks for the break down

Yeah my same setup soft outer in front median in the back. Crawler innovations only ones I use,

I'm in the exact same boat right now as well.

Crawler Innovations makes some awesome stuff...I liked the series... keep it up...
Your guys’ trucks are siiick dude! Awesome build series for sure & always loaded with great info! You & Matt are RC Jedi🤙
I was thinking about trimming off the molded fenders on my sport kit body so I could slam the body down a few cms, but I realized the body mount system makes it impossible.
Have you heard of an alternative for this? Probably going to run the bowhouse lcg tray aswell.
How did you vent your tyres? Holes in the tyre? Holes in your beadlock wheel???
1/8” holes in the tires. 2 of them spaced 180 degrees from each other on the carcass of the tire.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Thank you sir! Would love to see you modify a trx-4 again
Oh man great job! Kinda sad to see this build stop. I just bought one to try all the cool upgrades you guys did!

Hope you do a hpi venture build
A new release from crawler inovations!! Dang i wish there was a show that told us about scale updates in The market.....

are you keeping the dark background in the new studio? go for brighter like sbg
Good video but yeah, you need more light period, can't see what's on your desk.
Would be cool if Vanquish sold some Brass 1.9 clamp rings.
Give them both away on the final finale👍
Great content! Any chance you would a do VS4-10 Pro/Origin tunning serries?
Both trucks must go head to head on rocks and trails in final week.
We live 3000 miles apart 😁
@@HarleyDesignsInc what color did you use on the body?
Mitch Puterbaugh it’s whatever color Brandon had at home 😁 Some sort of Tamiya gun metal
@@HarleyDesignsInc haha thanks

Like the new setup. I just got the proline 1.9 boggers. 5.4 tall. What would be a good for a tire that big?
Good catch..lol
Terry Armond you can run a dual stage 2.2 foam with those no problems. There’s no play between the foam and inner beadlock ring 👍🏻
When are you going to level the ride height lol.
Is that an Ikea shelf in the background, it looks a lot like mine. Great video and details!
I cant get one set of foams into the VS410 tires and you're up here talking about 3 stage foams?? What kinda magic you using to get them into the tires and onto the beadlocks?
Studio has a nice fengshui too it my Braddah 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
maybe tick that exposure up a tad.
No overnight parts? I thought you wanted to decimate all. 😆
For the finally, put a 6s pack in it, find a big ramp and give it a proper send off!
I want to see more upgrades in week 16
Pleasee ohh please.. fix the rear ride height.. it's bothering me 😫😫😫

Like the new studio. 16 weeks already. huh.
the problem with ci foams is they get bad flatspots and don't work right any more great for comp rigs but not for a daily crawler

You need more light in my opinion.
Thanks for the video you guys should have everyone vote for the winner and then Raffle or donate them for a Good Cause

Shipping it to me really isn’t a bad idea.
So, your not going to change the rear springs
I would like y'all to build a rc4wd toyota fourruner
Point in case.... DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS!
You could jump over a kiddy pool full of brass “upgrade” parts :-)
Have a “drive off” against Mat.. Do it comp style.
4:15 I was following you just fine... But then at 8:40 you lost me... So 3 layers of foam?
Run it against the VS410 pro
I thought only newbies vented their tires;)
I see the point of venting tires. Where I crawl and more specifically what time of year I crawl I absolutely can not vent tires. I can run the truck through a creek in winter then start driving through snow and it doesnt take long for the water in the tire to freeze. Talk about a firm foam
That's pretty cool thanks for sharing I would have never thought the Foams would freeze up but it does make sense
👍🏼
Both trucks dropped at equal points from a destination and whoever drives to the finishing point first wins. (long distance rc trek race thingy)
could be 2 routes up a mountain and whoever summits first
Dancing rider build off? haha
Chassis
Like the new studio but as others have said it’s too dark, hard to see.
Just delete the portals already...
👍🏽🐒
First,
Lack of actual dollars and cents mentioned in your budget videos make them a little less budgety
Auction them off for charity
