missrollsjoyce THIS IS NOT RACIST! Said the black chick. Anyone who takes offense to this video is WAY TOO SENSITIVE AND NEED TO RETHINK THEIR FEELINGS.
missrollsjoyce um? Just because someone is white does NOT mean that they are racist. That would be racist to assume that all white people are racist. Anyone of any color can see discrimination and racism when they see it. It isn't racist, I honestly don't see how it could possibly be. It is only showcasing the true skill it takes to transform one person into a character using SFX makeup. It could've been a white old woman, an alien, a dog, or LITERALLY anything else.
I absolutely hate when people say African American & not black. Not all black people are from America. As a matter of fact, the vast, VAST majority are not. How do you figure that you have no position to say whether you feel this is racist or not? White, black, orange, purple green whatever, you have just as much right to an opinion as anyone else; and your race should not have to validate it. I'm so tired of people feeling like they should have to apologise for their opinions just because of their race. The opinion itself is what matters, not the race of the person it's coming from. If it's a racist comment coming from a black person, that doesn't make it any less racist than if it were coming from a white person, or any other race for that matter. Your statement was/is not racist and you should not have to feel the need to lessen it, simply because you're white.
That is one of the dumbest, most bullshit statements ever. If you honestly believe that, you're a complete moron. Racism is Racism. EVERYONE can be racist, and by making a moronic statement about how only white people can be racist, YOU are being racist. Do you know the definition of the word? "...belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races, and the expression of such prejudice." In other words: You're a racist asshole.
K Hun Blackface is the discrimination of black people by making themselves up in a disrespectful way and acting in a matter that is degrading and derogatory to the african american race. This is too much effort unless this character actually goes through this transformation for some reason. I'm not offended, I'd just like to know why they're being so extra lol
Clearly you're offended. "Couldn't they find an old black lady?" That's literally the entire point of the video. It's called a makeup transformation for a reason.
although i see what your saying. there is a huge problem in the movie industry with this. This isn';t what this video's about, but there are cases when whites are cast for black roles instead of actual black people. While there are tons of qualified black actors to play the parts. Example the nina Simone movie. They black faced a light complexion actress to play a dark complexion singer little did they know the late singer Nina Simone to faught against colorism (kinda like racism ,but focuses on the meaning of complexion within the black community) ex dark women being made to feel ugly by lighter black women or the standard of complexions set in place by society
blackface isn't always intentionally racist. It's just the history of it that makes it so awful and the fact that someone's race isn't a costume so when they get to go take it off at the end of the day and be a privileged white person, all of the black people dont. It's just not right, so yeah they could've used a black woman and it would've been so much better
Meyhanna Cooper just because black people do it too, doesn't mean it's not racist, and just because you're not personally offended doesn't make it okay.
@@rileyday5634 it doesn't mean it's racist or offensive neither. If you are going to say, as a white person, that it's racist you have to explain why at least, or your opinion is just irrelevant
I wish there was a video like the French video of a family of three doing black to white but I can't find one. Of anyone knows of a good one for white to black plz tell me!
generally most older ppl have larger noses in every race because our noses, ears, and feet are the last to stop growing. However, Africans do typically have wider noses because of the origin if which they reside. African American however, have variation because of the cooler climate, and our ancestors being raped by caucasianoids.
The double standards in this world... I was watching black-white video and people were screaming how racist and rude it was. But white-black is perfectly fine and amazing, in fact some people say it's beautiful. Why can't we all be equal and caring for one another?
How the fuck is either racist? It's the same idea as doing special effects makeup to look like an alien, or a monster, or like you have a huge gash in your face. Making the person look like they're something that they're not. It's really cool in my opinion, both ways, seeing how the people change with skilled makeup artists and in no way is any of it racist.
Biggest Potterhead Actually, I watched a black-white video and people were still screaming racist. I think people just like screaming that. Best to ignore it and not feed the trolls.
Are people so blinded by hatred, they cannot admire incredible artwork when it is right in front of them? The prosthetics and makeup used in this process was not meant to re-create blackface, but to transform a model into someone else by challenging themselves to new techniques, and using their own understanding of those techniques to create something beautiful. It's called art. As an artist, you would not use a "black" person's skin color for black, and you would not use a "white" person's skin color for white. Yes, oppression happened, but many different people with different skin tones and cultures have been oppressed over the ages. However, you weren't alive during those days, they are not your experiences, and you live in an entirely different world than they did. You cannot preach for equality without giving it, or proper respect, unto others. Cultural appropriation is ludicrous because I guarantee 80% of you have a mixed bloodline of thousands of different peoples and as a human race, the cultures developed around the world should be shared and celebrated by everyone, not just an elite few who deem themselves entitled to it. The Nazi Regime did that and look how the world reacted. Appreciate one another.
this is art, but all art exists within a social context. we have a history of blackface in this country so this may not be a good idea... and we still have lots of societal problems including racism against black people. look at police brutality and housing discrimination for example. if you want to love everyone with your makeup art, learn how to do makeup for women of color.
You tried to be deep but failed. You clearly don't understand the struggles of black people. Being black is not a fucking costume you can just take off at the end of the day. They have talent, I'll give them that. But this wasn't necessary and you know it. Why couldn't they just use, I don't know, someone who is actually black? Why didn't they just transform her into an old lady, instead of a black old lady. You can't mask ignorance as art.
+Kaylah B. Here is a question: How does completely removing yourself from all other races help you? I have noticed that there is a big situation where people uses the wording "my people" and "your people" to separate themselves? Will this not end up going in the opposite direction from solving the problem?
***** So I am gonna try to shorten this and might lose some of my thoughts on this on the way but I will try to make what I wanted to get to clear. Just gonna start with that I do not believe in God but understand the people that do as it might give more meaning to life but as you said the bible is full of "them" and "we", fighting against others in order to convert them to a new religion and using the words "white" and "black" to describe that process. And even the problem of black and white as a long time use for describing something bad vs something good. But that has to do with day being light because of the sun and night being dark because of no sun. I am not forgetting but pointing out that the continuous use of dividing people in your or mine will not result in anything good. The problem with this is that slave traders started out with claiming innocent people as their property. Resulting in black people having to claim back themselves even though they should have been their own to begin with. Now some people (racist people) see North America as their own telling immigrants to leave and that "they" are not welcome while people that were there to begin with dark skin equally long as the racist people are fighting an internal battle. There are dark skin asian people, dark skin middle eastern people, dark skin Indian people and so on, equally to all the light skin people from different groups and they are also under attack from these racist people. The words them and we just seem to divide people that can support each other and fight against the racism together? (Also just a little funny side note but white people are not really white but rather pinkish looking don't you think?)
But Black people transformed into White people and no one batted an eye? In my opinion both transformations weren't racist because no one was being stereotypical. This lady wasn't mocking Black people, and her features weren't over exaggerated. I find it pretty cool actually, even if she doesn't look Black. It was fun to watch.
Cultrice Co. Actually it does. So I guess if I called Hispanics immigrants , White people racist , that Back are lazy and drink grape cool-aid, All Asians are Chinese, and Natives are alcoholics I wouldn't be racist? Last time I checked those were stereotypes, and very racist. Racist base their beliefs on stereotypes so what are you talking about?
Racism is believing a race is superior or inferior to another. So no, calling all Hispanics immigrants (which is a horrible example), all white people racist, all blacks lazy and enjoy drinking Kool-Aid, all Asians being of Chinese decent, and all Natives alcoholics (never heard that one before) isn't racist. They're just generalizations based solely upon ignorance.
I'm black. If somebody asked me, "Do you like fried chicken? I've heard your people do," it wouldn't be racism. He or she simply stereotyped me. You blacks always cry racism when something offends you. Look up the definition of a label before you pin it on something; reading is fundamental.
You also forgot prejudice and discrimination in your definition. And you do recognize that these generalization were made to make people of certain groups feel inferior right? These stereotypes are racially charged. Do I need to break it down for you why these stereotypes are racist and harmful? For a society that wants everyone to coexist with each other and destroy racism, ignorant people like you can't grip the fact that stereotypes aren't helping. If you want to keep defending that making generalizations of a certain groups of people isn't racist keep doing that. You're probably one of those people who uses these stereo types in a day to day basis.
I really gotta hand it to makeup artists. If they can successfully imitate a look for a character of a completely different race, then they seriously have a lot of skill and pay a lot of attention to detail. It's amazing, really.
To show how far prosthetics and makeup has come? Girl i think it's self explanatory in the title. It's a Transformation video, nothing more nothing less.
This is an incredible makeup job. People lighten up a bit. This is artistry. Whether the transformation is black to white or white to black. Disregard the color and look at the talent. This is NOT black face. Look up your history.
If many of yall didn't read it says SENIOR, they're not making fun of Africans... They're making an older African. This wasn't meant to be directed to racism.. It was for the purpose of makeup and effect..
Interesting point- but it is not really the way it tends to work. The point that it is just acting is very valid and makes a ton of sense... but if you could hire a black actor... there are plenty that get shut out of Shakesperian and such roles... why bother with the makeup
Aaaaaand my point has been proven. I pointed out on the black to white transformation that no one found it racist, and I had many negative (and quite rude) responses towards me that I'm the one misinformed about the concept. Obviously however, there's controversy going on with this video, so it shows that people are quite hyprocritical.
I think makeup like this is just to show how gifted these artist are, they took a young white woman and made her look like a eligent elderly black woman
no one should be dressing up as another race. people's races are not costumes. I see comments saying "this is art!" art can be racist. this is racist art/blackface and it's hateful even if it didnt have bad "intent". you can hurt others even if u did not "intend" to. Dressing up as another race is wrong because how can any of us say race is a dress up game?? If she was transformed into like an older version of herself, that would be fine because we can all potentially become old ! If you are hung up on how "this isnt racist!" PLEASE take a moment to consider how it is. Learn and grow so that the next generation wont make mistakes like these please. We should never dress up as black people again. we did it for far too long. it is disrespectful and It's so messed up. think about this please.
You're overcompensating. Too sensitive. This is done with respect. People like you make too much out of things. Too afraid of offending. If someone is that delicate then they are a little too fragile. Just ask all the other black people on here that are ok with it. Black strong and secure people appreciate the talent needed to do this.
This was an amazing transformation but unfortunately it's not accurate to black features. My main issue here is how old they made that woman look. Black women don't age in the same way as other women. A 70 year old black woman would have the same age lines as a 40 or 50 year old white woman. By guessing, I'd have to say this "black woman" was 199 years old when it's obvious the artists were shooting for 70-80ish. It's like they age progressed a white woman, painted her skin brown, plastered on a fake nose and called it a day. If that's the case, that lack of care for their subject is offensive. They should've researched elderly black women better. Otherwise this could be seen as a mockery.
As a black woman this is the stupidest comment I've read in quite some time. How on earth did they make her look 199? She looked like many black women I know in the 70 age range. As a matter of fact she looked a lot like CCH Pounder with white hair only aged maybe 10 or 15 years. I read your comment before I watched the video so I expected something overly dramatic and what I saw seemed pretty accurate to me.
angelic9889 You know what's mockery, your idiotic profile picture of a distorted black women with a huge nose. Now THAT'S mockery you idiot. You can't seriously be generalizing how a WHOLE EFFIN RACE ages right? I don't think anyone can be that ignorant and imbecilic. Aging doesn't have to do with a race but rather, a whole slew of different factors including diet, sun exposure, genetics, bone structure etc. In fact, this woman looks like every other old black women I have seen. Stop generalizing.
What's the difference between an african american and an african african? Also are white people in africa called american africans? Maybe we should just call people what they are instead of that Newspeak language.
We are called both, black or African Americans. Black is just an overall term of every person of African descent, same as white. If you want to go into detail, than German American or Scottish American and African American.
No Pokeslayer187, "african american" is a bullshit term because africa is a continent, not a country!!! the fucking term doesn't even make sense. you don't call an american moving to europe a "north american european", do you?? NO.
If they did this reversed I wouldn't fucking care to be completely honest. I don't know why people get so fucking worked up. It's fucking makeup and special fx for wrinkles and shit. Who fucking cares the world is so fucking petty now days.
EliteCitrus what if she was a senior? if she is a model she might know how to look young even when she isn't ? and she looks pretty old to me...............
Natalie Backstrom it's not as impactful because she's not a senior yet. she couldn't have just been transformed into a black woman? this is why i hate these transformations...
they might just want to show that they can make you into anything they want and why is it bad to make her into an old person? even if it's black? if they turned her into a white old person you wouldn't care but then she became a black old person you react? it's not bad nor is it good. it's not racist nor is it not (i don't mean you are racist but alot of people think like that). just cause they picked something that was older then her and changed her skin it's bad? why?
Dunno what an african american woman is supposed to look like (that's a pretty diverse category of people) but this woman could pass as a black old lady in my world. :)
to all negative people, they never said how old she was going to look they just said they were making her into a "old black woman" and they had to apply a nose piece because blacks and whites faces age differently. personally i love this type of theatrical make up it takes guts to change into some one totally different but its another story to change your skin tone and become a different race.
I don't understand why this is racist but the other way around is fine. Cause I just watched a different one where it was the other way around and nobody called it racist....please stop. It doesn't matter we are all the same tbh so idk how either would be racist, it's an experiment kay. So don't call either racist cause honestly it's not, it's just for fun
Just because yall don't think it is racist ... doesn't mean it isn't .... just because you didn't see any of the negative comments for the other video... doesn't mean no one said anything when is was reversed... I can't say whether or not I think it's racist... because I honestly didn't care... but I think you should be able to understand why some may believe it is... look up the history of black face... think about how black people may have felt then... how humiliating it was... and it still is for us sometimes.... I get you may not have experienced certain things.. so you may not be able to empathize with us.. But I do think you should understand that different experiences fuel different reactions.... good day....
he said character makeup. if you want an african american character why not just hire a a older African american woman? I assume this is supposed to be transforming someone into something completely different to show the incredible work this man can do (I work in theatre with FX makeup and costuming so I understand the amount of time and work that goes into this) but why does she have to be black? Why not just an old woman? As a black woman myself I just feel like while it is fun and cool to see such a drastic transformation. I live my life everyday feeling like I already am judged just because of my skin, that I don't fit in regardless of my likes etc because my hair is different, that I can't and don't feel comfortable or safe doing some of the same things my white college friends can get away with doing because if something were to happen I might be more likely to get in trouble because I'm black and easier to pick out. While I can't really say this is blackface (it kinda is) it does make me sad to know that while this transformation did happen that at the end of the day she'll be able to go home and take all of it off. That I as a black woman has spent my childhood wishing I could have been lighter, with straighter hair and a skinner nose.
Marque Kander They didn't use a black model because just making them model appear older wouldn't be as impressive as a complete race change. There are other videos on youtube of artists using prosthetics to make black models appear white. They're just trying to show the limits of their product so they can sell to consumers.
+Renae Abernathy looking at your profile pic you are not black. People like you fucking annoy me because you will never understand why we would question this video. So shut the hell up. Bye.
that's some makeup skills
I can't even put mascara on correctly
same
I can't even get the massacre cap off..

I don't really mind, I often go out without any make up :) But I would like to use make up right, that's be pretty cool. Unfortunetly I'm too broke and too lazy to practise x'D

This is honestly amazing!! It's not racist and that's coming from a black person✌️✌️
Fantastic work! This is not racist,im black and i dont think so at all. Just great work
I completely agree. Some people are overreacting.
Yes! Calling this racist is absolutely ridiculous.
JAZ B yeah,Some people call racism on things that it shouldnt be called on just because theyre too sensitive to certain things
***** unless i just got a really bad tan im pretty sure im black. And just because i dont think this is fucking racist doesnt mean im not black.

lol
so Rachael dolezal??
Looks like you.
I'm not black. It's pretty obvious.
lol
I've been waiting for a reverse of that Black to White French video! I wish they would've done the makeup to suit her age.
Hannah Maris Me too. I watched the black to white French video and wanted to see the process the other way around.
+Hannah Maris Actually, in the original documentary, they do transform a white family into a black family as well as the black to white one.
Heartbeat9 I couldn't find it on RUclips. Do you know the name of the documentary?
+Heartbeat9 hey if u know the name of that document post so I can see it as well thanks
+marsha “missmaww” moore +Hannah Maris It's Dans la peau d'un noir. :-)
If this were a black lady turned into a senior white lady, nobody would have a problem with it - and it's the same concept! Some people just can't appreciate these amazing makeup skills.
Obviously, because "white face" isn't a thing!
I hope that's not what they think African American old lady's look like
Some do look like that.
sure do
and black don't crack either🌜 my aunt looks somewhat like that
What? Why wouldn't black women look like this?
They do look like this what are you talking about trying to find something negative to say
Talayeh Bryant yeah cause old black ladies all look the exact same

Looks beautiful right at the beginning and right at the end!
So cool to see how makeup and prosthetics are advancing all the time!
so true ! and somehow the only comment without the word race etc.. 😂😯
Ok so done with the black face comments. I am not associating with black people who are so insecure in their identity as a black person that they feel threatened by an awesome make-up job...
So good to see someone think this way!
we need more people in this world like you
how does pointing out a racist act mean insecurity
jo mama I don't think this video involved any racist acts...but that's up for debate..but I completely agree with on th point of how does pointing out racist act mean insecurity? I'm with you girl 👍🏾
I actually liked it.
Freak.
I liked it too. It was interesting to see how far makeup has come and how skilled people are at it.

I come to these videos so I can scroll down and read the racist, hateful and stupid comments. It is better than any comedy cause this is real!!!!
Me too.. o.o
me too! hahaha
Omg Me too 😂😂
...Why??? Character makeup or not, this is literally just blackface.
I agree
K Hun It looked better before they used the sponge makeup. When they first applied the prosthetic it looked much more realistic.
K Hun Blackface is the discrimination of black people by making themselves up in a disrespectful way and acting in a matter that is degrading and derogatory to the african american race. This formed when in the early 1900s, white people would make their whole face black and put on red, clown-like lipstick and do things like barking like a dog to mimic and make fun of black people. How?.. You're an idiot for thinking so.
Class And Grace Chill the hell out James Dean
I don't think this is blackface because they're not intentionally trying to be racist, she's portraying a character. But couldn't they find an old black lady? This is too much effort unless this character actually goes through this transformation for some reason. I'm not offended, I'd just like to know why they're being so extra lol
Clearly you're offended. "Couldn't they find an old black lady?" That's literally the entire point of the video. It's called a makeup transformation for a reason.
nooo blackface dont mean it was intentional. If i.. you know what forget it.
although i see what your saying. there is a huge problem in the movie industry with this. This isn';t what this video's about, but there are cases when whites are cast for black roles instead of actual black people. While there are tons of qualified black actors to play the parts. Example the nina Simone movie. They black faced a light complexion actress to play a dark complexion singer little did they know the late singer Nina Simone to faught against colorism (kinda like racism ,but focuses on the meaning of complexion within the black community) ex dark women being made to feel ugly by lighter black women or the standard of complexions set in place by society
but race isn't a character
blackface isn't always intentionally racist. It's just the history of it that makes it so awful and the fact that someone's race isn't a costume so when they get to go take it off at the end of the day and be a privileged white person, all of the black people dont. It's just not right, so yeah they could've used a black woman and it would've been so much better
I love seeing the comments here can't people just watch it for what it is rather than it being a black and white issue, we are all the same ..
It’s sickening to see that y’all condone this bs
Smh.. this is why you should always take women swimming on the first date.
FATCATS it was a joke lol
This is ridiculous. The black face is UNREAL
you're stupid. it's not even black face fuck off
so its white face? stop being so politically correct.
+famule peterson it's literally blackface. real obvious, intended blackface
do you even know the damn definition of blackface? no you do not.
famule peterson
do you understand how blackface has adapted and is still offensive in today's social context? no you do not.
she looks like Wyborn's grandma from Coraline
TurtleBunBuns OMG she does lol
TurtleBunBuns I FLATLINED
oHMYGOD
Yasss.
TurtleBunBuns dude 😂
This isn't racist.. it's not making fun of black people in any way
You are dumb AF
@@kumarij.432 wait that's offensive tho
@@stoicazoo7845 what?
It isnt intentionally- there is just a lot of history
Most of y'all saying it's racist aren't even black 😂😂I'm black and not offended at all. Black people do this too calm down
Meyhanna Cooper just because black people do it too, doesn't mean it's not racist, and just because you're not personally offended doesn't make it okay.
Drag ha yassss.
The only reason why you are saying this is because you are ignorant on this subject. Dont even try...
I bet she won't drive home wearing this getup.
@@rileyday5634 it doesn't mean it's racist or offensive neither. If you are going to say, as a white person, that it's racist you have to explain why at least, or your opinion is just irrelevant
I wish there was a video like the French video of a family of three doing black to white but I can't find one. Of anyone knows of a good one for white to black plz tell me!
there is i cant find it either :(
Black and White. it was produced by Ice cube
I was going to say Black and White as well.
"White Chicks" a movie about two black cops made up as two blonde girls.
Robert Downey, Jr. plays a black soldier in the movie "Tropic Thunder" .....
Dopeeeeeee ! But hwy do ppl think that we ALL have big noses ? her nose could have been fine !
Yrrab nesjen I don't have a wide nose so don't what you talking about just saying
You're right we don't all have big noses but we generally have wider nose bridges and that's really nothing to be ashamed of lol!
Black people generally have wider noses, bigger nostrils and thicker lips.
generally most older ppl have larger noses in every race because our noses, ears, and feet are the last to stop growing. However, Africans do typically have wider noses because of the origin if which they reside. African American however, have variation because of the cooler climate, and our ancestors being raped by caucasianoids.
Well what's wrong with having a big nose?
The double standards in this world... I was watching black-white video and people were screaming how racist and rude it was. But white-black is perfectly fine and amazing, in fact some people say it's beautiful. Why can't we all be equal and caring for one another?
Thtat's the point to be racist, and we all are) Some part, may be little, but we are)
How the fuck is either racist? It's the same idea as doing special effects makeup to look like an alien, or a monster, or like you have a huge gash in your face. Making the person look like they're something that they're not. It's really cool in my opinion, both ways, seeing how the people change with skilled makeup artists and in no way is any of it racist.
She wasn't white and double standards will always exist get over it you clearly don't understand black suppression
Biggest Potterhead Actually, I watched a black-white video and people were still screaming racist. I think people just like screaming that. Best to ignore it and not feed the trolls.
Videos posted at different times
amazing transformation! well done guys!
*hi boo*
She looks more Indian than African American
Nahhh thats not how indian old people look like :)
ilhem shajiri I know right
then why did u say it lol
black people did the exact same thing and nobody said it was racist lol
mr robot when?
look it up on youtube
mr robot telling me to "look it up" does not justify your "fact." reverse racism doesn't exist.
please show me proof of black people doing this and no one saying anything of it. if you cant, don't complain about something that doesn't exist.
just fucking look it up jesus fucking christ. don't be so lazy. is it so hard to search for "black into white transformation" on youtube???
makeup is probably one of the coolest things ever.
Good makeup
They did a good job...the end result looks realistic.
she looks like a nice old lady
Helleborne B. Just stop.
Im black and i approve this messege lol this is great work
But Black people transformed into White people and no one batted an eye? In my opinion both transformations weren't racist because no one was being stereotypical. This lady wasn't mocking Black people, and her features weren't over exaggerated. I find it pretty cool actually, even if she doesn't look Black. It was fun to watch.
Racism has literally nothing to do with stereotypes.
They transformed her into a beautiful African American elder woman.
I really gotta hand it to makeup artists. If they can successfully imitate a look for a character of a completely different race, then they seriously have a lot of skill and pay a lot of attention to detail.
It's amazing, really.
"African American" or just black lol you can't really tell the difference until the person starts talking
Everyone keeps saying people are complaining about race but I haven't seen one comment where someone calls this blackface or anything
Do you have trouble reading or?
really? Because I've seen at least 5 or 6 within the past few minutes.
I haven't seen one comment about race(: I don't have trouble reading I just don't see one.
That's odd. I have seen several.
Maybe I'm just not look hard enough I guess
this was posted in 2011 when people were not butthurg and offended over every thing.
wow amazing
ok but what was the point of this
To show how far prosthetics and makeup has come? Girl i think it's self explanatory in the title. It's a Transformation video, nothing more nothing less.
Nia Evans What’s the point of a painting, a song or a novel? Answer: it’s art! The make up artists here are demonstrating an amazing skill!
She looks like Zoe Saldana as nina Simone.
Who had this bright idea and thought it was a good one
This is amazing. They transformed her into a gorgeous older African American woman. Incredible skills.
This is an incredible makeup job. People lighten up a bit. This is artistry. Whether the transformation is black to white or white to black. Disregard the color and look at the talent. This is NOT black face. Look up your history.
"Black" people born in the US should be called Americans. If you have to be specific, say brown skinned.
bill bye says everyone is brown
nye* fucking autocorrect doesn't know BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL SCIENCE RULES
***** Same goes for that. Nationality, then description.
She needed eyebrows. But also I thought this might be for a social experiment or something.
This is not racist. There's a difference between this and blackface
You all gotta stop all this hatin an get along
hun i don't think anyones hatin here lol just discussing .
It's not funny it's not lol people are being extremely rude it's not lol.
that made her old
If many of yall didn't read it says SENIOR, they're not making fun of Africans... They're making an older African. This wasn't meant to be directed to racism.. It was for the purpose of makeup and effect..
I like that idea if someone's an actor they could be versatile to play any role with makeup.
Interesting point- but it is not really the way it tends to work. The point that it is just acting is very valid and makes a ton of sense... but if you could hire a black actor... there are plenty that get shut out of Shakesperian and such roles... why bother with the makeup
wow they're really good
Aaaaaand my point has been proven.
Wow! The makeup artist did an amazing job! He's good at what he does.
no one should be dressing up as another race. people's races are not costumes.
Each individual ages differently. Even you may age slowly or faster than other people based on your daily lifestyle and the genes.
And I have never seen a 100 year old black woman that looks that good.
I got to be honest, it is very good makeup. She reminds me of my great grandmother who is still living btw.
What's the difference between an african american and an african african? Also are white people in africa called american africans?
Maybe we should just call people what they are instead of that Newspeak language.
no...white people in Africa are called white people...
So why are black people in america not called black people?
We are called both, black or African Americans. Black is just an overall term of every person of African descent, same as white. If you want to go into detail, than German American or Scottish American and African American.
thank you.
No Pokeslayer187, "african american" is a bullshit term because africa is a continent, not a country!!! the fucking term doesn't even make sense. you don't call an american moving to europe a "north american european", do you?? NO.
Beautiful black old woman.
PLS take my advice and deactivate the comments!!!!
She honestly looks like a beautiful older woman. Hope I look like her someday!
If they needed a black old lady, why didn't they cast actual black old ladies? I don't understand.
If they did this reversed I wouldn't fucking care to be completely honest. I don't know why people get so fucking worked up. It's fucking makeup and special fx for wrinkles and shit. Who fucking cares the world is so fucking petty now days.
i dont care what people as long as they dont call me c!nt im fine
why did she have to be a senior though
Just to make it as extreme as possible I bet
Lily Ellis they should have just kept her real age so it's like nothing's changed but her race...
EliteCitrus what if she was a senior? if she is a model she might know how to look young even when she isn't ? and she looks pretty old to me...............
Natalie Backstrom it's not as impactful because she's not a senior yet. she couldn't have just been transformed into a black woman? this is why i hate these transformations...
they might just want to show that they can make you into anything they want and why is it bad to make her into an old person? even if it's black? if they turned her into a white old person you wouldn't care but then she became a black old person you react? it's not bad nor is it good. it's not racist nor is it not (i don't mean you are racist but alot of people think like that). just cause they picked something that was older then her and changed her skin it's bad? why?
the makeup turned out pretty good in my opinion, idk why so many people thinks that it's shit??
Cuz "racism"... Yeah, I dunno either. *Shrugs*
So cool. Makeup is so awesome. I bet they had a lot of fun with that
shes a pretty old woman!
wow its so cool with what they can do with makeup.
Why didn't they just they just "transform" an actual African American person into an 'African American Senior Citizen'?
why didn't they show a mirror reaction clip
"Here eyes are a little too white too *laughs*" ..... yea ok....
Did you even see the white lines under the eyes that they didn't manage to cover immediately? That's the 'white' he meant.
***** If you look at the whites around the irises of older people they have a yellow tint, I believe that is what he meant.
I think he meant her eyeballs .. Most old ppls eyes are a more off white maybe some spots ... hers lookd to clear/white and young like
You do realise that across races, eye size and shape varies.
Great job but she doesn't look like an African American.
she looks like an old lady xD
yeah ;) Anna Herbstritt
Dunno what an african american woman is supposed to look like (that's a pretty diverse category of people) but this woman could pass as a black old lady in my world. :)
Amazing and incredible work. This shows that with enough makeup, experience, and patience, you can truly be anything!
Well I didn't expect it to come out that good.
and tumblr is screaming
omg.. I wanna try to go do this! for white look, orient look and a black look. I'm Eurasian lol :P so i dont really belong anywhere
Pretty mix what Eurasian mixes ?
I'm a mix of: Dutch, Italian, Indonesian, Chinese and French :D
NumbTrustRiots You got it all wrong dear :) you are one of the few that belong everywhere.
NumbTrustRiots You actually belong in both, not nowhere.
***** Me too! Really funny, but it's usually instacrush
I find it funny how the guy said that he didn't want to put a mask on the because it would look too "maskey".😂😂
Pretty grandma! 👵🏽 😘 i found this is fun to try how will we look like as other characters👍
They could've given maw maw some more hair
WOW!!!!
This is pretty much amazing, dude. Can't believe how good it is!
to all negative people,
they never said how old she was going to look they just said they were making her into a "old black woman" and they had to apply a nose piece because blacks and whites faces age differently. personally i love this type of theatrical make up it takes guts to change into some one totally different but its another story to change your skin tone and become a different race.
Wow these guys know their craft
May I ask what the reason was behind this makeup transformation? Was is a photoshoot?
This is an amazing transformation!
That looks way too real
I don't understand why this is racist but the other way around is fine. Cause I just watched a different one where it was the other way around and nobody called it racist....please stop. It doesn't matter we are all the same tbh so idk how either would be racist, it's an experiment kay. So don't call either racist cause honestly it's not, it's just for fun
Because all black people watch too much T.V. So, they are indoctrinated to be racist.
I want to be a model and change some of my feature to see how different I could look?
please tell me how you are using an airbrush???
he said character makeup. if you want an african american character why not just hire a a older African american woman?
Kayla C. Omg tRigGeReD they made a girl a different skin tone so that affects me omg so offended omg discriminating omg I take things to the heart omg
what was the point of this..
Why're you asking? Are you triggered or can't get over slavery? Stupid bitch.
Marque Kander They didn't use a black model because just making them model appear older wouldn't be as impressive as a complete race change. There are other videos on youtube of artists using prosthetics to make black models appear white. They're just trying to show the limits of their product so they can sell to consumers.
there was literally no need to change skin tone to show "talent." there is no talent in being racist and doing black face.
they did the exact same thing except turning black people into white I think I saw it somewhere on RUclips
+Renae Abernathy looking at your profile pic you are not black. People like you fucking annoy me because you will never understand why we would question this video. So shut the hell up. Bye.
Do y’all teach classes on how to do this I would like to learn I’m a make up artist
whats the end point of this video>? was just to show the art (they did a great job she looked great and realistic) but is it for a test?
time to take some blood pressure medicine lol
