    I've seen many a cartoon in my 73 years but the one that has always stuck with me through the decades is this one THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE. Back in the days cartoons taught life's lessons and entertained; nowadays they try to entice kids to buy stuff.

    I don't really think the moral is "slow and steady wins the race" I feel like it is a message to the kids watching is to stay on task and do your job right

    • @ELFanatic
      @ELFanatic 5 лет назад +11

      That's pretty much what slow and steady means. Being fast can lead to mistakes and complacency. being slow and steady keeps you on task and focused. Slow and steady doesn't actually mean that running slower will win against someone faster, just that you stay concentrated on your task.

    The reason I watched this is because Dave Ramsey the Finanical Guru told about a Billioniare who read this to his children and grandchildren over and over. Slow and Steady is the name of the game and bring focused. I'd say this Billionaire is pretty smart. Another thing is don't compare yourself with other people because in doing so it is not wise. I also watched the Walt Disney Story. He was an exceptional man. I highly recommend watching it.

    So the lesson isn't really about being consistent (slow and steady wins the race) although that is important, but is more to do with your motivation for success. If it revolves entirely around public acceptance, if you disregard your talent and the need to improve then you are bound to struggle.

      Kim Kelly HAHA, you know I'm right. If a person, who can't swim, beat Gold Medalist, Michael Phelps, because he was screwing around and playing games in the pool. That' not a win, because that person really can't swim. At the end of the day, if you were a swimmer, who would you rather be, Gold Medalist, Michael Phelps or the person who don't even own a pair of swim trunks?

      Question: Who is The US Government - Answer: They Train, Arm and Finance Terrorist Groups? Life is about focusing on the matter at hand at any given time. You have free time? Perfect, you can play tennis, take a nap, show off to fans, whatever.
      You have to compete in a run? Finish the damn race. Literally. Cross the finish line and then you can celebrate. Not before.

      You're missing the point of "slow and steady" I think it shows us by rushing into something too fast, it may cost us to "lose the race"
