    I own a Ranson Eride 910 and its F...king amazing.
    After testing my bike Six friends bought 2022 Ransom Eride 920 which is much better specd than the 2021 you tested.
    If Scott would of sent you the 2022 version I think you would of probably named the winner of this shootout today. :-)

    Crazy good value from a bike you can get service and warranty work from at a local shop. Plus, they're running a Bosch motor which is always a plus in my book. I think for a little more the 910 with a fox 38 and XT brakes would be my choice, what's another night of stripping at the old folks home to get the bike you really want

I'm 6'2" (wear 32" inseam jeans), and chose the Large and couldn't be happier. My other bike is a Pole Evolink, so looong reach, but I'm loving the Scott. Thanks to the tester's enthusiasm both here and the round table, I believe I've made an informed choice. I got the same bike, but changed to 170mm Zeb at the front already. Stock FOX 36 is at its lowest end - Rythm version, which sucks and it is not easly upgradeable. After this upgrade the bike is much more alive, has tons of mid stroke support and goes much better downhill. Going up is sacrificed though.

      This is a Class 1 eMTB, it won't make any speed without pedaling because there is not throttle. We only test pedal-assist electric mountain bikes, not Class 2 or Class 3 ones, which are more like motorized cycles that have throttles to ways to ride without pedaling. Hope that helps.

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  2 года назад +3

      Two major reasons are: people who want these, are mountain bikers who enjoy pedaling, second reason is SurRon are not legal on mountain bike trails and are likely going to be facing major major pushbacks in terms of law/licensing due to reckless, speeding riders and many accidents that are taking place on and off road with unskilled riders riding places they shouldn’t be at high speeds.

      @@TheLoamWolf for the exercise reason, yes of course. For the legality, good luck banning the Surron. I’m sure some smaller/private trails might be able to do something about it, but for the majority of the world it blends in with everything else. Even the noise of it, if other eMTBs are allowed it won’t draw attention either. I get that there are technically rules written around this, but they aren’t (or at least are difficult to) enforce.
