it's great - but the noise level makes it unusable for my usecase. i wonder what you think about the "neewer ER-1" - it lacks the option for a tilt and the pan is only mechanically adjustable so to speak, but it comes at a much lower price point (currently 280$ on black friday). also, so far all the reviews i've checked show that it's virtually silent even up to 90% speed, which makes it much better for interview situations.
forgot to mention in prev comment: THANKS for putting together a legit video/review on this. Most of the other reveiws are pretty fluffy and do not address the specifics of this slider, nor mention any of the shortcomings. good on you for presenting some objective info here that's invaluable to the everyday working shooter. 👌
Thanks! This review actually took forever to make, there were so many different things to test. Then I would message Zeapon and they would update things or tell me to download new firmware. It was a lot of time and work, but these are the tests I'd want to know before taking this to a client shoot and looking like I didn't know what I was doing because my slider had some shake at the beginning/end - or was loud when going too fast, you know? Testing things is time-consuming, but important to not sugar coat things. Thanks again for the kind words
On a7cII and 100cm Zeaopn Axis im getting little shaked footages too often - and its not "start and end" its all length of the video. Its sometime more noticeable and sometime - not very. And Stedy shot enabled on camera buts it not help - its just miracle. Slider cant make too big swing but result is broken all the time. 100% speed of slider its pretty slow, absolutely dont have room for run faster if its need. Only by hand with not smooth result. Good things about its - buil quality fills pretty solid, and easy un-belt feature very helpful for me.
really suprised to see how rough the footage is SOOC. lot to love about this slider and it's features, but wow some of that raw footage looked pretty rough and unpredictable.
Yeah, it has some shake at the beginning/end of the slides or if you overload the slider. If you slide slower, it's quieter and has better results in the center of the slides. That wont be a big deal for some people, but for others it's a deal breaker. Just depends on what you need
I have the zeapon micro 3 motorized slider which is phenomenal. I don't have the Pons Motorized pin and tilt head unit. they went over $500 over for that. but I think it will be worth it to get. But I really am happy with the app and can set points to move back and forth. I have to get a more stable tripod. Then the one I already had. now. It is nice and solid and I get no shakes in my video
I like the app for remote or slides in tight spaces, but I found myself using the controls on the back of the slider pretty often. I havent used the micro 3, I'll have to look into that one
Thank you for the review! I was hoping to see improvements like start - end ramps what I am missing with my micro3 slider as well. Can’t understand why Zeapon does not implement this, as it’s important to avoid shakes. Also waiting for a focus module that still is „announced“ as function in the app. But seems to not come. I have tested the highspeed motor and was shocked about it can only work horizontally and the power is so less that even a heavier setup was not moved successfully horizontally. A good building quality for a slider is not all @Zeapon
Thanks for the kind words! I think adding end ramps would be a great addition and seems like something that can be done via firmware. Would love to see that!
Wait... is there a higher speed motor to be sold in this packet? Can you share more about this? This is high on my priority list. How fast and what payload?
The shakes are noticeable at the beginning and end of the slides, and for some shots like looping interviews that may be a deal breaker. For macro shots or one-off slides this was easy to get around, I just made the slide longer that I needed it to be and chopped off the beginning and end of the clip in post. But glad to share my test results
I own the zeapon micro 2 camera slider and it is belt driven. It's about 16 inches long but it travels 30 inches from side to side motorized. And I have put some serious weight on that slider and there was no shakes whatsoever in the video. I don't know how long of a slider you're looking to get but I've been really happy with mine.
This slider seems like a good price point and features for for videographers and content creators, what do you think of the Zeapon Axis?

Is this model better than micro 3? these 2 models are so confusing, which one is better?
Thanks for the honest review of this slider!
You're welcome - glad to help out!

The noise comes from the third axis or the base?
The base, I testes out the tilt axis for shakes/noise and the nose is coming from the motors that are on the rails of the slider
Thank you @@keith-knittel
Nice review!!
Thanks!
Wow just cancelled my order. Those shakes are a deal breaker
