  • In this episode the boat heads into Glacier Bay. Technically it is a sea day but the boat has a park ranger come on board and talk all about Glacier Bay, which is a National Park and is only accessible by water!

    Seeing those beautiful glaciers in person is definitely a bucket list item for me. Absolutely beautiful

      The pictures and video don't do it justice. The colors are so vibrant, the sound when it crashes is like a thunderstorm and the air is so crisp and clean.

      Thank you. While we can’t guarantee the weather will be as nice as ours, the views and landscape are amazing to see in person. The vlog doesn’t do it justice.

      It is probably our favorite cruise line as well. We will be going on a couple other lines this year but literally just got done booking our next NCL cruise for Feb on the Prima.
      If you want to follow along, we would appreciate it if you could subscribe.
      Hope you have a great week!

    Do you remember what time of day the boat left Glacier Bay? We are planning a wedding in the boat that day and curious how long well have those amazing views.

      Congratulations! What an epic backdrop!!! I would guess it depends on weather a little and how many they are able to stop at. We were just there at the end of September (another video about Glacier Bay coming out on Wednesday) and we were able to stop at 2 different glaciers. I think (based off my phone pics) we let around 12-1ish. But when we were there in May 2022 I think we might have only done one. And looks like we left around 1 o’clock that time!

    Love your videos, going on the same cruise on Sunday!!! When were you guys on it? Any tips?

    • @lindsayslivealittle
      @lindsayslivealittle  2 года назад +1

      So exciting! Hope you have a fantastic time! We were there in mid May! By biggest tips would probably be for Glacier Bay! Get up and try and find a spot inside or outside! The views are AMAZING! The boat rotates so you will see everything no matter where you set up. If you have a short time in Ketchikan like we did (next week’s episode) try to do the earliest possible excursion. It’s a good 20 min drive from port to town and if you want to explore town you don’t have too much time! And most importantly get out and live a little and have an AMAZING time!

      One other thing I thought of. Definitely try and see Choir of Men! And if you can get seats towards the front it’s worth it!

    What room were you in? Just booked a for 11700. Front of the ship. Kinda looks like where you guys are.

    • @lindsayslivealittle
      @lindsayslivealittle  2 года назад +2

      We were in room 12706. I believe it is just the opposite side of the ship and 1 floor up from what you book.
      We loved the room and would definitely book that room again.
      We hope you enjoy your trip and if you have any questions while planning let’s us know.

    Are there any excursions you can take to the glaciers?

    • @lindsayslivealittle
      @lindsayslivealittle  Год назад

      Some cruise lines offer a tender or partner boat that is much smaller and will take you closer to the glaciers. Our ship was probably a quarter mile to half a mile away from the glacier but the small tenders can take you up close and personal with the face of the glacier.
      At other ports, they do offer land or helicopter excursions to the glacier. Those typically include a small hike on the glacier.
      In our Seward video, you can get a glimpse of what to expect from a helicopter tour.
      It can be pricey and I would suggest shopping around for both cruise sponsored as well as non-cruise affiliated tours.
      Let us know if you have any questions when you are looking at options.
      Hope you enjoy the rest of our vlog

    Awesome ! I bet the views on video don’t do it justice.. the stunt food “ fruit sushi “ did look wack 😐

      @lindsayslivealittle  2 года назад +1

      The vlogs don’t do it justice at all and is definitely worth seeing in person.
      “Fruit sushi” must have been a marketing interns naming because it was nothing like what we expected.

      We traveled in mid May. And we would highly suggest that timing. It is in between the snowy and rainy seasons.
