God has a plan
Thank you. I'm doing a study of Nehemiah with my Sunday school class and to set it up for them, I've studied Isaiah, 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Haggai as well. It's a fascinating study to read of Cyrus first as prophecy and then as history.

Blessed be the Lord who is always true to His words.
Hooray! It's taken almost a year, but I have made it to the book of Ezra, studying alone with you for almost a year now.
Thank you, Pastor Paul. You make these ancient teachings come to life today. Oh, how quickly we humans slide back to life apart from the One True God. Idolatry, legalism and the consequences of our sin sets the stage for our redemption and New Identity in Christ Jesus. May we rededicate our lives as we journey through the earthly restoration in Ezra and Nehemiah.

6/11/21 started Bible studies!
This message was so meaningful. I loved the part about Cyrus being mentioned in the OT prophecies even before he was born, as well as the part about God stirring peoples' hearts to accomplish His purposes. The mourning for that which was lost due to neglect, rebellion - wow. So heartbreakingly true. True in our individual lives but also a future truth for Israel, when they finally recognize Jesus as Messiah and weep. Thank you, Pastor Paul.

This sermon was really clarifying. Thank you. One thing I wonder, Daniël read the words of Jeremiah when Darius was king. The Israelites were already back in Jeruzalem for 18 years by then, or am I wrong?
