- Today I am updating you on the progress of our French property. We are making plans to start work on the main house and in particular the kitchen. We can't wait to get started and here's a sneak peak at what we have planned.

I’ve been patiently waiting for an update on France…. I am enthralled with the (your) property. The buildings, the landscape, the church bells, the blue skies, the history, the sheer beauty of your dream. I applaud your vision, your energy, will be here to witness it all….in my next life, I’m thinking about being you 😅😘

It’s in a courtyard set up. So it’s not massive but it’s enough 🙂

Love all your ideas so far .I don’t know if you follow Parisian Farmgirl but she’s doing her kitchen unfitted style ,she’s painting her own “ Delpht”tiles .Shes putting terracotta tiles on the floor.I know you will do a great job x

What a marvelous adventure! I love an unfitted kitchen, had one in my last house, a 1908 craftsman. I'd give my eyeteeth to have one now, & I'm sure yours will be fabulous!

I love watching your journey and cannot wait to see the final result of your renovations. It is silly that I still want to explore with people renovating like that I am about to do the same. I did watch many programs and studied renovation magazines for years before we made our own house. Twice. LOL. But who knows, maybe new project will come from somewhere so I am looking and still learning. I have an idea for you about splashback tiles: lately everyone is going with blue and white Delft style tiles like that they are the only ones really 'French' while they are Dutch..!.You are right, nothing wrong with blue and white, but it sort of influences the rest of a decor. I know that very French tiles that I love (LOVE) like many things from the same period are just 120 years old and you are maybe looking for something earlier... but Art Nouveau tiles, lamps, glassware, fireplace cast iron surrounds.. are just so beautiful. I am adding a link to Pinterest page with pictures of my kitchen fitted with some of art nouveau tiles that I collected ..They are of different thickness and mostly about 15 x 15 cm and I combined them with plane cream/bisque coloured one in matt and gloss finish (that I was so lucky to find!) so that they do not overpower. Maybe this will inspire to make your third kitchen a bit different..? I cannot wait to see you come back and carry on with reno.. (It’s addictive as I think you know). I love the ideas you have given me. I have done navy and I honestly think I will be leaning towards the art deco look. The house will tell me what it wants when we begin (it sounds silly but I think you know what I mean ) thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you as my Reno continues 🥰❤️
You have all the elements of what I've imagined of a rustic Parisian farm 🏠😊 It was a nice and unexpected surprise seeing the pool, which I love because I love to swim. I cannot wait to see the finished kitchen. I really like the ones at 9:56, 10:44, 11:48, 11:55 and 14:26. I always imagined some kind of brick or terracotta floor. I liked that gleaming white tile also Lyn. I know the vines can sometimes cause damage, but Im secretly hoping you can find a way to keep the look of some vines overgrowing. How lovely it's going to be drinking 🍵 or ☕ or lemonade early mornings 🌅 and hot summer afternoons when you build the new deck. 🏡 🍾 🍷 🧀 🥖 🍇 🍰 😍
It’s has such great bones and its history will definitely dictate the decor 😊

Really enjoyed this update on your home in France. Very exited to follow the progression. I love your ideas for the kitchen but like you, i would have a hard time decision making. Sadly, all your options are well suited for the space and would look equally lovely. Seeing what you have done in the past in your other homes you have shared with us, i know it will be amazing and inspirational!
