His passive gives him 30% damage reduction, then his stance at rank 1 (it’s the same as green Queen Diane) lasts 2 turns and gives 40% damage reduction, and he gets 30% crit defense and crit resistance from his passive. His relic then gives I believe 30% damage reduction and 20% hp related stats, and then he gets damage reduction against Escanor since he’s red. He seems like he’ll be a brick wall.
I definitely didn't pick up on the stance skill. I thought it was the red ex arthur one so I wasnt super interested. But the Valentines Diane stance is good so maybe I'll like him once I use him.
The main question is his stats. He’s a base Chandler, and blue Chandler came out pre Purgatory Ban. They sometimes give new units that are same-named characters better stats than the original, but I don’t know how much they’ll improve said stats, and if his stats are mediocre, if all that damage reduction and stat buffing will be enough to make him still tank.
Well, a tank character doesn’t necessarily have to stall forever, they just have to stall one or two turns so the other characters can build up. Naofumi was meta for a bit, and Perceval too because they helped you survive one extra turn so that Arthur could get his passive. Giving an extra turn or two for Gelda to build up and Meli to get his attack buff could matter. And for the debuff thing, unless you’re fighting like a Transcendant Ban team or something, then Meli’s debuff removal will cleanse each turn.
With seasonals being Ur festivals now, imagine if the demon team made a comeback because we got a UR festival of a commandment in a swimsuit.

When I sit back and think about it going second and having a back line unit that tanks helps now we have choices to pick from for back line instead of 2 now we got three plus we just got done WITH 3 FESTIVALS BACK TO BACK so having a mid character is not bad I'm hoping after chandler we really get new r and sr characters
I would love some new R and SR units. Hopefully with the 4 Knights content we get some new ones.
Doesnt feel mid at all tbh in terms of passive. Skills wise yea but for what he does, in both PVP and Hero Arena (and maybe Guild Wars)...that damage reduction could be insane
Maybe so, gonna have to get my hands on him first.
It's a skip for me because of the summer event and rag fest, new Escanor seems like he is going to dominate pvp until he gets a hard counter, so there id no reason to waste gems

Considering he's red unit and has green Diane's taunt with his own passive increases 30% in crit res/crit def +30% damage reduction and his HR making him more tanky while stance. He'll make Demon/Gelda last much longer against Escanor to the point that Gelda could just get full 400K on her passive.
Sadly, the banner is straight ass.
OH I didn't even realize that was the same stance. I thought it was the red Excalibur Arthur stance.

I'm hoping the summer unit is a seasonal festival for the free rewards festivals give, but I'm also hoping it isn't because my god I do NOT wanna have to spend 900 gems for an anime girl in a swimsuit 💀Free rewards for more pity, or less pity but basically no free stuff?
I think another fest would be really bad right now. If we end up getting a collab in August then no one will have gems.

His stance has the symbol for ranged, even though it’s not a counter and thus doesn’t attack. Have they always listed non-counter stances as either ranged or melee and I just never noticed, or is this some kind of mistake?
I'm actually not sure on that. Never noticed myself.
