I totally agree with everything she said. I'm 18 and I took the CPE some weeks ago, it turned out I got a pass (207 overall). However, I scored 176 on the writing part which was pretty disappointing when I first saw it because I didn't feel like it went THAT atrociously. Like she said, the topics are dull and repetitive at points and there's essentially no way to impress the examiner as they've probably read it all. I used advanced vocab from your videos yet it didn't really make a difference. Anyway, I compensated with the other parts of the test. Finally, I should say, this girl has an astounding level! She def deserves the C2 to say the least. Great vid!👌 Edit: typo
Hello Ben, thank you for your new video. To my mind, Bella has a good mastery of the English language, with just a slight Spanish accent. The students you showed in your previous videos did not have such a good level of English, but despite that, they all managed to pass the C2 exam. After all, not everybody has a native English partner, teaches English on a daily basis and lived for a long time in England. :-)
Great insight into the exam, and this girl rocks ! Great fluency and also a not too shabby accent ! She most definitely deserved such a remarkable score!
I started watching these videos to get myself some motivation! I used to be C1 but after having taught in a school for almost 10 years, it seems to be my English got rusted 😢 and I don’t longer feel confident about it so I’m planning to study again and take the exam.
Wow! It's the only thought that comes to mind after watching this video. Awesome conversation and very helpful tips. I have to tell you that I am very proud of myself for being able to understand the whole conversation, with my humble B2 level. Thanks to both of you. ☺
Out of the other 47 last videos that I saw (I'm watching the entire list of Cambridge English exam tips. by the way) This was the most inspiring one. I just couldn't let pass the chance to comment my thoughts about it. I'm just an average Colombian guy who is passionate about languages: with 2 years worth of disorganize, but nevertheless, effective studies of English; 8 months of full-time immersion on the language; and who still has around 4 months of time for preparation before the B2 exam of the month of September arrives. I'm taking all of his way too seriously, I've even adopted a routine of 8 hours of intensive study of English per day. And although I still plan to stick with that routine, I can't deny that this video and the recommendations of Bella really helped me with my stress. I wanted to comment on these videos since a long time ago, but I didn't allow myself to do so until now. it's really relieving and motivating to finally being able to get out of my routine for a couple of minutes and express myself. As Mr. Ben said: "Consistency over intensity". (Sorry if I got it wrong). Anyways, I still have a mountain of work to do. so I better get back to it. Thank you Mr. Ben for these amazing videos. I know they'll be really useful when the big day comes. Take care.
I look up to you guys and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I've been studying hard to take the C1 exam but lately I found myself procrastinating a lot... but after this video, I feel motivated again with all those tips ❤️
I have failed the C1 and C2 exams (which was expected due to not studying at all for it) and this year I put in my mind I was going to do it again and pass it. So I've been preparing for C2 proficiency and after watching this I realised I've been doing it wrong all along! Thank you Ben and Bella. I just loved the tips. This video restored the hope I had long ago of passing the exam.
Talking from my experience I can say for sure that living in an English family in the UK, using English as a first language is not enough to achieve c1 level. I still have to watch lessons and do a hard work to expand my vocabulary. This is the mistake most immigrants like myself make, thinking that the language will improve by itself, however, it's not the case.. . You really need to work hard. I even read school material of my step daughter to boost my vocabulary. Lucky enough, my understanding of the language is at C1 level at least cause my wife loves to talk a lot 🤣
That's so true. For this type of exam, we need to study a lot. Ordinary English is not good enough (in this situation). Thanks for sharing your experiences with others, like me.
Thanks for this video. Bella is right, most english speakers will ask you why are we doing the C2 as they wont usually know the answers! I enjoyed this video, I hope it helps me get ready for C2 exam this year!
Hello Ben! One question: My English teachers say that the preparation book with sample practice tests is more difficult than the actual exam. Is that true?
She is an extremely interesting woman and you are right when you point her attitude!! Her tips are always useful, I'd like to prepare C1, what kind of books am I supposed to buy or what films or series on Netflix should I watch?? Thanks
"itis" is a common suffix used in medical contexts for certain diseases. Bella was using it in a metaphorical sense to refer to the idea that some people are unhealthily obsessed with degrees and certificates.
Hello teacher Ben, I am looking for getting to Job as an English teacher. I'm at the city now. If someone can recommend me websites in which I can teach English or Spanish let me know. My native language is Spanish.
hello, just a question Do I need to take PET, FCE exams before doing CAE? because I am studying English to become a translator ( Spanish - English) at the University but I'm not sure my English is good enough so I was thinking to do some of these exams...please help me. thank you.
English is much easlier spoken. All fun and games truly start when I need to start typing. English spelling is finicky. Drives me mad whenever I am not backed up by spell checker
Her not getting higher scores in the writing section only proves that sometimes it could be a better strategy (or tactics) to get rid that that snowflake attitude. And her claim that having a native English-speaking partner is an achievement somehow relevant to exam preparation? She sounds a bit arrogant to me.

Thanks, Ben for your useful suggestions. I'm preparing for the Cae exam in July so your videos are very stimulating to study more efficiently. Ciao

Glad you liked the interview 🙂
Those languages are tough.
4 Languages Ben. I was born in the 90s. You were a rebel teenager.
By the way, I subscribed to your channel yesterday. Have a pleasant Sunday, Ben!
Thank you both for sharing this💖
Hi , Ben ! Thank you for this video ! Thank you both , actually ! For me was useful and encouraging. 💪
Glad you found it useful, Emilia 🙂
I'm so glad I found your channel. It's brilliant 👏 I'm very lucky to be your subscriber.
Yes, very interesting, although i'm not sure of the name of the serie Bella was referring to the Wisher...? Thanks a lot
It was a great lesson!!!
Amazing interview!
Hello Ben! One question: My English teachers say that the preparation book with sample practice tests is more difficult than the actual exam. Is that true?
I don't think so.
Im b2 and dayummmm that looks very difficult
She is an extremely interesting woman and you are right when you point her attitude!! Her tips are always useful, I'd like to prepare C1, what kind of books am I supposed to buy or what films or series on Netflix should I watch?? Thanks
I made a video on book recommendations. And regarding Netflix series... anything as long as it's in English.
@@tothepointenglishwithben. Thanks, I hope to find your previous video, anyway do you think that series the crown could be appropriate for me? 👍😁
Yes, the Crown is a good idea
Sir... I need tutoring for C1 cambridge exam
Did she say"degree itis" by the way? I did not get the idea...at 7:29.
Yes, she did
What does she mean?

No, there's no obligation to take the lower levels first.
A question: is it right to study the topics from your writings to prepare for the oral, like a university exam?
I wouldn't say it's right or wrong but some vocabulary you use in your writings could be useful in the speaking paper. As long as it's not too formal.
This is Ramesh Kumar and I want to get C2 certificate . How could I do that??
You pay for the the exam and nail it
I could also share my tips if you want to interview people again :D
I'll keep you mind 👍
English is much easlier spoken. All fun and games truly start when I need to start typing. English spelling is finicky. Drives me mad whenever I am not backed up by spell checker
I know what I need, first of all, an English speaker partner apart from that, studying hard!
😆 That's it, Patricia!
More Bella, plz)
Guapa ❣️
She calamardo, don’t come at me or chase she looks like that 😂😂
Beautiful girl🌹💓

100%
Second to none!!!
